Private The Assumption - Infiltrating Malsheem

KTDAs3h.jpeg

Months have passed since Jairdain was abducted by the heinous Dark Lord Darth Carnifex Darth Carnifex . The Jedi Master and Counsel Member is with chid, and her faction and family sought vehemently to recover her location.

Heinous meets heinous this day.

Spasa, Pom Stych Tivé Pom Stych Tivé 's twin Soul, an eternally young prodigy in the Force, devised her own plan to infiltrate the one place where she knows information on the activities of Carnifex will be available, his personal home, Malsheem. She studied diligently under Jax Thio Jax Thio to assume her role, posing as Pomstychtivé, herself. She trusts him as being able to save her, should she find herself seduced by the darkside while assuming her role to benefit others.

The following Tale is what has been accomplished within just the past few hours.

The Mistress Pomstychtivé was called into the Bone Temple upon Malsheem, and beckoned to walk out of it within the Nether on Dathomir, through the connection between the two places by the mastering of magick of the Warlock's Gate. His Mistress stayed until the Witching Hour was about to conclude, when the passage through the Bone Temple would become closed off from Malsheem once again.

"Pomstychtivé," Spasa whispered, a specter concealed beyond the veil, watching her twin turn to seek her face, stealing her attention just long enough for the Warlock's Gate to close the porthole. As the Nightmother lifted her arms to conjure up the Darkside of the Force… Spasa knew the Nightmother had become completely incapacitated once before by Ysalamari, and she unleashed a scurry of them upon the soil of Dathomir, yanked the beasts right out of the Nether to fall at Pom's feet. The Nightmother recoiled as a poison blow dart shot into her neck dropping the wife of Carnifex like a ragdoll.

A Force Suppression Device was immediately locked about her neck. The Ysalamari were an added measure, to keep the Nightmother from slipping into the Nether and likely become lost to her, and in turn, to keep anyone from receiving an astral call of assistance from the Nightmother.

Spasa next stripped her twin of everything personal, and donned herself in the many amulets, relics, jewels and artifacts wielded by the Nightmother for both offensive and defensive measures. She acquired her weaponry, potions, purse, and changed out her attire completely, working as quickly as she could.

Over the next few hours, head to head, this Jedi worked over the mind of her twin, to memorize her dialect, her nuance, how she engages her family on Malsheem… especially Carnifex.

If anyone is coming with her to Malsheem, the dreaded worldcraft of the Kainates, they too will need change into the attire of the people. The Walock's Gate will activate in 23 hours time, and the Bone Temple will open once again, allowing Spasa to walk onto Malsheem, to begin her hunt for the information on Jairdain's detention center.

Nitya had spent months learning what it meant to have patience forced upon her.

Waiting had never meant doing nothing. She had searched where she could, followed fragments of information that had led nowhere, spoken with family and allies, and endured the particular helplessness of knowing that somewhere beyond her reach her mother remained in the hands of Darth Carnifex. Jairdain had survived too much for Nitya to convince herself that she was fragile, and the child she carried only strengthened her certainty that her mother would endure whatever was being done to her. Yet certainty was not comfort, and with every week that passed, Nitya had become more aware of the quiet pressure building beneath her composure. She wanted her mother home. She wanted her safe. More than anything, she wanted something she could finally do that did not end with another closed path and another unanswered question.

She had not expected that path to begin with Pomstychtivé lying unconscious upon the soil of Dathomir.

Nitya remained a short distance away while Spasa worked, her expression composed even as she watched one sister methodically transform herself into the other. There was something deeply unsettling about the precision of it. Clothing could be copied, possessions taken, and mannerisms studied, but Spasa was attempting something far more complete. She was preparing to walk into the home of Darth Carnifex and convince those closest to Pom that the woman standing before them belonged there. One mistake could expose her. One hesitation at the wrong question, one familiar gesture performed incorrectly, one person who knew Pom well enough to notice something indefinably wrong, and Malsheem would cease to be an infiltration and become a prison for another member of their family.

Perhaps Nitya should have been more disturbed by what had been done to Pom herself. Instead, when her gaze settled upon the unconscious Nightmother, she found surprisingly little sympathy waiting for her. She did not hate the woman. Hatred had never come easily to Nitya, even when she thought perhaps it should, but Pom had chosen her place beside Carnifex and the family he had created around himself. Her mother had not chosen to become his prisoner. If incapacitating Pom created the opening that brought Jairdain home, Nitya was not going to waste the opportunity wondering whether the method had been kind.

Her attention returned to Spasa, studying her with the same quiet thoroughness she had once applied to forgotten histories and ancient teachings. "You have twenty-three hours," she said, more thoughtfully than urgently. "That gives us time to make certain anyone going with you belongs in whatever role they are given." Nitya had no intention of telling Spasa how to conduct an infiltration she had spent far longer preparing, nor did she imagine herself suddenly qualified to navigate the household of a Sith Lord. If she went through the Warlock's Gate, she would be support, another piece of the deception rather than its architect, and she was comfortable with that. Pride mattered considerably less than bringing her mother home.

