Nitya Xeraic Nitya Xeraic

He rode the of emotions their kiss produced the intense emotions where something he wasn't used to feeling but he didn't hide from them. As the arkanian felt her touch part of him didn't want the feeling or this moment to end but he knew it would it would have to.

The feeling of their bodies so close was electric and warm but when she pulled away he understood completely "I'm not usually this forward like this with words yes but not intimately like this" he admitted his lips also curled abit from his honesty. But also from how this had gone I'm usually more restrained then this" he said being honest as he felt her touch and saw her sight lower to her lips. He listened to her speak felt her touch and knew he hd been to forward and had let emotions run to high.

Something he would have to work on as his hands rested on nityas hips as he looked into her eyes "I'll remember that and keep it in mind" he said his voice carrying consideration he would definitely keep that in mind going forward.

He smiled as she said she wasn't going anywhere and neither should he "I'll stay until you tell me to leave" he said as he gave her a soft and quick kiss on the lips not nearly as intense as the first two or as long but still a kiss.

Nitya felt the shift in him before he ever spoke it aloud — the way his hands rested more carefully at her hips, the way his voice softened, grounded not by distance but by consideration. When his quick, gentler kiss touched her lips, she accepted it without hesitation, her mouth responding naturally, warmly, before she eased back just enough to look at him fully.

There was no disappointment in her expression. No retreat. Only a quiet understanding.

"I can tell," she said softly, her voice low and steady, carrying reassurance rather than judgment. "You aren't reckless. You're… honest. Sometimes honesty moves faster than intention." Her hands remained on him, one resting at his side, the other lightly against his chest, fingers splayed where she could feel the steady strength beneath. She didn't push him away — instead, she let the contact linger, letting him know his awareness hadn't broken the moment of it.

"You didn't frighten me," she added gently, meeting his gaze without flinching. "And you didn't cross a line I wasn't willing to stand near." Her thumb traced a slow, grounding circle where her hand rested, a quiet, calming gesture meant as much for him as for herself. "I appreciate that you listened," she continued. "That you slowed when I asked you to. That matters to me."

When he said he would stay until she told him to leave, something warm flickered through her eyes — not possession, not expectation, but acceptance. "Then stay," she said.

She leaned in then, closing the space on her own terms this time, brushing her forehead lightly against his, a softer intimacy than the kisses before — deliberate, unhurried, and sincere. "We don't have to decide anything tonight," she murmured. "We don't have to name this or rush it or test its limits." Her breath warmed his cheek as she spoke, her lips close enough to promise more without demanding it.

"But I am glad you're here, Delvin. And I would like to see where this goes… one moment at a time." She drew back just enough to smile at him — small, genuine, and quietly hopeful. "For now," she added softly, "we were going to make tea."

Delvin wasn't a man who was used to these type of scenarios he preferred his lab and his experiments to dealing with other people. But what this was how it felt he would see it through as they stood there together her hands on his chest and waist him holding her waist as his eyes looked into hers as he listened feeling her so close to him it stirred something within him that he suppressed for her since she wanted to take this slow feel it out and see where it whent.

"Slow with no expectations i can do that" he said as his hands remained on her hips he smiled as she rested her forehead against his he wouldn't push this further than she was comfortable with he didn't want to name it but he liked the feeling. This elicited in him as he stood there shirtless his toned muscular upper body there for her to see. "Tea sounds amazing although I'll leave making it to you I'm not very good at it" he said honesty. As he pulled away slightly and let her begin making tea.

Nitya felt the moment settle as he stepped back, not as a loss but as a deliberate pause. The warmth of him lingered even as his hands left her waist, and she didn't rush to fill the space. Instead, she watched him for a heartbeat longer than necessary — not with hunger alone, but with curiosity, with the quiet recognition of someone unused to moments like this choosing to stay present anyway.

"That's all I'm asking," she said softly. "Slow doesn't mean uncertain. It just means… intentional."

She turned toward the small kitchen alcove, gathering herself as much as the cups, but she didn't shut him out of the moment. She could feel his gaze on her back, the awareness of his presence following her as surely as the lamplight did. When she reached for the kettle, she glanced back at him, golden eyes lingering briefly on his bare shoulders, the lines of muscle and strength he wasn't trying to display — simply existing as he was.

A faint smile touched her lips.

"You can stay right there," she added lightly, a hint of warmth beneath the calm. "You've done enough for tonight."

