The Amity was the personal starship of Jedi Knight Amos Orno in the years following the fall of the Galactic Alliance. An Ugly, crafted from junked parts and a combination of starship hulls, the vessel would undergo several refits over the years to better suit the traveling Knight. Heavily armed, nimble, and fast the Amity started life as an old modified light freighter of Mandalorian design. Cheap and easy to modify, it aided the young Jedi to dodge Sith and First Order patrols during the early days immediately following the fall of the Galactic Alliance and with its cargo bay was able to help small settlements who came under fire from those tyrannical groups. It only required a single pilot to fly and operate its main weapons and ordinance launchers but benefitted from a small crew. After the original vessel's destruction somewhere in the Outer Rim, however, Amos was able to bargain with some Spacer Jawas, purchasing parts from aboard their Starcrawlers to replace or repair parts of the original Amity. The result was a mash-up of a junked Outer Rim Y-Wing assault craft and his old Mandalorian light freighter.
While the junked Mandalorian freighter had been mostly a part of the original Amity, the Y-Wing cockpit and fuselage offered a versatility previously unavailable to him. The more heavily armed assault shuttle added torpedo and missile bays, expanded the Amity's mission profile to include lightning-fast bombing runs and even stronger dogfighting capabilities. Sturdy shields and lots of empty space in its flight profile made the Amity difficult to take down as well, though ion weapons could easily disable it like most other vessels. Originally meant to be at least partially a civilian craft, the Amity often came up on sensors as a gunship, making it difficult to sneak around military blockades. However, its origin as an Ugly also meant that the vessel was unidentifiable in most databases and difficult to track through automated means. The interior of the Amity was far more standard than its exterior with the more spacious cockpit also granting a larger passenger capacity than its original design intended.
The cabin included a small galley, two passenger seats, and two bunks and could comfortably fit ten people when including standing room. Directly behind the cockpit were four crew cabins with one of them having been turned into a makeshift medical clinic stocked with various medicines and medical supplies. Past the cabins was a small lounge area that included a small kitchen module, a refresher, restroom, and holotable. The vessel's navigation computer was eccentric with a penchant for violence when communicating with other droids, often using old Mandalorian phrases and idioms that made little sense to its droid counterparts. A small workbench was in the corner of the lounge, offering Amos a place to fiddle with blasters and his lightsaber.
Reliable, unique, and fully paid off the Amity served admirably as Amos' second home and an adequate mobile base of operations for him and whoever tagged along on wild adventures through space.
