The Castellax Foundation focuses on doing business with heavily urbanized or industrialized worlds, such as Coruscant and Corellia. They draft designs and plan out where best to build new structures in the limited space such planets had to spare, maximizing return for minimum take. The Castellax Foundation does this to ensure the people of these worlds are given proper housing and living conditions, where governments might look over the smaller things in an effort to save money or get things done quickly. The Castellax Foundations prices allow for governments to lease out construction rights to them, and they get it done faster then most nationalized work forces.
As well as building these new structures, the Castellax Foundation specializes in building security droids to patrol and protect these new areas, leasing out their constructions to local law enforcement agencies. Castellax droids are known for their high efficiency in the field, often out pacing droids made by the local governments, and accomplishing the tasks that would take the local police months to complete in a matter of days.
Recently, the Castellax Foundation has begun selling their services to private investors looking to protect their homes. Whether they are on backwater worlds to escape paying taxes, or living in a floating estate on Alderaan, the Castellax Foundation does not care. They arrive at the site, and within a matters of days turn the investors homes into a small fortress, as well as providing a contingent of security droids, if the investors pays extra.
RATIONALE
Rycherd Alistair was born on Empress Teta, the son of a private business man. The families company was small, with barely a dozen hired hands to help them with the construction projects of the outer edges of the worlds second city. Growing up, Rycherd always urged his father to try and get jobs inside the city, where they would make much more profit, but his father refused, always insisting they stick closer to their roots. Rycherd came to take control of the families company when he was nineteen, after his father was killed in a construction accident.
Less than a week after the funeral Rycherd was securing a contract with the city to begin construction of a new urban block. Rycherd shocked the other contractors when he arrived with plans that cut down much of the wasted space the others accepted would have to be there, and minimizing the costs it would take to build. After the success on their first project, the family company was soon beset by numerous other construction jobs, and Rycherd had to vastly increase the number of employees he had to meet the quota. Somewhere along the way, Rycherd renamed his families company the Castellax Foundation, to better represent the change they had undergone.
In one of their jobs within the capital itself, Rycherd noted that the urban center his company had built was being poorly policed and protected, with crime becoming rampant. Concerned somewhat with the peoples safety, but focused more on the potential profit, Rycherd contracted a droid specialist, and the following week offered the city government the new Castellax Security Droid. Within a month the first models were deployed, with crime rapidly falling in the areas the droids patrolled, as compared to other areas of the city. To meet the new rush of demand, Rycherd was forced to buy out a small companies factory, to begin mass production of the droids.
Upon returning to Empress Teta after securing the Castellax Foundations business on Corellia, a small series of riots erupted near his personal home, so Rycherd set out to fortify and protect his belongings, his actions drawing the attention of other business men and prominent members of the government. In a matter of weeks, nearly half a dozen private estates had similarly been fortified, turning their homes into small fortresses. This task soon came to be a prominent task of the Castellax Foundation.
