Name: Thall Chro, Primeval Warlord of Belkadan (Unofficial Title), The Poacher King (Chosen Title)
Loyalties: The Primeval (to a certain extent), Money, and the Hunt.
Role: An NPC Warlord meant to be disposed of by a PC interested in becoming the Warlord of the world that the NPC Warlord currently holds.
Development Threads: Possibly mentioned in this thread: http://starwarsrp.net/topic/61928-all-thats-far-from-us-primeval-dominion-of-belkadan/, will be used in another.
Age: 82
Species: Morellian
Force Sensitivity: No
Appearance: Dark haired, and hazel eyed, Thall stood at an approximate height of 1.7 meters with a well muscled body, perfect for wrestling with the beasts he hunted frequently. Also due to the frequent hunts with animals, numerous scars define his torso, arms and other limbs, as for literally decades the man has been hunting beasts. Because of these often grisly wounds, he has taken a habit to tattooing the creature that gave it to him over his scars, to always remember them. Unfortunately though, some overlap is present, so to solve this he has made depictions of the two beasts that gave him the wounds as fighting one another. Seeing these tattoos under his armor though would be extremely rare, and probably exclusive to the eyes of woman, to which he courts many but settles for none. The 'armor' he wears is often organic, in that it was made from the animals he has poached, and thus offers not a great amount of protection... except for that fact that some of the hides he has hunted are resistant to blaster fire, or since hunting on Belkadan, null to the force given their abominable vongspawn nature. In fact, the entirety of his right arm is a biot he black-mailed a vong to grow for him after a nexu bit his original arm off (he still managed to kill it alone). It holds no real unique effects, other than being a vong-replacement and being absent from the force, although it does glow in the dark when he needs it to (like to attract prey).
Personality: Thall is a boisterous, violent, and hardy individual, always seeking the thrill of hunting monstrous beasts, and always seeking their pelts for money or to wear himself as a trophy. He isn't one, true to his peoples nature, to use extremely advanced technology, as to him they are not as dependable or reliable as something simple like a knife, or a good slugthrower. Over the years, this has become a strange mistrust in technology, and a favorance for more biological solutions (like his arm problem). Thall is definitely one to brag, giving off the air of someone superiorly arrogant, but given his accomplishments as a hunter, some say he probably has the right to brag, and he believes it. Thall doesn't really care who he works for (like the Primeval), so long as he's getting paid to do the thing he loves: hunting. If anyone should be killing his men however, he will be quite cross with you, but it doesn't mean he'll want you dead, if a deal can be made instead.
Weapon of Choice: A long knife, a Slugthrower rifle, or a twin set of .48-caliber Enforcer Pistols
Wealth: Thall is actually very wealthy, despite his seeming primitive nature. Having stockpiling, curing, and selling various exotic leathers and furs across the galaxy, he has amassed quite a large amount of coin. Now that he's being paid by the Primeval to keep the vongspawn at bay, instead of the Redcrested Cougars he was hunting originally, his wealth is only growing.
Combat Function: After more than 60 years of hunting animals, Thall has become very accustomed to a very specific manner of fighting. He sets up traps, or ambushes, or sniping you from afar, he has a wide variety of tools and resources to hunt his enemies as well as animals. He is extremely proficient in tracking, and if ever taken by surprise he is more than enough man to beat back enemies or animals into submission with his knives, or slugthrowers.

Strengths:
  • Master Hunter: All the skills he uses to hunt and kill big game, he will use to kill you with maximum proficiency. His mind is highly tactical in this respect.
  • A Man's, Man: Don't try to 1v1 this guy, he will be a significant challenge. He will use every muscle and tool at his disposal to skin you alive and turn you into a pelt. His mind is more adrenaline and macho-man brawn in this respect.
  • Wears Exotic Pelts: Although he doesn't wear traditional armor, the pelts of the things he has killed are often extremely strong, giving him a significant resistance to blaster fire, and many parts of it are force dead as of late given his stay and current occupation on Belkadan, which means he has a strong to moderate resistance to direct use of the force. His mind however, is still vulnerable.
Weaknesses:
  • Dislikes Technology: Thall often limits himself to what he can use, given his mistrust in anything more advanced than the highly pragmatic melee weapons or slugthrowers.
  • Prefers Dangerous Encounters: Despite his more strategic hunting mind, he often wants to get personal with his targets, thus often purposely sets up traps to only work half the time, so he has the chance to stab them himself. The same goes for people he happens to be hunting, he'll want to stab you himself, which could be a critical strategic mistake.
  • Susceptible to Persuasion: Pretty self-explanatory. Although his mind is rather strong, it has a few fault lines that could be exploited by someone intelligent enough, or well-versed in the force, to persuade him with money, the promise of thrills, or exploit his troubled past with his lost sister.
Skills: Master Tracker, Master Trap-setter, Expert Ambush leader, Expert Marksmen, Expert Knife wielder, Expert Leather and Fur Curer
Notable Possessions: Various Knifes, Various Slugthrowers such as a twin set of .48-caliber Enforcer Pistols, and a rifle, Various pelts, furs, and other cured wearable items like a Morellian Oilcoat.
Other Notes:
Big Brother

