"The Award for Kark up of the Year goes to..."

[member="Felicity Mason"]

He shook his head. "No i do, i just didn't realize i would have to talk to your father first... and did you mean when we get back to the palace?" He smiled and ran his thumb over the back of her hand. "Ok then, lead on Miss Mason, i would love to say the very things i just said to you a million times." His eyes found her eyes, the blue eyes that drew him in so easily. "Wow..."

She shook her head, moving to walk ahead with him hand in hand.

"Not today. I don't think he's on Naboo at the moment. But soon, I think."

Daddy always showed up when he was least expected. She could never call him to her. He would come when he wanted. Not as often as either she or her Mother would like.

"Until you speak to him though," she continued, letting go of his hand, "I won't hear any more of it."

"Oh... ok." He sighed as she let go of his hand, nodding and backing out of the cloak to pull it around her only again. "We should get you home before you catch a cold my lady, id hate too see those beautiful eyes accompanied by a red nose... though your red face is more than pretty so maybe we shouldn't stop that cold." He grinned, the compliment half made to cause her to blush and to get the other her back to the forefront of the conversation, the one that would punch him.

The moment he was out of the cloak, she felt a strange disappointment. He was warm. Maybe she could convince him to sit on her bed with her and warm her while she finished her homework... No, that was a bit much. She'd only ever had Owain in her room, and that was so he could take care of her while she was injured.

"D-don't try to flatter me," she stuttered, giving him a light playful punch to the arm, "You don't need to do that."

[member="Glyph"]

"I may not need too, but i love your reaction to it." He smiled as she punched his arm, walking wih her back to the palace, the distance sufficient shortened by the first part of their walk, his eyes only leaving her face when they needed to. Or when she caught him looking and he tried to pretend he hadn't been.

Felicity could be so stupid sometimes, but she wasn't blind. She noticed him staring. He truly liked her. Not a fake. Not like the rest. They were at the palace gates. Felicity walked past with her body guard without a single movement form the guards to stop her. They knew the Queens daughter easily.

"So.... When are you going to contact him? Daddy I mean."

[member="Glyph"]

"Well... i actually don't even know who he is so... its kind of hard for me too. I would love to now but i am not sure if so soon after this disaster is right... I mean from the battle, not what we talked about." He smiled as she mentioned contacting him, and truth was he would do it the first chance he could if given that chance... He was a bit confused why though...

"You don't know who-? Wait a minute!"

She stopped just inside the palace doors, looking at him like he was Naboo's biggest idiot.

"You don't even know who my father is!? Blond guy? Scary face? Glowing red eyes stuck to his face? Hangs around the Queen? Seriously?"

"Sorry, let me rephrase that, ive seen him but what i meant was that i don't even know how to contact him. Im -your- guard, not his." He sighed, she had to think he was an absolute moron after saying that. Leaning againts the inside of the palace doors he looked up at the ceiling and shook his head. "Im sorry, i have got to sound like the Galaxy's largest idiot."

"Well..."

Felicity gave him a little half smile and a shrug. She couldn't stay annoyed with him.

"You are my body guard. I suppose that would give you access to my records, including my parental contact information. Or if you'd prefer, I can call him myself and tell him that the guy who wants to date me is too scared to talk to him."

She winked, dropping the cloak onto the perfect tile before rushing up the vast marble stair case, swinging her book bag like a child.

"Thats me, the scared of your powerful father guy that wants to be your boyfriend, so when are you making the call?" He sighed and nodded. "Well, then i guess i have a call to make... uh though i don't think that doing it here in the middle of everyone one is the best place..." He rubbed his neck, watching as two servants watched the two of them and laughing a bit like Felicity had said something to get them to stop watching.

Bending down he picked up the cloak and followed her, silent as he watched her act carefree and... very different. Infact she hadn't even been sur- wait... "You don't have a cousin, do you?"

She paused, one foot on the top step. Did he just...? She smiled. Wide.

"Ding ding ding! We have a winner!"

