- Blade of Flame: The Blade, due to it's installed crystal, seems to constantly spout flame from it's length. This also seems to cause anything it strikes, regardless of it's the metal blade or the plasma saber, to ignite and burn.
- Blade of Storm: The Blade, much like other sith swords, can act as a conduit for sith lightning, allowing for directed strikes or strikes harnessed lightning.
- Light-Sword: The Blade doubles as both a sith sword and a lightsaber. With a small button on the hilt, the blade extends with a plasma extension, allowing for surprise strikes, and directed attacks.
- No Dimetris-circuit: The blade lacks the circuit required for Cortosis to disrupt it, making it immune to such attacks.
- Sith Blade: The metal portion of the blade is designed just like other alchemized blades, allowing it to never dull and cut with a ferocity unnatural to the world.
- Beskar strike: The handguard and pommel are made for Beskar retrieved during the mission to Ma'ar Shaddam. This allows it's user to use the pommel to crack through beskar armor with a strong enough strike, and deflect beskar weapons that would normally destroy the weapon
- Water-Proof: Much like other sabers, the Blade is made to work underwater if need be, allowing it's user to have a leg up on ocean planets.
- Short-Sword: The Metal portion of the blade is, by design, not as long as one would expect. A 3 foot blade, it's lack of reach can be mitigated by the saber extention, but should that be disabled, it would be left with a reach problem.
- Directed EMPs: While the reinforced Duraplast prevents The Blade from shorting out from minor EMP blasts, anything more directed will short out the blade.
- Force-nullification: While a weapon can still function with this crystal in a Force-nullified field, the Force Enhancements of the Blade cannot. So in the presence of a Void stone or Ysalamiri field, she will not benefit from the Force-imbuement. This would leave the user with a simple steel blade with a lightsaber extention
Designed as a gift for her master, Dekaltis made the blade for Malum as a way for Malum to enhance it already aggressive fighting style. Designed to throw opponents off by switching it's length with the press of a button, the Blade of Storm and Fire allows Malum to direct electrical attacks, or pyrokinetic attacks with the swing of a blade.
