Kaili Talith
Forgotten, not gone.
[member="Allyson Locke"]
A secret? Kaili stepped into her ship and wasted no time getting to work at the man’s challenge. She took a seat by the main computer housed at the very core of the Odessa, her sanctuary away from home. Fingers and eyes flicked across the board to active switches and trackers in a hurry. Buttons were pressed in rhythm to the man’s speech, paused only by the mention that Allyson had amnesia. It made Kaili freeze in her seat and for a second Kaili had to stop herself and consider what she was doing. No. She had to stay the course. This might have been a cruel prank, it might have not, but the outcome varied very little from the way that the man on the other end kept on talking. Kaili listened with intent as she waltzed around from computer to computer trying to track the signal from which he was calling her. One after another they flared to life and then to action not too soon after. Was Kaili angry? Understatement. If this man thought he could toy with her and get away with it, leaving the fate of her girlfriend in the hands of incapable hands he was wrong on so many levels it’d hurt him.
There was mention of a fiancée and Kaili froze up. Okay, so he wasn’t lying and Allyson was alive, but the plan didn’t change. Kaili kept the line open for as long as she needed it to be. The signal had to be traced and of that there were no doubts. This wasn’t a dance that he would lead, Kaili wasn’t a helpless wench left at the ‘merciful’ whims of the SIS. He made the conditions of her release known and yet he had the guts to ask if Kaili had questions. She had more than just the one, but chances that she would get an answer to any of them were slim. Her head shook as the navcomputer beeped exactly once in confirmation of success. A wicked grin spread on Kaili’s lips before a deep chuckle emanated from her throat as air burst nose. She had already had a bad day, she didn’t mind making it worse at this point.
“Do you know who I am?” She goaded him, her voice went even lower as if to almost threaten him. “Do you know what I can do?”
“Do you think a call is going to keep me away, Mister Trohn?”
“Do you think any of this matters?”
“Send me the details and I’ll keep my doors open for when Allyson is released. I expect you to do the same.”
Kaili hung up before he could reply, offering him the same chances he had granted her as he taunted her with Allyson’s survival. The blonde’s eyes set themselves on the co-ordinates that poked ut from the holographic map at the center of her sanctuary. The call had been traced and led her to a station embedded deep within Alliance territory. It had to be where Allyson was being kept, Kaili could feel it in the force. In her heart. A soft finger circled around the lock on button below the hologram’s base. A blue sheen covered her skin for a chilling effect. He had his chance to tell her where they had been, but he had chosen to deny her that. This was his fault and Kaili wouldn’t let herself be told otherwise. She gave the button a gentle push. Three robotic beeps called out into the room as Kaili forced her ship in a new direction. Henry read it, accepted it, didn’t question it. The ship began to take of and Kaili in return went to get herself ready. This would take something out of her that she didn’t want to do, but she was already wearing Allyson’s jacket, how much worse could it get?
Determined footsteps carried her towards the cargo hold and the lockers and brought her to a halt by the locker doors. Kaili reached for her boots. One foot swept out, second foot as well. Her hands reached to unbutton her pants. One leg out, and then the second leg out before they were thrown to the side. The blonde grabbed the bloodstripes and held them before her in a moment of contemplation. This wasn’t right and most certainly wouldn’t feel right, but it was the easiest way to get herself into that facility without raising too much of a fuss or suspicion at first. Deep breath.
One leg into Allyson’s pants, second leg in and then the same with Kaili’s boots.
There was just one thing missing. Kaili walked over to the bedroom and looked for one of Allyson’s shirts, a white one to be specific. The jacket was gently discarded on the bed, a white shirt equipped, and then it was put back on again. With renewed confidence Kaili stepped into the cockpit again. Not as herself, but as Allyson Locke. Or Lucky, for ‘short.’
“I can see why she-” Kaili cleared her throat. “I can see why she wore this.”
Kaili was part-Lorrdian in the end. She had been raised by one, taught how to sneak like the best of them and how to mimic almost anyone. There would be no small amount of guides she could use to help her mimic Allyson, the girl she loved and always had.
“Bait.” Allyson Talith called out. “We’re going to find Allyson.”
“And then we’re going to bring her home.”
