Question Terraforming

I've looked through quite a few planet subs, great job everyone, and unless I missed it, most planets are created from scratch.

My question, is it Chaos possible to terraform a canon planet that is, well a Star Wars NPC planet, and breathe life into it?

Or would it be more reasonable to create a whole new planet with terraforming as it's basis?

Yes, but also no.

You can submit a codex sub of a terraformed Tatooine, but anyone can just ingore it and play on the old sandbox. Ultimately, it's down to what people want to acknowledge.

Ok, that was two questions.

I would suggest creating a custom world unless there is a heavy, heavy story reason why a Canon world has been altered in that way, or else it won't gain much traction. That being said, if you don't care if anyone else acknowledges it, the Codex is your oyster. Typically, what I like to see for "Canon" worlds is when writers find a "stub" on the wookie and expand on that to make it a fully fleshed out world that members would like to spend time on...Or you know, fight over xD.
