Ammunition Type:
  • Chaingun: Power Cell or External Energy Source
  • Micro-Grenade Launcher: Micro-Grenades
Ammunition Capacity:
  • Chaingun: Very Large / Extreme (500-rds per Power Cell; when attached to external power generator system, the weapon gains near-infinite capacity, provided the system is sufficiently powerful enough to allow this.)
  • Micro-Grenade Launcher: Average (55 micro-grenades; fragmentation)

  • Chaingun: Long-Range (optimal: 75m; max.: 750m)
  • Micro-Grenade Launcher: Long-Range (max. 200m)
Rate of Fire:
  • Chaingun: Very High
  • Micro-Grenade Launcher: Average

  • Chaingun: Very High
  • Micro-Grenade Launcher: Very High
Recoil:
  • Chaingun: Very High
  • Micro-Grenade Launcher: None
SPECIAL FEATURES:
  • A Two-For: The Tiger is actually two weapons systems in one, combining the awesome firepower of a blaster cannon chaingun with a micro-grenade launcher.
  • Power Up: Can be attached to a power generator system to increase weapon capacity for the chaingun.
  • Versatility: Micro-grenades can be stun, fragmentation, EMP/ion, smoke, or incendiary, as needed.
STRENGTHS:
  • Wall of Blaster Fire: The Tiger’s chaingun throws up a virtual hail of blaster bolts, making short work of enemies, vehicles, and material at its optimum range and capable of laying down a wide range of suppressing fire, making it a potent and devastating addition to any assault.
  • Versatile Portable Artillery: The Tiger’s micro-grenade launcher can use any of a variety of micro-grenades, and with a long-range capability, it can serve as a powerful weapon, able to deal considerable punishment against enemies, equipment, and vehicles. Moreover, the small area of effect and precision accuracy of the recoilless launcher grant users a level of control to make pinpoint attacks against specific targets, yet mitigate collateral damage.
  • Continuing Fire: If attached to a sufficiently powerful external source, the chaingun’s munition capacity can be expanded greatly, for so long as the power source can hold out.
WEAKNESSES:
  • Not Always Spot-On: Due to its recoil and high rate of fire, the chaingun’s accuracy past 75m deteriorates quickly. Accuracy of the weapon is 87% at optimal range, and degrades by 10% every 75m after that. Thus, at its maximum range of 750m, the weapon’s accuracy is severely degraded to virtually nil.
  • Better Be in Shape: The very large, very heavy nature of the Tiger makes it practically useless for smaller beings, and when not carried by users with innately-high strength and size, or who do not have the benefit of strength-enhancing technologies such as powered armor suits, exoskeletons, and the like, fatigue sets in quickly and accuracy and control over the weapon when being fired can be adversely affected.
  • Energy Vampire: The chaingun, while gaining a much-increased capacity beyond its usual power cell allowance of 500 rounds when attached to an external power supply, draws heavily on that power supply and can quickly diminish reserves or fuel. Precautions should be made to ensure the power supply can sustain this draw, and if used by droids or users wearing power armor, if the supply is limited, they will find it diverts power from other systems, capable of rendering them disabled if power use is not carefully regulated.
  • Humanoids Only: The Tiger’s design allows it to be useable by most humanoid species or mechanicals, but by non-humanoids the Tiger is much less ergonomically-designed, making use awkward, if not impossible, and with a much-lowered level of performance.
DESCRIPTION
War is a strange thing. In one, the actions of a single individual or a small group can have tremendous influence on its direction and outcome. What’s more, if that person or persons has the right tools at their disposal, they can exploit and exert this influence in even more profound ways. It was this silly little thought, had by Vis as she was taking a shower one morning, that brought about the creation of the TG-R19.
One weapon, capable of throwing up a virtual wall of blaster fire, allowing a single trooper to be able to answer back to vastly superior numbers with devastating retort. A portable tactical artillery platform, capable of reducing an enemy’s advantage significantly and with precision control and accuracy. A durable, rugged weapon system, able to make a single soldier into the firepower equivalent of a whole infantry battalion! That was the goal of the TG-R19, and one which, in Vis’ never-so-humble opinion, it has clearly achieved!
Combining the features and benefits of a phased pulse blaster cannon chaingun with those of a micro-grenade launcher, the “Tiger” was able to achieve these goals by granting superior firepower to a single user. A phased pulse blaster cannon is a chaingun capable of tremendous rates of fire and impressive range, able to knock out enemy vehicles and personnel with relative ease. It’s sheer volume of offensive potency actually causes these weapons to transcend into defensive weaponry, able to suppress and delay large numbers of approaching foes from a single firing point. This translates to neutralizing and breaking up attacks, disrupting enemy movements, and all-but-nullifying an enemy’s numerical advantage, especially when focused through some natural ‘choke point’ such as a corridor, mountain pass, or similar artificial or natural point. Adding to this, the micro-grenade launcher with its accuracy, range, control, and versatility of munitions, allows that same firing point to become a mobile tactical artillery platform, raining down its destructive power to increase the overall effects of the platform.
Now, there are considerations to be had for sure here: First of all, the only way to allow for sustained, near-continuous use of the blaster cannon is to draw from an external power supply. Otherwise, it is limited to just 500 rounds per power cell before needing to swap for a new one or else reconsider one’s plans abruptly. However, when connected to a powerful-enough supply, the weapon’s capacity is dramatically increased for so long as that supply can last. Now, it’s important to remember that using the TG-R19 this way places an awfully heavy demand on that supply, and failure to manage that draw can deplete a supply quickly, and worse, cause diminished power allotments to other equipment and systems using the same source. Therefore, this option should be reserved to a dedicated power source or else one with tremendous capability or reserves for best results.
Second, this isn’t a kid’s toy. The TG-R19 is a very heavy, very large weapon system, and its high rate of fire and recoil when the blaster cannon is used can make it hard to control. It requires first a humanoid user, and next, one who is neither small nor weak. Large, inherently strong species or users wearing powered armor suits will have a much easier and more productive go at it than smaller, weaker users or those not using some form of assisted strength enhancement. It’s accuracy as a blaster cannon isn’t exactly equal to a sniper rifle or the like to begin with, and as range between it and its target increases, the accuracy rating shrinks. At maximum range, the tightly-grouped bursts and shots of the weapon turn into a pattern of unpredictable and helter-skelter effects, greatly lessening the weapon’s effectiveness.
Lastly, it’s important to remember: The TG-R19’s grenade magazine is limited in size, and rounds from this should be used sparingly, or risk running out. Luckily, its accuracy, smaller area of effect, and recoilless action enables a level of precision control not found in similar types of arms, making it ideally-suited for close-quarters fighting and pinpoint strikes, putting those grenades exactly where they will accomplish the most good with the very best possible effects. A practiced user can, as the range instructors used to say, put ‘steel on steel’ and ‘rounds on target’ with relative ease.

MANIAC MANIAC Thanks for catching that. It's probably because no one in the history of firearms has ever said "Large Capacity", but only "High Capacity", LOL. It's an easy mistake to make and apparently, I make it often, LOL. Anyway, fix made and thanks again for reviewing this!