She busied herself with the tea, movements unhurried and practiced, the quiet domestic rhythm grounding after the intensity they'd shared. As the water began to warm, she spoke again, her voice easy, unguarded. "I'm glad you didn't retreat," she said without looking back yet. "A lot of people do when things feel unfamiliar. You didn't."

She turned then, setting two cups out, meeting his eyes once more. "That tells me more than any bold gesture could."

She handed him a cup when the tea was ready, her fingers brushing his briefly — a small, deliberate touch that echoed the closeness they hadn't abandoned, only tempered.

"For now," she said gently, "this is enough." And in the quiet that followed, it truly was.

Delvin stood there watching her move about taking in the shape of her the way her eyes lingered on him he looked into her eyes there was an attraction there physical but also deeper he would hold himself back it was obvious that nitya wanted to take things slow and he would respect that he did respect that "intentional is good something i respect" he said honestly.

As he watched her make tea "i can do more and be helpful you just have to tell me what you want" he said a smirk forming on his lips as his eyes lingered on her form. As he sat down still watching "it was unfamiliar true but it felt right with you" he said. As she walked up he watched the way her hips moved the way her clothes hung to her body and her.

"When I came to this planet I never expected that there would be a person who would hold my attention so completely as you" he said honestly as he took the cup from her and took a sip it tasted amazing "this cup is almost as delicious as you are interesting company" he offered the compliment he let the quiet that would follow fill the air between them. It felt right as he sipped the tea making doubly sure not to spill it as it held special meaning to her.

Nitya did not miss the way his gaze followed her, nor did she pretend not to feel it. She was used to being observed in other ways, assessed, measured, and judged, but this was different. This was attention without hunger behind it, appreciation without demand, and she allowed herself to exist comfortably within it as she finished pouring the tea.

When he spoke, she paused for just a moment, turning toward him with the cup still in her hands, golden eyes steady and warm.

"Intentional is good," she agreed quietly. "Especially when something feels right and unfamiliar at the same time. Those are the moments worth paying attention to."

She crossed the small space between them and handed him the tea, her fingers brushing his as she did. This time, she did not pull away immediately. She let the contact linger just long enough to acknowledge the compliment, to let him know it had landed and that she was not dismissing it.

At his offer to help, her lips curved into a faint smile, equal parts amusement and appreciation.

"I'll remember that," she said. "For now, sitting and sharing the quiet is more than enough. But I do like knowing you're willing."

She took her own cup and sat beside him rather than across the room, close enough that the warmth of his presence was easy to feel without pressing. The contact was subtle, unspoken, but intentional. She wrapped her hands around the cup, letting the warmth seep into her palms as she listened.

When he spoke about her holding his attention, she did not deflect it. She did not pretend not to hear the sincerity beneath it.

"That goes both ways," she said softly. "You surprised me, too."

His compliment about the tea and about her drew a quiet breath from her, not a blush but something warmer and more composed. She met his eyes over the rim of her cup, unflinching, a hint of quiet confidence in her expression.

"I'll accept that," she said gently. "Though I prefer to be interesting company before I'm anything else."

She took a slow sip, letting the silence settle naturally between them, unforced and comfortable.

"This tea," she added after a moment, "comes from a time in my life when things were simpler. I don't share it often." Her gaze softened just slightly as it rested on him again. "I'm glad I chose to tonight."

The quiet that followed was not awkward or heavy. It was earned.

Delvin watched her and listened not saying words but being contemplative as he now sat there with the tea in his hand as he sipped it. It was really good he allowed the silence to fill the room as they sat in eachothers company he would have to leave tomorrow morning at the latest. His lab would need him he had experiments that would be completed when he got back that would need his attention and expertise on.

As much as he wished he could stay longer and see whatever this was between them out further that wasnt an option for him but for now the silence would do as he continued sipping his tea. Enjoying the silence.

Nitya felt the shift in him long before it reached words. It wasn't something dramatic or sharp, just a subtle tightening beneath the calm he wore so carefully. The way his thoughts seemed to turn inward as he sat there with the tea, the way his attention drifted somewhere beyond the room even as his body remained present beside her. She didn't need the Force to recognize that kind of hesitation, but it confirmed what her intuition already suspected.

She didn't interrupt the silence right away. She let it exist, respected it, sat with him as he sat with himself. Her shoulder brushed lightly against his, not enough to demand attention, just enough to remind him that he wasn't alone in the quiet. When she finally spoke, her voice was gentle, unhurried, carrying no expectation.

