Talon's Rest [ Srina ]

The Dark Side understands...Does that mean it also thinks? Wants?

For many years, Darth Metus had wondered the very same. His foundation - a culture of Mandalorian warfare - dictated that the Force was nothing more than a tool. Yet, those few who had guided him down the Sith path preached differently. They regarded the Force as something that...living that responded to one's desires. They regarded it as something that certainly had a will of its own - and could devour those it found unworthy. As the young beauty voiced her curiosities, Darth Metus held his tongue for the moment. He watched as [member="Srina Talon"] changed before his eyes.

Their battle had left the starlight in hers eyes dim. The silver pools seemed weary - not physically but mentally. It was obvious that the torments she had gone through took their toll, despite the arcane healing Darth Metus had employed. Yet, at his behest, a change happened in her demeanor. He could feel the emotions rising within her, like a vessel of water coming to a slow boil. He bore witness to the change in her eyes - as sulfur began to tint her irises. The Sith braced himself, locking his jaw in a tight clench of teeth in anticipation of the agony. He knew what she was capable of when pushed - the first day of their relationship had told him that much.

When pushed, Srina could unleash the primal might within. She could warp walls and shatter rooms.

When pushed, her power was immense.

Odojinya.

The incantation came as a low murmur, so quiet that Darth Metus could scarcely hear. But, just as he had instructed, the Dark Side responded to the woman's quiet demand. With hand outstretched did she bend the Darkness to her whim, forming and shaping the vicious bands of energy about his form. They snapped into being around the Sith's form, crackling with the same might but appearing different. The word raw best described what Darth Metus saw. Yet, the display did not last for long as, upon contracting to ensnare him, the bands promptly melted away. No agony ravaged the Sith's body. No stifling of his connection came about.

But Srina...Srina was left with an expression on her face. A cold smile. A wicked grin.

It faded, just as the spell. Despite dragging all of her sorrows and anger to the surface, there was but one hurdle she refused to overcome. Her head lowered, as if she had failed..."To answer your question...yes, the Dark Side does think. And it does want." he began, breaking the quiet that had appeared. Stepping forward, he bridged the gap between them before taking a knee. His gaze was fixated upon the muddy mess that had become her hair. Reaching out, his fingertips gingerly caressed her cheek, as they so often did.

He knew his Apprentice. He knew that, above all, what steadied her was physical assurance. A simple touch to let her know he cared did more than any words ever could. And Darth Metus did care, beyond any words he could muster. "It wanted you to be with me. And so gave you visions and placed you in my life." he said, adjusting his stance so that he was on both knees. His touch changed - his fingertips left her cheek so that his arms might wrap around her.

"And I am so glad it did."

He let his feelings bleed through their Bond. Pure emotions of happiness and relief reverberated through him - as if to say she hadn't failed in the slightest. She would be able to feel the guilt and conflict that had been roiling within him the whole time as well; the debate to harm her had given him just as much pause as her decision to quell her spell early.

She would know he felt the same as her.

That there was nothing under the sun that would make him want to harm her. That her pain today was only to prepare her...that if the roles were reversed, he would have done the same.

"I think that's enough for one day...Let's head back and clean ourselves up."
