Prophet of Bogan
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
The Strosite Bloodline naturally begins with Darth Strosius, His second attempt at siring a brood of Sangnir from Himself. His first attempt was fairly unsuccessful due to His own lacking knowledge of the Sangnir condition and any subsequent attempts were quickly proven to be failures as due to His own extensive Sithspawning practice over the years He couldn't simply Embrace another Sangnir naturally. His blood was simply too unstable to take root within another being. However given the need for empowered warriors and Sith alike in modern times as well as the invention of the Sarcophagi of Rebirth, Darth Strosius took to entertaining methods of crafting Sangnir progeny once again.
The process for creating a Strosite Sangnir is a very selective and gradual one, with individuals chosen exclusively by the Sith Lord Himself under strict criteria that only He is privy to. Once a chosen follower of Wonosa has been selected and has accepted the offer of Sangnirization, they are placed within a Sarcophagi of Rebirth and will be submerged in the blood of the Prophet Darth Strosius for a timespan of roughly one week. Throughout this week as they gestate and absorb the blood of their Sire, Sith rituals will be performed to imbue the Sarcophagus and its inhabitant within with raw power from the Dark Side.
Several living sacrifices will be made as well, both as part of the rituals and as a means to simply empower the process further. During their time in the Sarcophagus the chosen individual will be remade and reborn at a base level, their existing form metaphysically and literally torn apart and rebound into a new being born of Sith mysticism and Sangnir blood. After a week of gestation and rituals the Sarcophagus will be opened and the new Strosite Sangnir will open their eyes to a galaxy of new opportunity, power filling their veins as they rise from their slumber and take their first steps into their eternal service in the shadow of Darth Strosius.

- Description: Considered to be the highest honor and anointed of the Order of Wonosa, the Sangnir descended from Darth Strosius are often virulently passionate and zealous beings. They are rather easily spotted due to their distinctive tattoos and luminescent eyes as well as the vicious fangs and raw physical capabilities that they sport even in thin and seemingly fragile frames. Unafraid of death and immune to the ravages of time they are pristine and tempting individuals, able to draw in friend, foe, and prey alike with a mere glance and a flashed grin. They have a magnetic charisma and confidence that is impossible to ignore and difficult to resist.

- Distinctions: As with most other Sangnir, the Strosite bloodline sports pale appearances and ageless features that hide fanged maws within. Unlike most Sangnir however every member of this bloodline have glowing eyes, ranging from bright yellows to simmering ambers and even brilliant crimsons. Their eyes in spite of their unusual nature are often noted as being hypnotic in some sense, inviting appreciation rather than scorn or disgust. Additionally due to their Sithspawn nature they are not only adorned in varied yet similar black tattoos which span across their whole forms but also may have some other minor features such as clawed fingers or perpetually gaunt figures. All of them are also distinct presences within the Force, which of course can be masked with training but otherwise they exude the Dark Side as beacons of it. They are also, due again to their Sithspawn creation, unable to produce Thralls or Embrace others in the traditional sense.
- Races:
- Lowbloods: The first phase of life for a Strosite Sangnir, Lowbloods are fairly similar to their normal Sangnir cousins in their lack of a Warform whilst still sporting enhanced physical capabilities, senses, and a remarkable regeneration factor. This regeneration is noticeably improved for Strosite Sangnir, allowing even a freshly turned Strosite to regrow a lost limb within the span of a few minutes so long as they are sufficiently fed. They are also more ravenous than a typical Sangnir, unlikely to leave a victim alive after a feeding unless they've already fed within the last several hours. In spite of this more pronounced hunger they actually don't devolve into Ghouls if left starved, instead they simply wither more and more until collapsing into ashen husks.
- Highbloods: The more matured and refined phase of Strosite Sangnir life is achieved either by simply living long enough and undergoing a brief torpor or by a more synthetic alchemical induction process after the initial one which produced the Sangnir. Regardless these Highbloods are again recognizable to their traditional cousins by way of a monstrous Warform, with theirs being "mutated" as it were with any number of varying yet equally dangerous characteristics. This is also where the sheer supernatural draw of their pristine form becomes a proper ability, although Lowbloods are still fairly tempting and charismatic by default as well. A single look into their glowing eyes can mystify many who lack real willpower and are in need of a guiding presence, although this effect can be mitigated by simply breaking eye contact.
- Warform: The Warforms of Strosite Sangnir are perhaps the most clear and obvious evidence of their Sithspawn nature, physically at least. While they are all Chiropteran in appearance, at least in a broad sense, they often sport unusual appendages such as bladed limbs and spines or even additional limbs and eyes. Their tattoos also carry into their Warforms, displaying that they run far deeper than just adornments on skin.