The blond turned around. Another wink and she ran ahead again. So, he was smart enough to figure it out after all. She hoped he wasn't mad. Daddy probably would have been impressed with her ability to think on her feet. But her daddy wasn't like most people. Sometimes she forgot that.

"You clever..." He didn't finish the sentence as he smiled and run after her, grinning as he finally reached her and spoke. "You made me repeat that for nothing missy, tsk tsk." He grinned and ran with her until she would stop, for a moment forgetting about her father and more interested in the fact that she hid that fact from him. "Well this explains you running off now."

The little princess sprinted through the halls, laughing at her... her what? Boyfriend? Was he her boyfriend now? No. She supposed not. Not until he did things proper and spoke to her father. When he caught her, she was at her bedroom door. She stopped, back pressed against it, giving him a teasing smile.

"Are you very angry with me?"

He bent over and placed his hands on his knees. His eyes focusing on her and smiling wide as he shook his head. "Naw, just don't run so fast next time, you are lucky i didn't trip or knock into someone." He looked around and straightened up to look at her. "So, about those parental contact details, or did you want me to wait till another ball comes by for you to trick me again?"

The blond girl lowered her head slightly but looked up at him through her eyelashes. Behind her, she was pressing the code to get into her room. 4-7-1-8. The door slid open.

"That's your job, mister body guard."

She gave him a little wave before slipping into her bed room.

"Wait, i don-" He watched as the door closed and sighed, a grin on his face as he looked at the door for a few more seconds. Rubbing his neck he now had a problem, how in the hell did he find the contact data. Grabbing a comlink he called down to security as he made his way there. "Hey, is Glyph. Ya i need to access some records, can you pull up the information on the father of lady mason? Thanks." He powered it off and started walking through the halls at a slow pace, thinking on how he was going to even do this.

It took him about ten minutes to get down there and find the information, now though, it had been thirty minutes and he just sat there with comlink in hand and his head pulled back before switching to the frequency that belonged to the man named [member="Keter"]. "Sir, this is Glyph, Lady Felicity's guard... i am contacting you as i need to meet with you." He leaned his head back again and rubbed his neck with the comlink off. "Oh gods, this is going to be great, i really hope that they don't record this and hold this over my head for the next few months." He sighed and looked at the security cameras, knowing that someone was watching him now.

As for the young Miss Mason, she was busy changing out of her school uniform. If he managed to get in contact with her dad, she would honestly be impressed. Daddy was hard to reach. Still, as her personal body guard, he did have access to information that most of the palace staff wouldn't. She wasn't going to hold her breath, but it was always possible that dad might agree to speak to him.

"Dads going to kill him," she giggled, pulling a new dress on over her head, "Oh... Wait. He might actually kill him."
She went to her door, debating. She should run out there and stop him. Daddy wasn't like most people. He was hard to predict, even for her.

Nah. He's young. Dad'll go easy on him, I think. I just wish I could be there to see his face. Little girls don't stay little forever.

The noise of tools drowned out his curses. Deep in the Theed hangar, the Inferno Duo sat, slightly rusted and dripping. After crashing it into the river, Keter had been ordered to retrieve it by his wife. The Queen of Naboo could not stand littering, of any kind. It had taken a while to dredge it up, and he had been performing repairs on it since. The blond sighed and wiped his oily hands on his trousers, sweat running off his brow. A small icon popped up in his sight. A priority message. Curious, he checked it. Something involving his daughter and his bodyguard? A predatory grin spread over his face as he hopped off the ship onto the floor and began walking to the palace proper, paying no mind to his dirtied state. This could be fun.

"Mr [member="Glyph"] , meet me in the entrance hall," he replied, sending the message with a shake of his head. The servants liked to gossip, and he liked to listen. Time to see if a rumour was true...

Glyph read the message and his smile faltered for a moment, the man was actually going to meet him. He sighed as a weight fell off his shoulders before a stupid grin returned to his face and he rolled his head. "Time to go get killed." He didn't really think he was going to die, but there are things that he didn't think would end well for him, and this was one. With his head held high he went to the hall, sitting down and waiting as he slowly tapped his fingers on his leg.