The thought of walking willingly into Malsheem should perhaps have frightened her more than it did. Nitya knew what waited on the other side in principle, and she knew enough of Carnifex to understand that entering his domain was nothing like stepping onto an ordinary hostile world. Yet beneath the caution there was something firmer. For months, distance had been the enemy. Her mother had existed somewhere beyond it, unreachable and unseen. Now there was a door. It was an extraordinarily dangerous door, admittedly, but Nitya had never required a path to be safe before she was willing to walk it.

"I'll go with you, if you have a place for me," she said at last, her voice carrying none of the anger that might have been expected of a daughter discussing the man who held her mother captive. That anger existed somewhere within her, muted and distant as so many of her stronger emotions tended to be, but determination had always been easier for Nitya to understand. "I don't need to be the person who finds her. I don't need Carnifex to know I was ever there." Her gaze moved briefly toward the place where the Warlock's Gate had closed before returning to Spasa. "I only care that Mother comes back through that gate with us."

Only then did Nitya look down at herself, considering the practical clothing that would identify her as an outsider long before anyone bothered asking who she was. A faint trace of humor softened an otherwise serious expression. "Which apparently means the first challenge is making me look as though I belong on Malsheem." Her eyes returned to Spasa and then, inevitably, to the unconscious woman whose identity Spasa was preparing to borrow. "Tell me what I need to wear, what I need to know, and who you need me to be. I can listen and observe until the gate opens."

For a moment her composure softened, and what lay beneath it became easier to see. Months of waiting had taught Nitya patience, but they had done nothing to diminish the ache of her mother's absence. Jairdain had always seemed like one of those fixed points in her life, someone who might travel impossibly far and disappear into duties of her own but nevertheless remained there, woven permanently into the shape of Nitya's world. Perhaps that was why the abduction had felt so wrong. It was not merely that Carnifex had taken someone she loved. He had taken someone Nitya had never truly imagined could be taken from them at all.

Her gaze returned to the place where the Warlock's Gate would open again in twenty-three hours, and her expression settled into quiet resolve. "We've spent long enough trying to discover where he took her from the outside," she murmured. There was no dramatic promise behind the words, no declaration of vengeance or fury she did not genuinely feel. Only the certainty that when the passage opened again, she intended to be ready. "Perhaps it is time someone went inside and asked his secrets directly."

Spasa Spasa

KTDAs3h.jpeg

Spasa bent down over Pomstychtivé incanting her ancient spell, while additional Jedi who wished to assist Jairdain, stepped forward tugging along a cryogenic chamber the size of a coffin.

Pom and Spasa had been one single entity, before the Nightsisters' Fanged God and the Ashla of the Empyrean had both fought over her for individual worship. The god of evil and the god of goodness tore her in two, and each walked off with their prize. Twin souls had been born out of one young naive girl. Not long afterward Darth Carnifex Darth Carnifex subjugated the Nightsisters' own god of evil to better agree to do their bidding for the covens, freeing them from the demand to worship the outdated deity. Carnifex himself pushed that entity aside, and acquired his throne. Some Nightsister covens fell in line, while others were gathered up by the old deity, and forced to continue with their life of worship in exchange for the granting of magick, as if his throne had not been toppled.

During the time the Jedi kept Pom subdued, Spasa required the ingestion of an ancient Potion which she had been dreading needing to consume all along. It would make her exactly like Pomstychtivé in appearance, demeanor, emotion and action. Her force presence itself, would be cloned, an exact warping, an undetectable imposter.

The Nightsister worried that she couldn't handle the transformation, that all the chaotic fury which would unleash inside her mind might cause her to prolong her mission, to uncover the location of Nitya's mother. Spasa hopes they do come through the portal with Jairdain, but she just doesn't know for sure what they will uncover.

She remained focussed on Pom. "I see something inside her, I only heard of before. It's a coven of my ancestors called the Wanica. Perhaps they too can be strung along with us. Their presence will assist us."

Spasa saw visions of Malsheem, the lifestyle, customs, layout, library access codes. Pom held a huge amount of insight into Carnifex himself. He seems to have a one track mind… 'Greeeeeaaaaat..' she thought, at least during these last remaining hours that she shall remain coherent regarding who she truly is, until the future date when the clock stops ticking on her transformation, and the Magick wears off, when they had better be safely back on Dathomir by that time.

A personal spark within her eyes began to slowly shift, representative of the light being snuffed from her soul, slow enough as it began that she could become accustomed to the shift. "Nitya, you will be introduced as my newly appointed Apprentice. You will be afforded social graces, excused of any unintentional trespasses to local customs. I have…" Her gaze became intense; the potion is working. "Pom takes on many students for one on one magickal training. It is a grueling time, where others respectfully leave me alone to my crafting." Spasa thought something elusive stirs within the back of her mind; the transformation is rooting. She is changing. "There will be notes to inscribe in my journal, and ingredients to catalog." She pat her pockets, "Yes. I am sure I have collected them all…just last night."

