Strengths:
- [+] Sneaky - Two stealth systems offer the Chameleon with unparalleled capabilities in the stealth category. The Photo-Optic replicator takes readings from its surroundings to make the wearer appear invisible while the View Masker prevents the wearer from being recorded on any electronic device.
- [+] Lightweight - Simple enough. It's pretty lightweight stuff and less plating around joints offers ample mobility. Phrik plating offers reasonable protection will being extremely light.
- [-] Just armor - It's still just armor. Its anti-ballistic protection rating ain't that high and joints are exposed.
- [-] EMP - A well placed EMP grenade or ion grenade can knock out all of the wearer's stealth and support systems in the blink of an eye.
- [-] Duracell - Batteries. Since there's loads of tech on this thing, running them all at once will be a real strain. Whether it be the suit giving off energy readings or simply depleting the batteries quickly.
Sunwing is getting back into the game with its newest custom commission: The Chameleon armor system. First off, the frame and primary plating of this armor system is comprised entirely out of phrik plating - which offers outstanding protection without being extremely heavy. A thinsuit underlay composes the under portion, providing a reasonable amount of comfort and protection against variable conditions. However, engaging in combat is exactly what not to do when wearing this. For all intents and purposes, this is meant to be stealthy. To blend in and strike from the shadows before retreating with haste.
It's primary systems are two stealth systems. The photo-optic replicator is a harness being the primary system, takes readings from its surroundings before "painting" it on the wearer to make him appear invisible. The View Masker is for use during casual encounters, making the wearer appear distorted or even invisible to the naked eye and a multitude of scanners and recording devices.
The secondary support systems are the common, basic stuff often seen in SDF products. A variety of heads up displays, targeting systems, encrypted comlinks and data uplinks, the standard utility belt, and other techno-gadgetry sure to be of use in any situation the wearer finds himself in.
Summarily, it's a lightweight and stealthy armor system uniquely commissioned for The Slave. Lots of gadgets and tech systems, two primary stealth devices, what more could you ask for?