- Force Sensitivity: All
- Lords of Blood: Sangnir have the ability to drain the life force of others through their bite, using the victim's blood as the medium. Known as Anima, this strange substance has a wide range of uses, including sustaining their immortality and mending wounds, fuelling brief surges of supernatural power, or even powering the esoteric technologies of their long-dead civilisation.
- Apex Predator: Much like their Energy Vampire cousins, the Sangnir have superior strength, senses, speed, and reflexes, even without drawing on their Maw and the Anima within. While not necessarily stronger (though their Maw is invariably "deeper"), Highbloods can transform into a Warform whose exact advantages depend on the individual, but which typically includes enhanced strength and durability. Equally useful during the modern hunt, they tend to possess an unearthly charisma, easily mesmerising the weak-willed with their gaze.
- Onto Eternity: By nibbling at or devouring the life of others, the Sangnir can perpetuate their existence forevermore - they can still be slain and indeed are no harder to injure than their appearance would indicate. That said, Anima can be "burnt" to accelerate their regeneration, with most being able to heal cuts and bruises easily and the greatest of them being able to recreate entire body parts - if well-fed.
- Blessed by Bogan: Perhaps the most important characteristic of the Strosite Sangnir, as a result of the rituals involved in their creation each member of their bloodline is Force Sensitive. Even those who weren't Force Sensitive at all or not sensitive enough to make use of the Force in any meaningful sense in their former lives will be endowed with such capability upon their rebirth as Strosite Sangnir. Of course naturally those that were noticeably Force Sensitive before undergoing the change will be exceptionally more potent afterwards as well.
- By Fire Be Purged: As their regeneration relies on Anima, which is carried through their blood, fire is anathema to the Sangnir, as is heat-based weapons such as lightsabers and, indeed, the common blaster. They are not necessarily more easily damaged by it, but cauterization makes the process of regeneration much more difficult - a Lowblood is unlikely to be able to heal even a grazing blaster burn in the midst of battle and even the mightiest, most ancient of Highbloods will perish from a blaster bolt through the heart as surely as any human.
- Holy Light: Being Sithspawn the Strosite Sangnir have a distinct weakness against the Light Side in most of its applications and presences, with wounds caused by such effects or even simple wounds whilst in the presence of such effects taking a far longer time and Anima investment to regenerate. Not unlike wounds caused by burning. A sufficiently powerful and prolonged exposure to the Light Side can even disintegrate a Strosite Sangnir entirely, proving understandably fatal.
- Found Wanting: When under the effects of Force Nullification the Strosite Sangnir are notably weaker, with Highbloods needing several minutes of time after being introduced to such effects to regenerate as major parts of their body will be shut down by it. While their Sangnir inclination is largely unaffected, their Sithspawn nature will reel in pain and will essentially become inoperable which limits their capabilities significantly.
- Diet: Omnivorous Hemovores, Sangnir require sustenance like anyone else. They are able to digest just about anything but tend to favor a carnivorous diet as a matter of preference, often with raw or cannibal diets in particular. In addition to common nutrition, they must semi-regularly feed on others (preferably sentients, though animals will do in a pinch), absorbing some or all of their life force through their blood, which is then converted to the substance the Sangnir know as Anima; the amount of actual blood consumed is usually fairly modest.
- Communication: Largely they are no different than any other Sentient species, however they do sport an inherent telepathic connection to one another that can be further enhanced via use of the Force. For Lowbloods this can mean seamless and silent communication across a building between one another without any real training, and for Highbloods the same is true but on a planetary scale. This inherent connection can be a bit revealing for the untrained Strosite Sangnir, making them more vulnerable to having their minds probed until they have either been properly trained or simply gain enough experience to be able to ward off intruders.
- Technology level: Nothing of note, reliant on the Order of Wonosa and Galactic Standard.
- Religion/Beliefs: Before their transformation into Strosite Sangnir each member of the species will be a follower of the Kotsûshatul Itsu. Believing in the divinity of the Dark Side with their personal roles as blessed of it to be the liberators of the galaxy, those who will lay low the criminal and slaver and uplift the downtrodden into the ways of the Sith.
- General behavior: By and large the Strosite Sangnir are simple continuations of their lives before their transformation in terms of behaviors, however due to the selective nature of their creation there are clear similarities and commonalities among them. They are ardent supporters and members of the Order of Wonosa, often holding themselves as exemplars of its teachings and institutions. They are often very communal creatures not only with one another but with their fellow cultists, fiercely loyal and protective of their peers to the point of endangering themselves on their behalf. They tend to be very passionate individuals and wind up either developing or continuing artistic hobbies and active social lives that only seem to grow with their extended lifespan. Even the most solemn of their number will have a burning core of revenge, love, or other such potent emotions with which they act. They are very confident to the point that some would label them prideful, although this would be a bit of a misunderstanding and an assumption which the Strosite Sangnir themselves would be happy to correct. Additionally they all regard their Sire, Darth Strosius, with respect and a cautiously familial attitude.