"Tell Jax Thio Jax Thio , Spasa will most definitely require him to help her find my way out of this in the end,"
she seethed through gritted teeth, as the love in her eyes fell away, warping to lust, hatred, self loathing, sacrifice and pridefulness… If she becomes irredeemable, Jax could just walk into the Empyrean and lead out an army of Spasas who exist within eternity. At that, the Jedi knew the alteration was soon to be completed, and they did not want to be present after that moment. They led the Cryogenic Chamber away with the Nightmother inside, onto their awaiting ship.

Only she could pull this off, to literally and entirely become consumed in essence beyond who she had once herself been, into Pomstychtivé. Her new existence birthed a spiritual connection to Carnifex, of which she had been aware, but could not have anticipated just how deep. The depth of the Darkside which suddenly unleashed from within the redeemed caused her body to jerk in resistance. It was heavy, crude, and somehow reminded her of her youth. It took her a moment to become stabilized in her new alignment. She remembered it, but had never withstood the magnitude of it and only it which Pom welcomed into her being, a state of being which Carnifex emanates. She welcomed her transformation, quick as it was, and in turn her own thoughts had entirely slipped away.

Nitya asked her for help. "Do you mean that you wish to be given coven robes? They will be found within the Bone Temple just yonder." The Temple stood an apostasy to the living. Man eating plants gathered the dead, and formed the temple out of their bones. During the Witching Hour, it becomes one horrific wailing mass of conjoined resurrected flesh and bone.

Spasa stood, looking towards the Bone Temple which stood on Dathomir, no longer even aware of what she had chosen to do. The agenda took root deep in her mind, and faded that she should make a mental note to make an inquiry regarding Jairdain, someone she used to know, whose memory crossed her thoughts just now. She awaited for the Warlock's Gate to activate yet again from inside the Netherworld, when she would return home onto Malsheem.

"Let's get you situated. I run a grueling schedule this time of year, to prepare for the approaching equinox."

The ghostly witches of the Wanica awaited the approach of their Mistress within the Bone Temple. Pomstychtivé's Onyx stone necklace which Spasa wore shimmered in the morning light, and hummed with its grounding sensation.

Nitya watched the transformation with a stillness that concealed considerably more unease than it revealed. She had understood what Spasa intended when the plan was explained, or at least she had believed she understood it. Changing clothing, learning another woman's speech, carrying her possessions, and memorizing the habits of those around her were things Nitya could comprehend as parts of an elaborate deception. Even altering the appearance of a Force presence was not entirely beyond what she had encountered before. What unfolded before her now was something else entirely. Spasa was not merely becoming convincing enough to pass for Pomstychtivé. Piece by piece, the woman Nitya had been speaking to seemed to be disappearing beneath someone who already existed.

She noticed it first in the eyes. The change was subtle enough that someone less attentive might have dismissed it, but Nitya had spent much of her life observing what others overlooked. Affection receded, and something harsher occupied the space it left behind, followed by changes in posture, expression, and even the rhythm of Spasa's words. By the time she spoke of her students and corrected herself from Pom to me, Nitya felt a chill that had nothing to do with Dathomir's air. She said nothing about it. Calling attention to Spasa beneath the transformation might accomplish nothing except create conflict inside a mind already being rewritten, and their entire plan depended upon that transformation being complete enough to deceive people who knew Pom intimately.

The warning concerning Jax received little outward reaction beyond a small inclination of Nitya's head. She had not spoken with him in years, and there were old complications attached to his name that she had no desire to examine here. Whatever existed between herself and Jax mattered considerably less than what Spasa had just entrusted him to do. If she returned from Malsheem unable to remember why she had gone there, or unwilling to relinquish what the potion had made her, then someone would have to reach whatever remained beneath it. Nitya could only hope that Spasa had been right to believe Jax capable of doing so.

Then the change finished taking hold, and Nitya understood with uncomfortable clarity that there might be no value in speaking to Spasa at all. The woman who turned toward her was Pomstychtivé.

Nitya allowed that realization to settle before answering, carefully changing the way she regarded the woman before her. If she were to be Pom's newly appointed apprentice, then she could not spend the next several hours searching her face for traces of Spasa or reacting whenever the borrowed identity became too convincing. On Malsheem, hesitation could expose both of them. Worse, it could destroy whatever chance they had of finding Jairdain. Her mother remained the purpose beneath every layer of deception, and Nitya held tightly to that truth even as the woman who had devised the plan appeared to forget it.

