• A scholar once said, "Order is the sanity of the mind, the health of the body, the peace of the city, the security of the state." In a sense, this is the goal of every law enforcement agency, to protect and preserve order against the criminal element. Perhaps this is no better exemplified in Marshal Teuvo Kochaq.
  
  Born on the Inner Rim world of Milvayne, Teuvo came from a long line of officers. The planet's Milvayne Authority was renowned for its sense of law enforcement, praised by the Empire and Republic alike. Throughout the turbulence of history, the Authority did not waver against the chaos.
  
  Inspired by his ancestors, young Teuvo sought to become an officer of the law. He initially intended to follow his father's path and join the Authority, but he saw an opportunity to bring Milvaynian police techniques to the greater Galaxy when Milvayne joined the Galactic Alliance. He pivoted to pursuing a career in the Alliance Marshal Service.
  
  As expected, Kochaq graduated from the Academy and was granted the rank of Deputy Marshal. He joined the Investigative Operations Division, particularly focused on battling against the various cartels rooted in the underbelly of Alliance Space. From here, he helped with detective work with his partner, a Duros named Marshal Jauel Tuks.
  
  But, their partnership would not last. Eight years into his career, Marshals Kochaq and Tuks underwent an investigation of a major spice deal set up by a faction of the Pyke Syndicate. It unfortunately lead to a firefight between AMS officers and Pyke agents. Marshal Tuks was fatally shot, leaving a sense of guilt with Teuvo.
  
  Ever since that day, Officer Kochaq has made a vow to bring down as many gangs and syndicates that he can. A vendetta for a partner fallen in the line of duty. But also a promise to rid of the harm their kind brings to the Galaxy.
• Strengths
  
  • Combat Training: As a law enforcement officer, Teuvo was trained in various hand-to-hand and blasterarm techniques to subdue criminals. Both non-lethally and lethally, if the occasion calls for use of deadly force.
  • Investigator: As a member of the Marshal Service's Investigative Division, Officer Kochaq is knowledgeable in the procedures involving the collection of evidence, the processing of witnesses, and other field investigation tactics.
  Weaknesses
  
  • Lawful Neutral: Having been raised in the culture of Milvayne, Teuvo has a rigid adherence to the law. He views the law as creating order in an otherwise chaotic Galaxy. He still has an ethical code about not using authority to terrorize civilians, and is more lenient with petty crime. Yet, he is against most major forms of lawbreaking.
  • Anti-Syndicate: Out of all the criminal elements, he despises organized crime the most. After the loss of his partner, Teuvo has taken on a personal crusade against the syndicates. This also creates a bit of prejudice against ethnic criminal organizations such as the Hutt Cartel and Pyke Syndicate, as he gets highly suspicious of either species.
