DESCRIPTION
Developed by the various minds within the Trade Federation, the TF02 Droid Tank; Hammerhead Pattern, would serve as an Armoured Siege Platform. Equipped with a veritable arsenal of weapons, the Hammerhead found itself capable of engaging a myriad of targets and attaining variable measures of success. With the twinned arrays of heavy repeating blaster cannons, the Hammerhead could effectively wipe out entire platoons of Infantry that were caught out in the open. Adding in the energy torpedo launcher assembly, with six emitters, the Armoured Siege Platform could engage heavily armoured targets. However, as energy torpedoes were "dumb-fired" munitions - they had a marginally higher success rate against stationary targets, in comparison to more mobile opposition. With those systems alone, the Hammerhead would be a danger to any and all opposition - but what made the Armoured Siege Platform truly deadly to it’s opposition, was the inclusion of a heavy phased-pulse cannon turret. That very heavy phased-pulse cannon would be capable of drawing power away from it’s supporting systems, many of which governed several key sectors of the Hammerhead, to supercharge the main gun’s lethality beyond standard operational parameters. This lethality, coupled with the fact that the Hammerhead was essentially Self-aware - capable of operating outside the list of orders it was given, the Droid Tank would be extremely deadly to whatever opposition stood in the Repulsortank’s way.