"Yes," she answered calmly when Pom asked whether she meant coven robes, her gaze following hers toward the Bone Temple. "If I am to be presented as your apprentice, I should look like someone you would actually choose to train." There was no challenge in her voice and no attempt to remind Pom that only moments ago they had discussed precisely this. Instead, Nitya accepted the altered reality Spasa had deliberately created and stepped into the role assigned to her. She could observe. She could listen. She could learn quickly. Those had always been among her greatest strengths, and on Malsheem, they might prove considerably more valuable than pretending to possess expertise she did not have.

The Bone Temple was another matter. Nitya's attention lingered on it as they approached, taking in the grotesque architecture and the life that fed on death around it, without allowing distaste to slow her steps. Dathomir had already taught her that much of its Magick refused the comfortable distinctions through which Jedi traditionally understood the Force, but this place seemed almost determined to test the limits of that acceptance. Somewhere within waited the robes that would help turn Nitya Xeraic into someone who belonged at Pomstychtivé's side, and beyond it, when the Warlock's Gate opened again, waited Malsheem. She had asked to be told what to wear, what to know, and who she needed to become. Apparently, the lesson had begun.

"A grueling schedule sounds appropriate," Nitya replied, allowing the faintest suggestion of dry humor into her voice as she fell into step with her supposed teacher. "I would be a rather disappointing apprentice if I complained before the first lesson." Her attention briefly settled upon the shimmering onyx at Pom's throat before returning to the path ahead. She wondered how much the artifacts Spasa had taken reinforced the transformation, and how much of the woman walking beside her remained capable of recognizing anything beyond the life she had borrowed. There was no way to ask without risking the illusion, so Nitya tucked the question away with all the others she could not yet answer.

The mention of the equinox gave her something safer to pursue. If Pom expected an apprentice preparing for it, then Nitya needed to know what that apprentice would reasonably understand. "Then you should probably begin by telling me what you expect from me during the equinox," she said. "And what mistakes have your other apprentices made that I would be expected to know better than to repeat?" It was phrased as the question of a student, but there was purpose beneath it. Every answer taught Nitya something about Pom, her practices, and the role she would need to inhabit once they crossed the gate. If the real Pom's students were normally afforded privacy while under her instruction, then ignorance could become part of Nitya's disguise rather than a weakness within it.

She followed Pom toward the Bone Temple without looking back toward the ship carrying the real Nightmother away. Twenty-three hours ago, their problem had been finding a way into Carnifex's world. Now the doorway was waiting for them, and Nitya had been given a place at the side of someone Malsheem already knew. She could not know whether Spasa still remembered Jairdain, nor whether the woman beside her would willingly help rescue Nitya's mother once they crossed into the worldcraft. That uncertainty frightened her more than she cared to admit, but it changed nothing. If Spasa had surrendered herself to the disguise in order to create this opportunity, then Nitya would make certain the sacrifice was not wasted. She would learn her role, walk through the Warlock's Gate as Pomstychtivé's apprentice, and once inside Malsheem, she would remember the one thing her companion no longer could.

They were going there to bring her mother home.

Spasa reached into Pomstychtivé's Little Matters Purse and withdrew the gift the Nightsister Matriarch typically bestows upon her Apprentice.

"For your focus, sweet Nitya," she said, dangling a magickally selected necklace crafted of a fine selection of rare genuine gemstones. "I personally charmed these myself." Unknowingly, Spasa's true soul made the decision of what to offer the young Apprentice next. She took a ring off her finger, the only item left of Spasa herself, and she handed it to Nitya. "This feels remarkably special." She said eying the ring, although having no idea how or when she acquired it. "It aids in Force Concealment. Alot of the Magick we do, requires a strict lack of self-presence. The Coven focuses intently on the magick of the ancient incantations required. My Apprentice presents me the items necessary when called for. I mix the energies, metaphysical, physical, etherial, and intentions all together. Carnifex often is present to lend his power. The equinox is not immediately on the horizon, we are only in the stages of preparing for it now. We…assist the Sith with Blessings. Now is the time for us to access the library data banks, grimoires, to prepare for what is to come, that the holy night will run smoothly, when it is time to engage the ritual."

She handed Nitya her ring, which concealed a small data extractor and drive that the jedi had labored long and expertly on it's creation. An AI program which when connected to the data banks would slip effortlessly into action to help conceal any awareness of a breech and quell any alert or lockout. Spasa had mentioned it previously to Nitya, and discussed its usefulness at length on their flight to Dathomir, so that she would have the knowledge of how to use it, while the stone conceals Nitya's private thoughts, yet does not stand out as being anything other than a personal witch's adornment.

"None of my Apprentices have ever failed me," she said in a kind tone. Pomstychtivé is one who makes lightsiders cringe, but in her training she portrays the persona of one genuinely motherly. All her life, she stood against men's cruelty to women, and she still fights to teach young women all she can, magick over what she shares with men. She even keeps some to herself only, a means to assure her own personal survival…but that's not a fact anyone would know about.

