  • The Tempest Mantle allows the wearer to cast for force across their body, using skills like barrier to provide force-based shielding, or elemental skills to enhance Lunara’s abilities, allowing her to surround herself in an armour of ice or fire, or manipulating the elements at will. The threads also allow the use of the elements to enhance Lunara’s physical abilities. The Tempest Mantle also allows Lunara to use herself as a focus for her force based abilities, allowing her to manipulate the force in ways she was not previously capable of without a staff or other tool.
  • Overcoat: Made up of a Neithweave and Dramassian Silk mix woven through with a Pyronium mesh the overcoat is the centre of the alchemical capabilities of the Tempest Mantle.
    • Pyronium Net: The sile of the overcoat is threaded with a mesh of Pyronium which can be used to store energy absorbed by the Tempest Mantle. The pyronium effectively acts as a battery, storing the energy until Lunara needs to call on it. The pyronium had one goal and one goal alone, to store energy from, and feed energy to the Tutaminis within the overcoat.
    • Alchemized fabric: Worked with by the best alchemists Locke and Key could hire, the overcoat has two force abilities built into the fabric.
      • Tutaminis: The central power the overcoat is built around, the power of Tutaminis allows for energy absorption, from the blade of a lightsaber to a blaster bolt, or the heat of a flame, the ability allows for that energy to be absorbed and channelled away. This ability works two ways, and energy released from the Pyronium mesh can then be channelled by the wearer into other force powers, to the Alter Environmental ability build into the overcoat.
      • Alter Environment: This force power allowed the user to manipulate the very forces of nature, bending them to their will. Able to drop temperatures or raise them at will, manipulate lightning or the very air around you, the applications of Alter Environment are as wide as your imagination and knowledge of physics will allow. The use of this force power is Lunara’s signature, and the Tempest Mantle is meant to enhance that ability, making it easier for the woman to manipulate the environment around her. Alter Environment takes very little power to create a disproportionally large effect, and by calling on the power stored in the pyronium, Lunara is able to either cast for longer periods, or more powerful effects, effectively turning the armour into a powerful focusing tool.
  • Bodyglove: A bodyglove made of a Dramassian Silk and Neithweave made in a similar style to Locke and Key Mechanic’s signature Hexarium Bodyglove Mark II. The form-fitting garment contains several technologies intended to provide Lunara with utility on the battlefield.
    • LK Apollo MK II
    • Kavacha Shield System
    • Direct Neural Interface
    • Iris Link
    • Environmental Shield: Like the Hexarium Bodyglove Mark II Lunara’s bodyglove contains the ability to generate an environmental shield around her. Although incapable of defending against attack, the environmental shield does have eh ability to protect you against a hostile environment, while collecting the air around you for a period of time. If you’re tossed out into space during a fight, or into another hostile environment, the shield will give you a space to time to be rescued or make your way to safety.
  • Boots: Made of Corellian Leather and treated with nanobots in a similar manner to the rest of the armour to allow it to remain pristine and white no matter what stains might attempt to find a purchase.
    • Micro-Repulsors: The soles of the boots are seeded with micro-repulsors, allowing the wearer to almost float above the ground, or stick to any surface she might come across.
  • Nanobots: The entire armour and bodyglove are seeded with nanobots built into the very fabric the Tempest Mantle is made from. The nanobots serve 3 purposes.
    • Cleaning: No matter what attempts to stain the Tempest Mantle, the nanobots will break down the stain keeping it clean.
    • Repair: It’s inevitable that over time any armour, any item of clothing will get damaged and degraded. Any normal item. The Tempest Mantle however can repair those little nicks and tears that can be picked up in combat, given time the nanobots will be able to repair most damage done to the Tempest Mantle.
    • Stealth-mode: At a command, the nanobots can recolour the Tempest Mantle back, allowing Lunara to take advantage of the capacity of the Neithweave to shrug off sensors. While not a true cloak, it does make her much harder to spot.

  • Health Sensors: The bodyglove is threaded with a variety of health sensors which collect data on the wearer’s heart rate, breathing and other biological functions. This data is collected via the Iris Link built into the suit that will allow the data to be processed by any armour you are wearing, or transmitted via a commlink.
  • Iris Link: Locke and Key’s newest generation of datalink has the ability to link up to other systems via a direct-wired connection or a wireless link. This data can include readings from the medical sensors and Direct Neural Interface, as well as commands sent via the Apollo Mark II.
  • Apollo Mark II: An improved version of the Apollo interface, the Mark II replaces the need for a datapad, providing a holographic display and interface when needed. It also comes with a few basic sensors built-in and solid light technology, allowing the user a greater ability to interact with their environment without needed tools or armour. Very useful when you need to make a quick repair or adjustment onboard a ship.
  • Direct Neural Interface: A series of medical sensors spread across the suit allow it to detect motor impulses, feeding them into a suit of armour or other vehicles if able which will cut down the reaction time of the user.
  • Energy Energy Everywhere: The overcoat of the Tempest Mantle is threaded with a mesh of Pyronium that can absorb and store vast amounts of energy. The pyronium acts as a battery for Lunara to call on when and if she needs.
  • Tutaminis: The ability of the force to absorb and redirect energy, the armour is built around this ability. Absorbing energy to be used at a later date.
  • Alter Environment: Lunara’s signature ability, the ability to affect the world around her is built into the overcoat as well, making it easier for Lunara to affect the weather and the environment around her.
  • Nanobots: The entire outfit is seeded with nanobots, allowing the outfit to clean and repair itself as well as activating a stealth mode.
  • Stealth: Built out of stealthy materials, the Tempest Mantle has the ability to shrug off sensors, while when the nanobots recolour it to make it harder to spot.

  • Channeler: Although the power of Tutaminis theoretically can absorb all energy thrown against it, that energy then has to be channelled to the Pyronium mesh built into the overcoat. This energy has to pass through the body of the wielder, which establishes a hard limit on the amount of energy that can be absorbed before the wearer is overwhelmed.
  • One at a time: The shield emitters can only generate one kind of shield at once, either protective shields or the environmental shield. You can’t have both at once.
  • Not invisible: The Tempest Mantle isn’t able to turn you invisible, but the fabric it is made up of can shed sensors like water rolling off a duck’s back. When entering stealth mode, the normally white outfit is rendered black, making it harder to spot Lunara when she’s moving through the shadows
  • Just a cloth: Despite the capabilities and defences built into the outfit, it’s still just cloth and has no real defence against blugeoning physical attacks.
  • Emergencies only: The Body glove’s forcefield is not meant as an alternative for full EV suit but will sustain you if your armour is breached, or if the hull of the ship you are on is opened to space, for long enough for you to escape or be rescued.
  • Not a hazmat suit: The bodyglove is airtight but not designed as a hazmat suit, while it can handle the cold of space for a time, and some other environments it’s not a replacement for a proper hazardous environments suit.

Much to Lunara’s annoyance, she had found that there were time when she couldn’t wear the dresses and robes she preferred on missions. That she needed something a little more martial, designed for the demands of the battlefield. So she hired Locke and Key Mechanics to design a set of light combat armour for her.
The Tempest Mantle was the end result of this commission. An outfit designed to enhance Lunara’s combat style. Never one for close range combat the Tempest Mantle enhances Lunara’s ability to manipulate the environment around her, providing her with both focus and energy to make it easier to weave the force to achieve her aims while supporting her with the latest in modern technology.
