The Ash Grove

A request had been given to Ra to acquire a specific animal from Kesh. After doing some research on the creature, she knew she would be unable to capture one on her own. With the assistance of one other person along with the droids she could bring, there shouldn't be too much trouble to apprehend one of the Uvak's here.

The planet of choice was Kesh and Ra couldn't help but shake her head slightly when she learned of this. A friend was a ruler here and had invited her visit. This time it was business and not pleasure that brought her here so she did not inform her of the visit.

Double checking to make sure there would be a place to hold the dragon once it was subdued, she left the ship and now waited for her hunting partner.

She was at a bit of dilemma though. In her role as lead of the merchant fleet, her ability to use the Force was kept secret. Here, she had the feeling it would be needed. In a way maybe it was lucky the person sent to be her partner was not a person that had met her before.

Coming prepared though, she had her short saber hilts hidden up her sleeves. A knife hidden each boots and a blaster on one of her hips. In an attempt to keep it secret about her sensitivity, she did not wear her double bladed saber on her other hip. Her hair was pulled back into a braid to keep it out of her eyes.

It had been a few weeks since Drauchir had gone on his last good hunt. Back then, he had been on his home world. Blissfully living in ignorance of the greater struggles of the galaxy. But that had all changed. And now, he was working to find where his place was in all of this. Which, for the time being, seemed to still be working as a hunter. But this time, for something known as the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Something he still wasn't sure he entirely understood. But he suspected such understanding would come in time. At the very least, they didn't want to cut of his head. So that would have to suffice.

As Drauchir mused such thoughts, he was making his way through the forest to the meet up point. As was usual, he was clad in his hunting attire, which was a mishmash of leather, armourweave, chain mail, and plate mail. Across his back, hung his two RuneBlades, while his bowcaster hung from his belt.

He pressed his way through a pair of ferns then. Coming out into the clearing where he was to meet with a woman by the name of Ra, whom would be helping him capture this Uvak and transporting it back to CIS space. A task that still mystified him. Something about travelling through the stars in a giant metal ship seemed off to him. Almost sacrilegious, considering the stars were where the gods lived.

He settled his gaze upon the red haired woman then. Studying her as she stood there. She certainly looked beautiful, if nothing else. Though he suspected there was much more than met the eye with her. He moved across the clearing then, nodding his head in greeting to her. "You must be Ra, the woman I'm supposed to meet... Drauchir at your service."

She had grown up on a planet similar to that of Kesh, but was still more familiar with the great ecumenopolis planets. She had spent some time on Coruscant and Denon and grown accustomed to that type of environment. To be out in actual nature now was almost new to her.

Ra turned as Drauchir came out from forest to meet with her. He gave her a nod and stated the shortened version of her name and introduced himself. Returning the nod, she held her hand out to shake if he wanted to.

"Ra'a'mah Numare, but Ra will be fine. Most people call me that so it works. How familiar are you with these Uvak?"

Having only done a little reseach, she wondered if he had any additional information to share. Looking him from head to toe, she could tell he would be an asset in this expedition. He walked with the confidence of a man used to fighting. She was as well, but it had been a while since she had been in that sort of a dance of blades.

"Nice to meet you, Drauchir."

@Drauchir

Drauchir shook Ra's hand as she offered it forward, his gloved hand somewhat dwarfing hers. As he left his hand fall back to his side, his thoughts turned briefly to the question posed to him. If he was honest, he really knew nothing about the Uvak. Much of the information the CIS had on the creatures was apparently stored on something known as a holoterminal. Something he still had a hard time wrapping his head around the concept of.

Thankfully, however, there had been some physical books with information and illustrations. Giving him something of an idea of what the Uvak looked like and a little bit of information on them. Certainly more than enough to begin hunting them. "I wouldn't say I'm an expert... But I certainly know what they look like and have an idea of how to track them. What about yourself? Ever seen an Uvak before?"

She had no knowledge of his growing up or that he didn't know how to properly use modern technology. In a way they were alike as she preferred to look things up what some would call, the old fashioned way. Of course, she had full access to the holonet and did use that more often. If he might ever visit her home on Vjun, he would likely be totally at home in her library. That may or may not happen, time would tell on if she could trust Drauchir enough to invite him.

He admitted he wasn't an expert on them and she nodded. With a half smile and a touch of humor in her voice, she say the first thing that came to mind.

"I guess this is going to be a learn experience for the both of us. No, I only looked up and read a quick story on them. Nothing major."