Entering the Bone Temple, silent and unalarming, save for the seldom bones exposed from burial, all Jedi, all gathered to this ritualistic place by the man eating plants native to Dathomir, Spasa went to the wooden trunk which held the articles meant for her Apprentice to don. "This is your's now." It was small and heavily enchanted to hold far more than the physical space within it could truly. "What are we if we cannot alter physics?" she asked not requiring an answer, just exclaiming. Nitya would find alot of useful items inserted herein.

She let her Apprentice go through the things, robes, journals, weaponry, among others, while she pondered what they would do with their remaining time, as the Wanica spirits, those who told Pom secrets in exchange for co-inhabitation of her physical body, slept in the Netherworld, not to be engaged until the time they would all travel to the worldcraft of Malsheem.

"I know what we can do. You will be going through the Warlocks Gate to Malsheem with me. I will teach you the means of traveling through the Nether, so that you are accustomed to it. You will learn how to focus and to quickly travel to your intended destination, and how to conceal your path, that others will not follow you."

She reached into her tiny little purse, her arm magickally disappearing all the way to her shoulder, and pulled out two shimmering multi faceted, three dimensional, geared dials, clasped onto gold chains. "This relates our position in the physical realm, across the single plane of the Nether."

A plan had been formulated to save Jairdain. One that Dreidi was not displeased with. The Clan Mother of Xeraic had been working with Vytal Noctura Vytal Noctura to ensure that the witches of Dathomir would be willing to help in saving Dreidi's mother. She had attempted to sway the Mandalore himself into action but his hands were tied sadly to say. Dreidi heard that Nitya was back on Dathomir and meeting with a witch, so naturally, Dreidi assumed that her sister had found some path or was attempting some move to save their mother. It was important for them both to do this and Dreidi gabbed her weapons and supplies. While she used Magick in a lot of ways, potions and incantations were not something Dreidi was masterful in yet. Instead she usually stored them to one side when time allowed her to attempt them.

The armour she wore was mostly decorative with some Force imbuements that increased their protective capabilities. Dreidi wasn't entirely sure on the plan but Dreidi was going to make sure that Jairdain was saved, and held very little doubt that this could be done without violence. Carnifex was not one so easily fooled or tricked. With a poof of green smoke, Dreidi arrived at the meeting point. She could tell there was a presence of ysalamir, something that Dreidi snarled at. Things that were voids in the Force or nullified it felt like abominations to nature in her mind. Dreidi moved best to avoid being in the bubble, or at least avoid being in the bubble longer than she had to be.

Walking towards her sister and the presence of a woman that Dreidi did not recognise. "What are we waiting for? Mother has been trapped far too long in there. Who knows what cruelty she has had to face." Dreidi growled, this whole problem had been something that was too slow and far too dangerous in Dreidi's mind. She hated to keep their mother waiting any longer. Looking to the other woman that Dreidi did not know, "Dreidi Xeraic, younger sister to Nitya and a Clan Mother here on Dathomir." Introducing herself, she had assumed that giving her connection to Nitya would be enough information on why she was here.

Taking Nitya's hand, she placed a vial with green ichor inside on a small chain. "Wear this, shall allow you to bypass energy shields and follow my teleportation jumps." Dreidi informed Nitya with a smile, "no one else is getting left behind." A false reassurance since Dreidi feared that there would have to be some price to paid in the liberation of her mother. Dreidi just wondered if the sacrifice of her own imprisonment would be sufficient for the Sith Lord.

Nitya had been turning the ring over between her fingers when the burst of green smoke announced Dreidi's arrival, studying the small piece of jewelry with considerably more attention than its appearance warranted. She remembered what Spasa had told her aboard the ship, what had been hidden within it, and precisely what she would need to do once they gained access to Malsheem's databanks. The necklace Pom had given her rested nearby with the other things she would need to assume the appearance of an apprentice, but the ring was different. It was one of the last pieces of Spasa herself still present in the woman standing before them, even if Pom no longer understood why it had felt special enough to give away. Nitya slipped it carefully onto her finger, feeling the concealment woven through it settle around her before Dreidi's voice cut sharply through the Bone Temple.

Her eyes lifted immediately toward her sister, and the urgency written across Dreidi was impossible to miss. Nitya understood it. She felt it too, even if hers rarely manifested with the same heat. Their mother had been gone for months, carrying a child while imprisoned by one of the most dangerous Sith in the galaxy, and there were nights when Nitya had lain awake wondering what was happening to her while they searched and planned. Yet the very intensity that made Dreidi want to move now was exactly what could destroy the opportunity they had finally been given. Nitya rose and crossed the short distance between them before her sister could carry that anger any further into the room. "Dreidi," she said quietly, placing a hand against her arm. "I know. I want her out of there every bit as much as you do, but we cannot charge into Malsheem. Not this time."

