Fething huge: Tanwasos are the largest land predators on Duniya; an apex predator only attacked by particularly desperate Dobarrodon packs.
Suprisingly fast: With extremely strong legs and a large tail to balance, Tanowasos can move suprisingly fast for their size, up to 80km per hour.

Weak arms: Tanowasos have weak and practically useless arms
Unintelligent: They're not that smart; it's not hard to trick or trap one
Distinctions: Giant lizard-like creatures, capable of sawllowing a human whole easily.

Races: A race of Tanowasos dominate the ecology on the continent of Duri, nearly twice as large as their bretheren on other continents. However, this subspecies is also incredibly rare, slower, and even more unintelligent.

General behavior: Tanowasos tend to carve out a large chunk of territoryh for themselves, and stay there for the rest of their lvies. They are known to defend their territory to the death, killing and eating anything that happens to wander into it. The miners of Duniya would often use heavy weaponry, such as anti-tank rifles and personal missiles, in order to deal with the beasts effectively. But even then, they were often enraged before giving up.
Tanowasos are extremely stupid creatures, known to fight continuously until they die. However, their huge size and equally large temper discourages anything from attacking them in the first place, and most creatyures of the planet usually give them a wide berth.
Tanowasos are solitary. The only time you will see two together is during a mating- where the female will lay eggs a few months after the encounter, and guard the eggs with her life until they hatch. Once they hatch, the infants are on their own, left to stake out a new territory for themselves. If the infants don't leave, the mother often has an extra side-dish.
History: Tanowasos were discovered and named when explorers first came to Duniya in 378 ABY.
