The brightest of flames must burn out

Mierin stood for a second, clearing the feeling of dizziness from her head. Then her eyes narrowed. The Darkside focused within her and the strength of her muscles seemed to come back. The pain that was scaling across her skin seemed to melt away, and the blood that spilled from her wounds seemed to stiffen slightly, slowing down. Her lightsaber ignited, bright red and hissing as it touched the floor beneath it.

She raised the blade, and touched it against her wounds.

The sounds of searing flesh filled the air followed quickly by the scent of burning skin. Mierin let out a cry of agony as her skin was cauterized in an instant by the plasma blade, her eyes shutting as she winced and move the lightsaber away from herself. She spun the blade in her hand for a moment, and then moved back towards the wall she had flown through.

The piercing red blade stabbed through the rock, slicing through it in a matter of seconds and removing her obstacle.

She came through the hole, only to find the two men gone.

Mierins lips twisted down into a scowl, the thrumming of her lightsaber resounding over and over again in her ears as she surveyed the now empty room. A pool of blood sat where the dying man had once been, a trail following out the door and into the streets. For a moment she considered following, but her head shook slightly as certain realizations dawned on her.

The man was dead, likely carried out by the boy. She was in no state to fight anyone else of merit if she encountered them, and her guess was that the boy had to have at least some friends.

No, she was done for the day.

Her lightsaber shut off, and a hissing in the other room alerted her to the fact that her Hydra Staff was still very much alive. She smiled slightly, wandering into the scorched and ember filled restaurant. Using the force to remove a section of rubble Mierin found her living weapon beneath a heavy table. It slithered free almost immediately, moving onto Mierins leg and taking up its place upon her spine once again.

The Dark Lords hand frowned slightly, and then left the wreckage.