She accepted the small vial when Dreidi pressed it into her hand, looking briefly at the green ichor before fastening the chain securely around herself. The promise that no one would be left behind brought a faint softness to her expression, although Nitya knew better than to repeat it. None of them could promise that. Not where they were going. Instead, her fingers closed briefly around Dreidi's hand before releasing it. "Thank you. And I intend to hold you to that as far as either of us can manage it." Her gaze lingered on her younger sister for another moment, calm where Dreidi burned, trying to temper that urgency without diminishing it. "But first, you need to understand what Spasa has done, because that is not quite Spasa standing beside us anymore."

Nitya glanced toward the woman who had become Pomstychtivé, deliberately using neither name aloud for the moment. "The real Pom has been subdued and removed from Dathomir. Spasa used her to learn everything she could about Malsheem, Carnifex, Pom's habits, relationships, access, and how she conducts herself there. Then she took a potion that did considerably more than disguise her." There was a faint tension around Nitya's eyes as she looked toward Pom again. Watching that transformation remained one of the more disturbing things she had witnessed. "Her appearance, mannerisms, emotions, and Force presence have been changed to match Pom. Completely enough that she no longer appears to remember that she is Spasa. As far as the woman standing there is concerned, she is Pomstychtivé."

That was the part Nitya needed Dreidi to understand most. She stepped slightly closer and lowered her voice. "Do not try to remind her who she really is. Do not call her Spasa once we begin. Whatever part of her knows the truth has been buried beneath the transformation, and we need it to stay that way until we are safely back. Carnifex knows his wife. The people of Malsheem know her. If they see Pom return through the Warlock's Gate behaving exactly as Pom should, then we have something we would never gain by attacking the place directly." Nitya's eyes met Dreidi's steadily. "Access."

She lifted the hand bearing the ring, letting Dreidi see it without drawing unnecessary attention to what it contained. "I am going in as Pom's newly appointed apprentice. Apparently, she takes students for individual instruction often enough that my presence will not immediately seem suspicious, and those lessons give her the privacy we can use. This ring contains a data extractor and an AI designed to quietly enter their systems, conceal the breach, and retrieve what we need. The objective is not Carnifex. It is not fighting the Sith inside Malsheem. It is finding where Mother is being held." Nitya paused there, knowing her sister well enough to understand how important the distinction would be. "If we can find her and get her out without ever drawing a weapon, then that is what we do."

Her attention shifted toward Dreidi's armor and weapons before returning to her face. "Which means you cannot arrive looking as though you have come to wage war on Carnifex." There was no reproach in the observation, and the faintest warmth entered Nitya's expression despite the seriousness of everything around them. "I know that is probably disappointing." Her thumb brushed absently over the ring Spasa had given her. "We have time before the Warlock's Gate opens. Pom has clothing and equipment here for an apprentice, and we need to decide who you are supposed to be before we cross. Someone who belongs around her, someone whose presence will not make every guard on Malsheem wonder why an armed Clan Mother of Dathomir has suddenly appeared beside Carnifex's wife."

Only then did Nitya allow herself to look fully at Dreidi again, and beneath all her composure was the same fear and determination her sister carried, merely expressed in another language. She reached for Dreidi's hand once more and squeezed it gently. "I know waiting feels unbearable. I know every part of you wants to go directly to Mother and tear apart anything standing between you and her. Part of me wants that too." Her voice softened. "But for once, we have a way inside that does not begin with Carnifex knowing we are coming. We cannot throw that away because we are frightened about what another day might cost her."

Her gaze dropped briefly to the vial Dreidi had given her before rising again, and a small, grateful smile finally appeared. "Besides, you arrived at a useful moment. Pom was about to teach me how to travel through the Nether, control where I emerge, and conceal the path behind me so that no one can follow." She touched the little vial hanging from its chain. "Between what she intends to teach me and what you have just given me, we may have more than one way of getting Mother out once we find her." Nitya's fingers remained around Dreidi's for another heartbeat before easing away. "So stay with me, little sister. Learn the plan first. Then we go together, and we bring Mom home."

Spasa was paging through the Grimoire when Dreidi arrived. Good thing the Priestess was focused on the pages she would require Nitya to read, and did not perceive she had been addressed, or their time to recover her transformation could have been challenging. Pom, on the other hand would not have reacted kindly to another waltzing into her Temple of worship to her husband in a manner lacking reverence.

Her connection to Carnifex cuts across space. She found him to be currently asleep, luckily. The weight of his cosmic link engulfed her. His passions weighted upon her mind like a frenzy requiring constant soothing. Spasa had allowed her individuality to to melt away. Her eye color faded to black coals. Her perpetual youth of seventeen, aged her into her thirties, enforced and maintained by magicks ordained by Carnifex, himself, for avowing worship.

Instinctively and subconsciously, her mind fabricated a backstory that the two young women are her new students and she intently believes it to be reality. She jumped right right into the role of teacher. She still has a little bit of her willful transformation potion left in a vial. She handed it to Nitya. "You can put that away in the cubby." Or better yet, and unbeknownst to Spasa, Nitya and Dreidi can use it to conceal their identity, as their reputations might precede them.

