[SIZE=11pt]Nelvaan; a planet where the thought of a warm breeze is as anathema as presuming to know the parentage of 90% of Darth Metus’ children. From the crystal-clear blue skies of the frozen planes to the cloud swept peaks of the many mountain ranges that dot the planet’s surface, Nelvaan is both beautiful and deadly. It made the choice of where to host the next round of the Blood Games a simple one.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=11pt]Near the most northern pole of the planet there lay a massive frozen lake, tucked neatly into an inlet formed by the gentle rolling of foothills that climbed dramatically to the jagged peaks of snow-capped mountains. Though Nelvaan was frozen year round, due to the tilt of the rock in its rotation around the star at the centre of the sector, this part of the planet was plunged into the deepest part of winter. The star’s light would not reach the most northern mountain ranges for nearly half of their planetary year, and as the Confederacy selected the windswept tundra that the lake top had become as the setting for the next battle, it was during that frigid season that they’d arrived.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=11pt]The winds that made Nelvaan nearly uninhabitable at its most remote points were muted that morning, the sky clear and the surface of the lake gleaming brilliantly in the projected light from the stands that had been erected to oversee the battle. Several banks of enclosed, heated stands that were outfitted with repulsor tech to allow them to hover above the surface of the lake were slowly circling the combatants, all of whom stood center ‘stage’ atop the glass-like lake’s surface.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=11pt]From one of the floating stands came a booming voice, projected over speakers that caused the sound to reverberate across the hills and sloping mountains that cradled the lake in their centre. “Welcome, one and all, to the second round of the Blood Games! Below we have our combatants: [/SIZE][SIZE=11pt][member="Uthixo Nazim"], [member="Asaraa Vaashe"], and [member="Alkor Centaris"][/SIZE][SIZE=11pt]. They will battle against not only one another but the elements of Nelvaan, and some surprises that we’ve got planned as well!”[/SIZE]
[SIZE=11pt]A round of uproarious applause filled the inlet with a near deafening roar, the echoes of the sound bouncing up the mountainsides and being lost to the endless, clear skies. “LET THE GAMES, BEGIN!”[/SIZE]
