  • NAME: Glorea Crux
    FACTION: Ranger
    SPECIES: Human
    AGE: Mid Twenties
    SEX: Female
    HEIGHT: 180cm
    WEIGHT: 70kg
FORCE SENSITIVITY: She doesn't know about all this "Force" mumbo-jumbo, but she is damn lucky and good at getting bad feelings about things.

Glorea Crux or the Tech-Girl, as she was known as to both Imperial Intelligence and the Alliance to Restore the Republic, was an information broker and smuggler for the alliance after the Battle of Yavin, in where she had commandeered a smugglers ship to save several Rebel Spies. She had introduced herself as Tech-Girl to the Rebels she had saved and welcomed them aboard her newly named ship of The Reliable, a ship she had taken from its former crew of smugglers, of which she was a member. Seeing as they wouldn't have gotten out of the situation they found themselves in without her, she unsubtly got them to hire her onto their payroll or... well she extorted them for an easier job.

She gave the Rebels a story of how she ended up where she was, running with smugglers across the galaxy, where she had only ended up doing this nasty business because she was forced from her homeworld by the Empire. Doing what exactly? She both made and copied and made more of tech things she found and were given to her to sell out of a small tech shack in her quaint little town of Nunya. Blasters, replicators, repulsors, droids and droid brains, if it had metal and did something, Tech-Girl wanted a look at it. But as the Tech-Girl put it, Imps didn't like her selling "tech-kits", which could really only be code for weapons in the Rebel minds, but was actually more innocently her making copies of droids... with sometimes there being a blaster involved.

So the Tech-Girl got a job, an easy job for her and in complete despite of her claiming otherwise, was information brokering for the Rebels... or slicing into Imperial Systems and getting whatever they needed at what time. She hated being called a slicer, anyone could be a slicer, she did far more than just slice, which is why she hated when new teams would call her "Slicer-Girl", why she insisted on being called "Tech-Girl". If there was any tech involved, she could do something with it, she could rig up a bomb, turn a ship against its own crew, fix a broken hyperdrive, build a brand new ship! She wasn't just a slicer, slicers can't do half the things she does.

Glorea was good at getting what the Rebels needed, so good that she was offered a place in New Republic Intelligence, that she promptly declined because she was definitely not going to be bogged down by authorities after she went through so much trouble getting away from them in the first place back home. You know, she wanted to run a simple shack where she sold techy things. But enough persistence eventually got her to join up with a different organization in the New Repub'. Sector Rangers. Something of a lawbringer for the more wilder spaces of the Republic. It simply sounded more fun than whatever Intel would've had her do.

Glorea is a human standing at 180cm, weighing 70kg, she is dark-skinned, with naturally dark brown hair and eyes.

The Tech-Girl is a woman who stands above the galactic average height of a human woman and as a result she can often find herself either standing at the same height or looking down at men who are on the more technical side of average height in the galaxy. Though she is not intimidatingly big or really intimidating at all for her height, she finds that men still are careful around her, for no other reason than their own ego at having a woman taller than their technically average height.
  • Strengths:
Glorea Crux is the Tech-Girl, she has a talent for figuring out each and every piece of technology that comes her way... with time. There hasn't been a piece that she hasn't figured out yet, but then again, her hands haven't touched every piece of technology in the galaxy. Yet.

She also has this knack for flying a ship, not dog-fighting mind you, but flying a ship and knowing its in's and out's. Some would say engineering skills wouldn't translate to actual operation, but that isn't entirely true for Glorea. There are tricks and things Tech-Girl can do for a ship that would leave people simply astonished afterward... or throwing up their insides afterward.

    Weaknesses:
Now there are things that Glorea can make, that don't translate to her being an expert operator afterward. One of those things is the operation of blasters, she is far from a great marksman, far from just a good one, she knows how to zero and then maybe hit her target.

Really, any confrontation that isn't one where Glorea isn't behind fifty millimetres of dura and transparasteels with chemical or ion engines roaring, people are going to have a fair chance of beating the Tech-Girl. She's great at all things tech, she isn't great at confrontation, her skills lay in never getting in those situations, to begin with.

The pride and joy of Glorea's life, the Reliable. Once called the Unreliable by its former crew that Glorea had stolen the beauty off of, Glorea has put in the years of work to make the former Unreliable ship into the state of the art Reliable she is today. Equipped with what would be a shady aftermarket 0.5 Hyperdrive that was installed correctly and even brought up to safety standards to run at the admittedly slower but still a far more reliable 0.65 Hyperspace capability. Maybe she ain't gon' do the Corellian run as fast as some crazy haphazardly put together smuggler ships, but she'll do it far more consistently at a fast pace. Just like her hyperdrive, the rest of the ship was brought up to date on technology, replacing much of the old engine with a brand new parts and even getting the then finicky quad-laser turret working and moving like brand new.