She welcomed Dreidi. "You are just in time," she said, "We are about to begin a crash course in Nether Travel. Help yourself to the apprentice robes and we shall begin straight away." She held onto the Grimoire and pointed the way, awaiting the moment the two will return to her, in order to begin.

Dreidi locked eyes with Nitya, it was not anger that carried her. That was reserved for others, she held impatience, frustration, but there was not anger. She had dealt with hindrances in rescuing her mother and a lack of drive from those that she figured would be making it a top priority in saving her mother from what they had been telling her repeatedly. However, it was this method that Dreidi had no idea about from a person that Dreidi did not know nor did she recognise. So, she carried some reservation on this approach, hence the armour and weapons. It was feeling all too convenient and simplistic in a way to rescue their mother.

But that didn't mean she was going to refuse to take the chance.

The plan seemed dangerous, if one had sunk that deep into a transformation, what prevented the bond to Carnifex from revealing the situation. From fully embracing the identity and causing everything to collapse with no chance of escape. The ritual seemed highly dangerous to both Dreidi and Nitya, but Dreidi kept silent. This was why she held her on contingencies. Dreidi held connections, knowledge on enemies to Carnifex that she could bargain with if this plan faltered. The witch was not going to let Nitya suffer and she was going to ensure that her mother escaped. "That is fine by me, I have not seen the difference so I will just assume this is Pom." Dreidi mentioned to Nitya, she had not been present for the before so wouldn't even know the differences.

"I am not dressed like this to wage war on Carnifex, sister. I wear this to keep you and mother safe. There are more dangers that Carnifex on board that ship and I am dressed as a warrior witch of Dathomir would dress as. Especially one that is a Clan Mother." Her eyes flickered from Nitya to the robes that she was told she needed to wear. "I wear them over this, we don't know the dangers that might arise during the mission. Plans fail or go askew. We need to be prepared for all possibilities." Removing her energy bow, she set it to one side. That weapon was something that she could not hide and she was not a master archer to demand the need for it. It was something Dreidi had never been without since her first trip to Dathomir, many years ago.

Grabbing her ichor sword, Dreidi whispered words in Dathomiri and the blade disappeared into a pocket dimension that she could only access. The robes were draped over her and her Lightsaber hilt discreetly hidden on her person.

"Let us begin then." Dreidi stated, teleportation with Magick had been the second power that Dreidi had mastered when she began her training in Dathomiri Magick. So, she was curious on this Nether Travel ability.

Nitya met Dreidi's gaze and gave a small nod. She understood the distinction her sister was making now. The armor was not an announcement that Dreidi intended to wage war through the halls of Malsheem. It was part of who she was, and as Clan Mother, she understood the expectations surrounding a Dathomiri warrior far better than Nitya did. "That's fair," she conceded, a faint smile touching her lips. "You know this part of our culture, and I do not yet." She watched Dreidi set aside the energy bow and send the ichor sword into whatever hidden space Magick provided for it, but otherwise left her sister to decide what she needed. They were both walking into something neither could completely predict, and Nitya certainly wasn't going to begrudge Dreidi the precautions that made sense to her.

Her attention shifted back toward Pom when the remaining transformation potion was placed into her hand. "Of course," Nitya answered, although she hesitated before putting it away. Her fingers curled carefully around the little vial as she considered what remained inside. Spasa had explained enough before the transformation for Nitya to understand what the potion could accomplish, and leaving the last of it behind when they were about to enter Malsheem seemed a waste of a potentially useful advantage. Instead of placing it in the cubby, she quietly tucked the vial away among her belongings. Perhaps they would never need it. She hoped they wouldn't, but Malsheem seemed a particularly poor place to discard an option before knowing what waited for them.

Looking at Pom again was strange.

Nitya remembered the woman who had stood before her before she drank the potion. She remembered Spasa explaining what would happen and, more importantly, warning them about what she might become once the transformation was complete. Knowing what had happened did little to reconcile that memory with the woman now paging through the Grimoire. There was no visible effort behind Pom's acceptance of Dreidi. She had not needed to invent an explanation consciously or pause to determine how she ought to react. Somewhere within the identity she now inhabited, the presence of another student had simply become part of reality.

The transformation had not merely changed what Spasa looked like. It had given Pom memories where none had existed and certainty where there should have been questions. She did not know whether she found that impressive or frightening. Probably both.

She followed Pom's gesture toward the apprentice clothing and selected a set of robes for herself. They were unlike what Nitya ordinarily chose to wear, but that was rather the point. She dressed without complaint, secured Dreidi's vial of green ichor beneath the layers, and clipped her lightsaber to her belt before making a few minor adjustments for comfort. The ring remained on her finger, outwardly little more than another piece of adornment despite everything concealed within it.

