OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Unit Name:
    • The Azz'naldo Priesthood
  • Affiliation:
  • Classification:
    • Force Users
  • Description:
The Azz'naldo Priesthood is a group of force adepts that support the Arcane Spellcasters on the Battlefield. They serve as the voice of the deity of the tribe known as the Great Vortex and work on various worlds to bring more people into the tribe's fold. Handpicked from those force sensitive children abandoned by the spellcaster warband within the main tribe. Unlike the Arcane Spellcasters; those within the Priesthood are not brainwashed into following the vortex but utterly believe that serving the deity will allow them to expand their knowledge considerably. Although they lack the offensive power of the arcane spellcasters; they are more than able to hold their own against a knight level force user for a limited amount of time before being defeated.

Typically seen wearing a large flowing purple robe with ornate white decorations on the sleeve and hood. Small ornaments of gold hang off of their robe with an ornate face mask that covers their features to avoid being identifiable within a database. A large purple cape draps their back and acts almost like a cloak; protecting them from rain and the elements. The Symbol of the Priesthood is a golden and purple staff upon a black background with the symbol of the techno magorum tribe placed directly above the ornamental orb that decorates the staff.

COMBAT INFORMATION:

The Azz'naldo Priesthood are meant to be the support priest for the Arcane Spellcasters on the Battlefield. Providing them protection from opponents by circling around them since the spellcasters are rare in number and losing one is costly to the Techno Magorum Tribe. Since they are recruited from various species; their natural abilities are wide ranging but in terms of force powers they are generally weaker due to not having the same training standards as the traditional jedi and sith orders.

Their primary function in combat is to support the Arcane Spellcasters in running Logistics for the Techno Magorum Tribe and protect them from harm. They can be seen as the officers of the Techno Magorum Tribe; being one of the largest groups within the Spellcaster Warband. They interact much more with the larger army of the tribe being seen as the voice of the Great Vortex and can conduct rituals and blessings upon those who are loyal to the tribe. They are much more likely to fight with the warriors of the tribes on the battlefield; drawing a comparison to Sith Warriors of the Old Sith Empire. They generally do not need protection on the battlefield.

Force Abilities (Force User Units Only):

Strengths:
  • Zealous Loyalty:
    • The Azz'naldo Priesthood is extremely loyal to the Great Vortex of the Force due to being marked with the symbol of Arimurkhan the Defiler. Their loyalty to the Techno Magorum Tribe is without question and betrayal amongst their ranks is very slim which means they can be trusted not to switch sides on the battlefield.
  • Major Support Group:
    • The Azz'naldo Priesthoods main function is supporting the Techno Magorum Tribe and specifically the Arcane Spellcasters. They have several unique powers which allow them to boost infantry and defend themselves from opponents. They function like the high level officers for the Techno Magorum and are considered to be above most of the tribe within the command structure due to being the Voice of the Vortex.
Weaknesses:
  • Void Stones and Ysalamiri Bubble:
    • Much like any force user, the use of void stones or a ysalamiri bubble will null any power that they have and make them considerably less effective as support on the battlefield. Although they can fight against opponents using their blades they aren't trained for melee combat and are more regarded as a sorcery group. In the event that they do come across a opponent with one of these they would rather withdraw.
  • Training Deficiency:
    • While the Azz'naldo Priesthood can use the force to some degree; they each have a different skill level. Meaning that they all aren't at the full strength that they should be. Some will only be the level of a padawan in strength and be easy to defeat, while the highest members will function like knights in terms of combat. However it takes a considerable longer period of time for them to reach mastery level due to them not being trained by a well established force order.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

The Azz'naldo Priesthood can trace their origin back to the Foundation of the Techno Magorum Tribe by Arimurkhan the Defiler. Starting out as low level sorcerers within the Spellcaster Warband of the Sorcerer's Host; Arimurkhan's personal band of Bloodsworn Warriors which followed him into the east to lay siege to various worlds for the Brotherhood of the Maw. Once the Three Avatars were casted off by their leader, the need for a personal clergy like the Ashlan Crusade became clear in order to draw more people into the worship of the Great Vortex.

Such a clergy was made by the Arcane Spellcasters to whom the Spellcaster Warband is named, however their rarity and social distance from the rest of the tribe made this difficult. The Spellcasters now occupied in expanding their force powers for the Techno Magorum lead to the creation of a separate division within the Warband dubbed the Azz'naldo Priesthood. The Priesthood was proclaimed as the Voice of the Great Vortex and its speaker while the Exalted Prophet was away.

The Priesthood has managed to gain some level of respect within the Tribe, although the Arcane Spellcasters are not happy about being replaced with a group of new force users. A few months of converting people into worshipping the tribe's deity allowed the tribe's numbers to expand considerably enough for them to siege a world and maintain it. The Priesthood was ordered to support the Arcane Spellcasters on the battlefield and serve as their bodyguards if need be. Although after the Death of Arimurkhan the Defiler before the battle of Tython. The Priesthood was given additional roles of serving as front line officers like the Sith Warriors of the Old Sith Empire.

The Priesthood are now stationed within a vast temple on Skraalzzar; serving the whims of the Second Exalted Prophet Korious Tharenai.

Just one major issue we should tackle before approval.

  • Unit Experience: This unit has nine different Force powers, and is described as being able to fight off Knight-level Force-users. That is not appropriate for a Trained-level unit, which would be equivalent to basic Imperial Stormtroopers. This unit should either be Veteran experience at minimum, or should have its powers and capabilities reduced.
