HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Akk Rider acts as the household guard, security force, and vanguard of Ghôsh Vass, inspired by the mythical Akk Guard that fought in the Clone Wars. The youths who exhibited combat prowess, loyalty, bravery, and strategic acumen are selected as a Rider. Upon successfully completing their training, a Rider is often dispatched with a cadre of 2-3 other riders on contract missions across the galaxy, or stay on-world on Haruun Kal to secure the interests of Ghôsh Vass.
The rise of Sinhton Vass, current patriarch of Ghôsh Vass, coincided with the religious conversion of the Vass. His experiences fighting against the Sith during the Omega War sparked a crisis of faith, and led to his conversion to Ashla. Sinhton expressly forbade dealings with the followers of Bogan- Ghôsh Vass would only deal with clients that fell in lines with Ashlan doctrine. The Akk Riders wholeheartedly accepted it, but it caused conflict among the non-secular factions on Haruun Kal.
This tension would come to a head when the Confederacy of Independent System's grip on Haruun Kal weakened, as their government vanished seemingly overnight. Fearing the ambitions of Ghôsh Vass, it's enemies launched a pre-emptive assault on Pelek Baw, the seat of Vass power, igniting a bloody civil war. The war has settled into a bloody stalemate as the Vass have begun a campaign of reprisals, the Akk Riders leading the charge to cut a bloody swath through their adversaries. Meanwhile, Sinhton's son, Levhi, fights with a contingent of Riders in Ashlan Space.

- Reputation: The Akk Riders are known for their deadly combat skills, and unmatched prowess on their mount and familiar, the akk dog. They, like many dôshallai of Vass, are contracted out by various factions for dangerous missions. However, The Akk Riders continuously take mission well into adulthood, whereas others serve one "tour" in their youth. Their skills are respected throughout the galaxy. Within Ashlan Space, they are still cultivating a reputation, though they are respected for their prowess and bravery.