When she returned, Dreidi was already dressed for the lesson, and Nitya moved to stand near her sister before turning her attention toward Pom and the Grimoire in her hands. Of everything they had discussed during the preparations, Nether travel was one of the things Nitya understood least. She had knowledge of the Netherworld and enough experience with the Force to appreciate what they were attempting, but deliberately navigating it was something else entirely. Dreidi had considerably more experience with Magick and teleportation, while their mother seemed capable of crossing such boundaries with an ease Nitya had never possessed. Perhaps she was about to discover why.

"I'm ready," Nitya said simply.

There was no mention of Spasa. No acknowledgment of the woman Pom had been before the potion changed her. Nitya had already seen enough to understand the warning she had been given. Calling attention to another identity served no purpose when Pom genuinely believed herself to be exactly who she appeared to be. For the duration of this mission, Nitya would treat her accordingly.

Her glowing eyes settled briefly upon the Grimoire before returning to Pom. "I've never learned to travel through the Nether deliberately," she admitted. There was no reason to pretend otherwise when Pom believed she was teaching new apprentices. "I've encountered it and studied aspects of it, but choosing where I enter, where I emerge, and concealing the path behind me are different things."

She glanced toward Dreidi with a small smile. "I suspect my little sister has a considerable advantage over me here."

There was no resentment in the observation. If anything, Nitya found it reassuring. Dreidi understood Magick in ways she did not, Pom possessed knowledge neither sister currently had, and Nitya was perfectly content to be the least experienced person in the lesson. She had not come here to demonstrate what she already knew.

She had come to learn what they would need to reach their mother and return with her.

Nitya turned her attention back to Pom and waited for the lesson to begin.

As much as Jax didn't want to come mainly because his family hated his guts at this moment, he didn't have much of a choice. Whatever quarrel they had in the past, Jairdain Ismet-Thio Jairdain Ismet-Thio was still under the clutches of his Dad and it was only a matter of time before she gives birth. What Carnifex intended to do with Jax and Jair's son was unclear but given his Dad's attempts to manipulate him towards side over the years he can take a wild guess. Spasa and Jax spent the time formulating a rescue plan which currently she was teaching the rest of the family.

The Jedi Master silently approached the area feeling a mix of shame and determination. The whole family was coming together to rescue Jair and Jax felt like he was the black sheep of the family. It wasn't like he didn't deserve it, Dreidi wanted to kill him and Nyita wanted nothing to do with him. The only person who dragged Jax here was Spasa. He knew what was going to happen and what he was going to do, the question was that will the whole family be able to set aside their...... strong feelings for Jax. The Jedi Master suspected they will but if they feel any shred of doubt, Carnifex will exploit it.

PomStychTivé had been friends with Jairdain long before she had even gotten together with Jax. After Pom's soul was torn in two, Pom who was coveted by Darkness, made Jax her enemy, but never Jairdain because of her respect for sisterhood. Jairdain and Jax's devotion to help Spasa, Pomstychtivé's redeemed persona, learn the ways of the Force and survive Pom's obsession to eradicate her, has given her cause to call the two family. Based on their age difference, she attributes the two as her parental guardians.

So the children of Jairdain had their identities hidden under their amulets and their apprentice robes. Nothing of Spasa would ring through here after, unless perhaps someone absolutely fecks up. If perhaps a Jedi were to waltz into her Temple right now, Pom would truly be found willing to kick his tuchus. That is unless he shielded himself behind the mysterious Ysalamanders that scampered away from the unsightliness of this Nightsister temple.

Spasa turned to face her two new students, her grimoire showed a drawing of how the multi dimensional universe, is mapped out and a destination targeted on the flat plane of the Netherworld.

"Picture our universe as a box…a shadow box, the easy part. Here we are, one little tiny point on the entire grid." She showed the accompanying hand drawn picture sketched by Pom's own fingers. "Now the Nether is a flat plane, and always you stand at its center. It doesn't matter where you are on the galactic grid to begin your journey. You stand at the axis, and you pivot the plane in any necessary direction to intercept with the location you want to reach within the galaxy."

The onyx amulet she wore screeched, and Spasa sang the words in the Grimoire. "Read here, remember these ancient words in Paecean. Say them along with me." Ichor flowed from her fingertips towards the altar, the air became electrified all around them, until I bright light manifested, and absolute darkness opened up before their eyes.

Stepping inside, Spasa held out her hand to Dreidi and Nitya. She showed her two apprentices how to focus their thoughts to pivot the flat plane of the Netherworld upon which they stood, to intersect with the far distant core of the galaxy. "You concentrate on your objective, fixate your gaze on it, and lean into it. Its a gut feeling, same as you would feel led to locate someone under the blood trail. You travel to anybody, so long as you know where to first aim."

She did not lead them anywhere as of yet, just into the Nether for the time being, and pointed their trajectory towards the core systems. "You would next think yourself there. You can always tweak your path as you get closer."
