- Elaborate sensory equipment: CGT allows for the detection of stealthed starships, which don't use gravitic modulation. The gemcutter allows the ship to detect where a cloaked ship is reversing from hyperspace.

- The design has multiple fragile points, where glasteel was installed instead of phrik plating for aesthetic reasons.
- While experimental in nature and as such smaller than regular Solar Sails, they still make the Baqani a way larger target. They unfold like wings around the main body of the ship to increase efficiency-to-size ratio, but are very fragile. If they were to be damaged sufficiently it could cause overloads in the power lines all across the ship.
The Baqani is a diplomatic starship first and foremost.
It has no offensive armament to speak of, instead opting to focus all its attention on getting out of sticky situations fast and with minimum damage to itself. Lord Fa was approached through backchannels for the creation of this ship and decided that it was worthy of the best the shipyards of Humbarine had to offer. For this reason phrik from Alderaan was bought at competitive prices - being part of the same coalition had its advantages - which was used to create the hull.
Phrikite ensured that the hull would be relatively light, but strong enough to withstand capital-grade assault if the shields ever failed during a pursuit. The shields consists of two systems: the advanced deflector shields and the molecular shielding overlayed across it. It is that second part that ensures that even a direct hit will at least partially be used for the advantage of the ship.
A small, but not inconsiderable portion of the energy soaked up by the molecular shielding is re-routed towards the engines and deflector shields of the Baqani. This ensures that during combat the starship will have a moderate boost in speed and shielding, at least until the molecular shields collapse.
Cutting edge technology and a lack of weaponry ensures that the ship is fast and agile, which is a must in a Galaxy dominated by pirates and other scum. But Fa Holdings acknowledges that it is possible the regular propulsion systems could become non-functional.
That is where the solar sails come into play.
Inspired by the ancient solar sails pre-Gulag they have been made as small as possible, before being reintegrated into collapsible chutes all around the hull. The mechanism allows a two-step engagement of the sails, when the ship is out of combat.
They unfold themselves around the main structure of the ship, before being prioritized as the main means of propulsion.
