I think what the main issue is that this is suppose to be a pvp thread, meaning winners are decided on duels and PC engagements. An orbital strike eliminates people from having a chance to counter such an attack, negating the rules of allowing players to react to potential hits.

But it doesn't matter to me, like I said....not my faction involved, not my problem to sort out.

Yeah, but people have NPC guns being fired at PCs. Some people brought cannons, others brought this...Will Smith orbital bombardment weapon. But what surprises me - why didn't TU bring any fleets then, if they knew RA has this weapon? *scratches head*
Please sort this out somehow, so I know what to post in my next post... if anything, given the probability of being incinerated from both TU and friendly fire is approaching 1.

18. NPC units may be used to fight another PC character and their NPC units, however, that fight will still count as a PVP fight between the characters. Use and roleplay your units reasonably.

This rule basically states that the battle isn't PVP as advertized.

You can write as you wish. It is up to you how this effects you, not them. Nobody is allowed to inflict damage or demand you write what you do not wish to write on your own character.

In hindsight though, I think this is too many NPCs. Maybe a fire team, squad, or platoon each next time!

To anyone effected by the attack of the HEPF-1 Saint; This vessel was argued over in an earlier invasion and the conclusion was that the weapon was not capable of producing nuclear sized blasts, nor is it capable of eviscerating entire sections of a planet in one go.

Yes. Real world physics can apply here, but this is Star Wars we are writing in a fictional universe. One where laser swords are somehow capable of cutting through every single metal except this one really brittle one that I could punch and break. This is not reality, and certain things are bent here to better illustrate story and fit our character.

Damage done to your character can only be calculated and decided by you no one else.

To those of you effected by this weapon, I ask you, in the spirit of cooperation, to take proportional damage or create a counter that is fair to both sides. Those using the weapon have been PM'd.

I think Xue might have a point with rule 18. This just turns NPCs on the side of the union into a guaranteed victory. Now I don't mind losing but I at least would like a fighting chance.

This can be massively abused as we are outnumbered and once our NPCs are either engagedc or otherwise disposed of the massive amount of untied NPCs on the union side could quite easily crush any NPC character due to us not being a one man army who can fight off hundreds of NPCs. I feel like this rule can be highly abused

And Xue is right that it defeats the purpose of an PVP invasion turning it into NPC Fodder Fest 2K15. If possible we can discuss having this rule stricken out in a PM.
