mage Source: Amulet by cgartMan50N
Intent: To Create an item that can temporary negate or corrupt other force imbued items
Development Thread: To Twist and corrupt
Manufacturer: Darth Abyss
Model: N/A
Affiliation: Darth Abyss
Modularity: No
Production: Unique
Material: Howlith, small purple lightsaber crystal, blood (Alchemized into it)

Strengths:

-Negate force imbument: If power is put into the amulet, the runes form this energy in a corrupting field of dark side energy, designed to interact with other objects instead of living beings. Depending on how strong the object is compared to the user of the amulet it is possible to temporary block the force from flowing through it, negating any positive effects for that timeframe.
-Corrupt Light side force imbument: If a object is of lesser power, then it is possible to twist the effect with the amulet. Exactly like negating the force this is archived by channeling dark side enegry into the amulet, using the runes carved into it to change the energy flowing throug the chosen item. The effects of this can be fairly random, ranging from completly harmless to leathal, depending on the artifact that is twisted. OOC this means that the other write can decided what its effect will be in that scenario, if it has one at all
-Permanent Corruption: If the amulet is used for a prolonged time frame on a object (meaning several days) than it can permanantly twist a light side object into a dark side artifact.

Weaknesses:
-Runs on focus: The amulet only has an effect as long the user puts a high amount of focus into using it, and it can only be used on one object at the time. Should focus be broken or move away from the target for even a moment, than the effect of the amulet will fade instantly. While the user still can walk slowly, every other action beyond that is more than likely to break the focus.

-Incantation: To activate the effect of the amulet the user has to constantly repeat the words "Lyteti nuyak kanasaza, mazo irus darytis jen'. Kots avitsu tave itsu iv sis visuom, fasona akmuo ir macij nuyak xarnait." which means "Feel my wrath, so light becomes dark. Break apart the chains of this world, make stone and metal my servant." in the old sith language. With out these words the amulet is useless.
-Tricky to use: To work right, the user has to be aware of the object he uses it on, and what it does. Only when the user can pinpoint the target object in his head, and where it is the effect can be used. Also close proximity is requiered, so the user has to be at least 8 meters or closer to the target.

-Dark side: The amulet can only be used by those gifted with the dark side of the force

Description: The basis for the amulet is an old jedi amulet, aquired from the black market by Darth Abyss. It has served both as bearer of its respective power and as experiment to see if the desired effect could be archived by the use of old sith runes. The choice of runes was a complex as the infusion of the power into the amulet. As sith runes in their very nature are a rather abstract concept, it is important that the intent behind their creation is as deslibarte as the runes itself. The rough outlines for the effects comes from the follwoing runes: The Juul'dar Rune, a rune affilated with powers that ex-or distract something, that is used to remove the light side energy around a object. Its the first rune that is used in the spell, as for any following effect the lack of light is requiered. The second rune is the The Ziggra'nar Rune, which is used to temporarily alter the phyiscal form of the target object on a modecular level so the dark side can flow through it, exactly as most force imbument works. The third rune is the so called The Swatak'Hatrata Rune, which blocks out any outside infulence on the object as long the rune is active. It is rather weak and normally the first part of the spell to break should a object be to strong to be negated or corruptted, as the light will simpkly retake control.

The rune carvings a finsihed by three other runes: The Korribunious Rune, The Pharnzerv Rune to strenght and balance out the effects so the enegrgy wont break apart the amulet, and the The Vala' noria Rune that is actiavted at the end of the spell, focusing the enegry on the chosen target.

Runes are rather volatile in their nature, and if carved in stone most of the will fade or break after one time use. To counter this effect it is required to babtizte the runes in blood while the dark side is channeled into it. That technique has been used to make the carvings permamnt in case of this amulet.

Due to the power of the dark side infused in the stone, the amulet can be sensed by all those gifted with a ability to interact with the force.

Sorry for taking so long to get to this, [member="Darth Abyss"].

What is this? I can't find any mention of this on Chaos or otherwise.

-Runs on focus
Does the description for this weakness mean you're stationary and open to attack?

As it is an amulet with some form of power, would it be capable of being sensed in the Force? Most artifacts / force tools are capable of being sensed to some degree.

Made some edits according to you notes. It can now be sensed in the force, the focus weakness is specified as being able to slowly walk but nothing beyond that, and I realized that its called Howlith (some with gemstone I found on the web.) I hope its all alright now.

How close does this need to be to the object in question?

How feasible is it to use this in a combat setting?

I wrote that the range of the amulet is a max of 8 meters under weaknesses.

Well in combat it can be used, but more a surprise/gimmick than as an actual weapon. If the opponent is stunned or not aware of the attack it can be used. In any other circumstances it would theoretically be usable, but only if the user can tell and repeat the (fairly long) incantation in the given time.