"You're thinking about leaving," she said softly. It wasn't an accusation or a question, just an observation offered without pressure. Her gaze stayed forward, focused on the quiet glow of the lamplight rather than his face, as though giving him space to breathe inside the truth of it. "I don't know what tomorrow asks of you," she continued, fingers warming around her cup. "And I won't pretend that lives don't pull us in different directions. They always do."

Only then did she turn her head slightly, golden eyes resting on him with calm steadiness rather than concern. "But I want you to know something," she said. "I'm not going anywhere. This place is my anchor. Oralis Prime will still be here when you return, and so will I." Her words weren't a promise meant to bind him, only a reassurance meant to ease the unspoken tension she felt coiling beneath his composure.

"There's no rush to decide what this is," she added quietly. "No need to resolve it before morning. Some connections aren't meant to be finished in a single meeting. They're meant to be…revisited."

She let that settle between them, then leaned back slightly, giving him room again while still staying close.

"So if you leave," she said, almost gently enough to be mistaken for a thought rather than speech, "leave knowing that you're welcome to return."

The silence that followed wasn't empty. It felt patient.

Delvin sat there in the silence of his own mind enjoying the company of nitya in silence his mind on what he needed to do after he left when nitya spoke. Her voice was welcoming to him it felt natural warm even if she spoke without meaning to sound warm he looked at her into her golden eyes "I do have responsibilities that take me from this planet but I do intend to return soon as much as i enjoy my work I find i like your company more" he said honestly as he looked at her.

Feeling the nudge from her shoulder as he sat there "you are welcome to come with me but I must warn you my labs are a dangerous place to be even with its safety features" he offered sitting there. With his tea in his hands he looked at her. She was a beautiful woman. "If you want to stay I'll understand and I'll be back as soon as possible" he said sitting there. He wasn't going to force her to choose it was completely up to her if she stayed or whent "if you decide to come with me it will probably be a few days before you can come back" he offered sitting there. The arkanian would ensure her safety in his lab but that was if she whent.

Nitya listened without interrupting, the way she always did when something mattered. She felt the sincerity beneath his words more clearly than any promise could convey, and it eased something quiet but persistent in her chest. When he finished, she didn't answer immediately. She took a slow breath, letting the moment settle, letting herself feel the weight of being asked without being pressured.

She turned slightly toward him, her shoulder still close to his, golden eyes steady and warm as they met his.

"I know what it means to have responsibilities that pull you away," she said softly. "I've built my life around accepting that truth rather than fighting it." There was no bitterness in her tone, only understanding. "And I don't need you to choose between your work and me. I wouldn't want to be something that feels like a conflict."

Her gaze lingered on him, thoughtful, appreciative.

"That you intend to return matters more than how long you're gone," she continued. "Consistency has a quiet power. It tells me far more than urgency ever could."

At his invitation, she smiled faintly, not amused but touched by the trust implied in it. She considered it honestly, without romantic idealism clouding her judgment.

"Your lab may be fascinating," she said gently, "but Oralis Prime is where I'm rooted. This place keeps me balanced, and I've learned not to uproot myself lightly anymore." She reached out then, resting her hand briefly over his where it held the cup, a grounding, deliberate touch.

"But I appreciate that you asked," she added. "Truly."

She let her hand fall back to her lap, her posture relaxed, unguarded.

"Go," she said quietly. "Do what you need to do. I'll be here when you return, just as I said." A pause, then a softer note entered her voice. "And when you come back, we'll share tea again. No rush. No expectations."

Her eyes held his, calm and certain.

"That's enough for me."

Delvin sat there listening to her speak sipping his tea as he didn't remark listening intently and appreciately as he looked over her features. He held no apprehension about her words ony appreciation "you are remarkable and kind and also sincere" he said sitting there when her hand touched his he felt warmth and how much she meant what she said. As he finished his tea he set down his cup as he leaned in and gave her another kiss this one less passionate then the other two but there was still passion there. It lasted seconds but when he pulled away he looked her in the eyes "I understand why you want to stay on this planet its beautiful and quiet I can't wait to return" he said honestly.

As he gathered his few things he brought with him to her home. "To our next meeting let it last longer" he said as he left to go to back to arkania and to his lab.