The beginning of Thall's life, is as often the case, completely unimportant. He was born, a few years later his sister was born, and his identity became Big Brother. That's who he was, it was simply what he was meant to be. Eventually however, his parents, who ever they were, disappeared from their lives, leaving only Thall and his sister Miriam to fend for themselves on some force forsaken planet in the middle of Wild Space. It's entirely likely that the Morellians were killed, or were otherwise forced to move elsewhere without the dead weight of children on their backs. Whatever the case may be, they left a 16 year old in charge of an 8 year old in the middle of a ruthless planet, with a bunch of primitive peoples.

Little Sister

After four years of living alone, tragedy struck between the two close siblings, who were almost the same person among the community they attempted to live within. One day, the two had been separated, and his younger sister was chased into the woods never to be seen or heard from again. Immediately he went in to search for her, desperately, cutting through branches, and being attacked by animals in the attempt... but never found her. He took out his rage on the local wild life, and after years of dedicating his search to his sister, it became a coping ritual to slaughter the animals. He gained a sick taste of ending animal lives, especially the rare and "endangered ones", as a form of vengeance against the heavens for taking his delicate sister, by taking away the delicate forms of life away from the galaxy. His once pained, and noble search, was perverted into a sick sadistic vengeance that would never end.

The Poacher
One day, years later, when the original intent of the Brother's search for his sister was long forgotten in the heat of blood lust and rage, a merchant discovered the angst filled Thall, then only a young 40, and witnessed first hand the amazing proficiency of his skills along with the many marks of his various hunts. Confounded that Thall had never thought to sell what he killed, the Merchant quickly coerced him into allowing him to buy the pelts of his kills... and began to convince him to kill specific breeds of animals. When Thall asked why the Merchant wanted those specific breeds upon delivering them, the Merchant responded that they were precious, off-limits from ordinary hunters, protected by law. The Merchant told him this, expecting Thall to become outraged that he had been tricked into Poaching, and came prepared with blackmail over his head... but Thall surprised and confounded him once again.

He enjoyed it. He asked for more breeds of that variety. The rare sort of creature that is supposed to be protected, and cherished... just like his Sister. Memories of her returned to him, and his fire for the Hunt had been rekindled to its original glory of vicious unending vengeance. When the Merchant stopped being creative with his desires, Thall quickly used the money he had gained, to escape that pathetic world, and began to traverse Wild Space in search of the rarest and endangered animals, finding other employers with more creative tastes for him to hunt.

It eventually led him to Belkadan, where he, and now his army of Poachers along with him, began to hunt the Redcrested Cougars present on the planet, just as a massive Primeval force threw its weight around the vong shiparyard world, and starting killing his men. As it was clear that his staying here was not welcomed, he struck a deal with the higher ups of Belkadan to let him be on this world, to hunt whatever he wanted, wherever he wanted, whenever he wanted on Belkadan, in exchange for the promise that he would keep the Vongspawn at bay within the Shipyards for the Primeval to use... at a nominal fee of course, he still wanted to make money obviously.

Thus today, he enjoys the hunt, and has been given Primeval Troops as well to assist him in his promise, to ensure that it is kept, and to keep an eye on their "Warlord".

Intent: An NPC Warlord meant to be disposed of by a PC interested in becoming the Warlord of the world that the NPC Warlord currently holds.

Hi, I'm Callum I'll be judging this submission today

Is that not his official Title?

Zambrano the Hutt said:
it has a few fault lines
can you elaborate on what the fault lines in his mind are ?
Is it just money and thrills?

Various Slugthrowers
Can you be more specific which other types of slug thrower does he use?

Also just to make sure you know the Codex is entirely optional so If this npc is in place solely to be killed and diposed he doesn't need a submission, however you are more than welcome to do one.

Make those edits and I think we'll be good

thanks
Callum

Although that's what he is, it isn't what most people would call him. For instance, he has chosen 'The Poacher King' as his title, in the place of Warlord.

Pretty much, though I suppose I can throw in his past with his sister. I added the history after making the rest of the sub, which is why it isn't present there.

I suppose, but I did give an example of what would be in his arsenal. I didn't go into much detail of what a similar submission had in terms of slugthrowers without even that and it was fine. Just think of run of the mill rifles and pistols and such. Nothing complicated or fancy.

And I know that the Codex is optional, I just like having the official feel of a submission, especially since these Primeval planets could be sitting for a long time without a PC to take them, so it helps to establish an easy lore that new players can access when writing their stories.

Elaborated a little on mind faults!
