Tarok's people, much like the Mandalorian culture, place a strong emphasis on maintaining their armour and weapons. Unlike the mandalorians there is no distinctive style or material used. Tarok's people are spread across the Rishi Maze and salvage what they can. Every Vardon builds and maintains their own armor and includes and technology they can get their hands on.
The armour is fully enclosing (image shown with helmet and several plates removed). Many pieces of the armor are actually drilled into Tarok's bones and cannot be removed without the assistance of mechanical tools. This is common practise among his people.
The armor is in some ways closer to the light tank's. The twelve foot tall Vardon is incredibly heavy when fully armoured. The plates are layered. There is an armour weave underlay, then layers of composite durasteel. A mesh of ostrine is woven through the layers and connected up through the suit. This material quickly disperses heat, distributing it through the plates and dumping it into a heat sink on Tarok's back where it can be used to recharge the suits batteries. A agrinium mesh protects the suits systems from EMP attacks. There is no mechanical power in the suit, Tarok needs none.
The layered armor and heat distribution make it exceptionally resistant to common blasters. It also gives some resistance to light sabers, but sustained constant to one area or repeated strikes will quickly overwhelm the heat distribution system and leave isolated armor plates particularly vulnerable to lightsaber attack.
