"Guess who is coming today for a visit?!” Teyla asked ecstatically, the twins in her arms squirming and cooing happily as though they understood. “That’s right, Auntie Eline!”
Both of the children had been dressed as fashionably as possible by their appearance-conscious nanny, Sera. Karina was fastened into a frilled onesie and skirt, her silky blonde hair brushed into a small ponytail and tied with a ribbon. Marcus, the more headstrong of her offspring, looked his best in a dapper onesie and ‘dress pants’, despite the apparent struggle it’d been to get him into his outfit.
“Let’s try to keep the drool to a minimum, hm?” she smiled and gave them each a snuggle before handing the barely three-month old babes to Sera. Teyla was finally starting to adapt to her new life and all it entailed, as well as feeling comfortable enough that she didn’t need to know where the children would be at every second of the day. More and more, the horrors of what happened following their birth seemed a distant memory.
Taking the speeder cab waiting outside of their flat to the docking bay, Teyla strode to the landing platform and waited for Eline’s arrival. She’d been trying to find a balance in the way she dressed that would be acceptable enough to the Naboo standard of fashion, but in a way that would remain true to who she was. Teyla thought Eline might appreciate the new shift in her sisters fashion, shedding the grungy smuggling garb and changing to a demure light-pink day dress with a smart fitted-jacket, and her hair properly done.
When Teyla finally caught sight of her sister coming down the loading ramp, bee-stung lips spread into a brilliant smile at the sight of her. “Eline!” she called with a merry wave, popping over to her older sister and giving her a proper hug. “You look wonderful! I’m so glad to see you! We’ve been anticipating your arrival, wait until you see how much the kids have grown. How was your flight?”
