DESCRIPTION
Developed by the various minds within the Trade Federation, the TF01 Droid Corvette; Remora Pattern was designed to operate as an effective small-scale capital ship that could operate in a multitude of roles. Like the Hardcell that came before, the Remora initially began its conception as a large-scale transport ship. But, as the Galaxy desired more militant vessels, the Trade Federation believed that it would be better to flesh out their Naval Assets with competent offerings. Thus, the Remora was altered to suit the demands of the Board and their myriad Clientele.

The Droid Corvette played host to an advanced artificial intelligence system that governed a majority of the ship’s systems and operations. As there was little need for an organic crew, much of the space that would’ve been required for sleeping quarters were converted into massive databanks and processors. This additional computational space allowed for the Shipboard AI to perform the tasks that often required dozens of organic officers and computer systems to accomplish, but in a fraction of time.

Not only did this change allow for a greater yield of combat efficacy, when pitted against simulated opponents, but permitted the Artificial Intelligence to store previous experiences so that they could be recalled at a later date. Effectively, this made the older variants of the Remora more dangerous than their younger counterparts, and often a priority target for those who have experienced their tactical acumen on the spatial battlefield before.

To complement the Remora’s tactical prowess and combat abilities, the Corvette was capable of ferrying a small selection of starfighters into battle. While their purposes varied between support or combat, these starfighters would assist the small-scale capital ship in carrying out their assigned tasks.

From there, the Remora was also outfitted to operate as a small-scale military transport. The capital-ship housed a modest complement of battle droids and their larger cousins, that would follow the commands of their owners. Naturally, those commands varied from one person to the next, but they were ultimately passed along by the Remora’s artificial consciousness; which could also act as a competent ground commander for myriad surface-based operations. Even with its peculiar method of planetary landings, the Remora was capable of acting as a mobile fortress or base of operations to help coordinate the “boots on the ground.”

All of these boons would prove nothing short of beneficial to those that purchased the Remora, and her supplementary units. These select Clientele would have a proverbial army that was utterly loyal, at their fingertips. Not only that, but those Clients would unknowingly become a party to the downfall of the Electrum Standard, which some governments utilized as the foundation for the systems of currency within the modern era. All hail the Trade Federation.