A couple of weeks later

Delvin had returned to the planet like he had promised he held a bouquet of flowers in one hand and a box containing the same tea nitya held so dearly. He wore a brown button up shirt shirt and black pants forgoing his lab coat a woman followed behind him with a datapad "sir I must insist that we go back your family has that dinner" she said before delvin cut her off "they dont want me there and I dont want to be there i want to be here so wait aboard the ship and handle my calls and messages" he ordered as she turned and left he was in the clearing to nityas dwelling as he knocked on the door to her dwelling "nitya im back sorry for my prolonged absence" he said as he entered hoping she was decent. As he saw her he smiled as he handed her the flowers and opened the box showing her the tea leaves he awaited her response before giving her a quick kiss.

Nitya had known the moment his ship broke atmosphere.

It wasn't urgency that stirred her, nor surprise. It was recognition, quiet and steady, the same way one notices the return of a familiar star after cloud cover clears. She finished setting the kettle aside before she moved to the door, smoothing her sleeves out of habit rather than nerves.

When it opened, and she saw him there, flowers in hand, the tea carefully chosen, something unguarded softened in her expression at once. Her golden eyes lingered on his face first, not the gifts, reading him in that way she had. Present. Grounded. Here.

"You don't owe me an apology," she said gently. "You came back. That's what mattered."

Her gaze dropped then, taking in the flowers, the box, and when she looked back up, the smile that curved her lips was unmistakably pleased. She accepted them with care, as though both carried weight beyond their form.

"You remembered," she added quietly, fingers brushing the edge of the box before lifting her eyes to his again. "That means more than you know."

When he leaned in to kiss her, she didn't hesitate. It was brief, warm, unhurried, her hand resting lightly at his side as she returned it without surprise or restraint. When they parted, she stayed close, just enough that the moment didn't fracture into distance.

"I'm glad you're here, Delvin," she said, the truth of it clear in her voice. "And I'm glad you chose this place."

She stepped aside then, opening the door fully, her posture relaxed, welcoming without ceremony. "Come in," she continued. "The tea's still warm."

And this time, when she closed the door behind him, it felt less like an arrival. It felt like a continuation.

delvin smiled as she greeted him her home felt warm and inviting as he entered and as he walked in. "Of course if came back i want to see how this goes between us I found my thoughts lingered on you and of this place when I was gone" he said honestly. As he stood there looking at her face as he let a smile grow on his face as he saw hers. Taking in the view of her home again the smells and feel of her home.

"let's hope it's i dont spill more of your tea this time even though I imagine the you might have enjoyed the view" he said the last part jokingly "tea does sounds lovely" he said as he sat down. Watching her as she moved he found his heart flutter for a moment at being back and being with her. "So anything exciting happen while I was gone?" He asked sitting there.

Nitya smiled as he settled in, the warmth of his presence fitting naturally into the quiet rhythm of her home, as though he had always belonged in the space rather than merely visiting it. She moved with easy familiarity as she prepared the tea, her motions unhurried, practiced, comfortable in the shared silence that no longer felt tentative.

At his teasing comment, she glanced back at him, one brow lifting slightly, amusement flickering through her golden eyes.

"I noticed," she replied calmly, though the faint curve of her lips betrayed her. "But I think I prefer you intact. Tea is better appreciated when it stays in the cup."

She poured the tea and brought it over, setting his cup down before taking her seat nearby. When he asked about her time while he'd been gone, she didn't hesitate or soften the truth, because she had nothing to hide and no reason to.

"I had another visitor," she said. "He came seeking conversation more than anything else. We spent the afternoon talking."

Her gaze met his again, steady and open, not defensive or evasive.

"About the Force. About paths. About why people choose solitude and why they leave it." A small pause. "It was…pleasant. Quiet." She lifted her own cup, taking a slow sip before adding, gently, "But different." The word carried no comparison meant to wound, only clarity.

"This place invites people to pass through," she continued. "Not many stay. Fewer return." Her eyes lingered on him a moment longer than necessary, warmth unmistakable. "I'm glad you did."

Delvin listened to her speak and watched her taking in her form and the way her body moved the way her hips swayed the way the light accentuated her form. "Agreed but if you want I can still remove my shirt if you want to look more without me spilling tea" he said half joking half serious. As he watched her taking in the sounds, sights, and feelings of her home as he awaited the tea as she approached he took the cup graciously.

"Interesting sounds like quite the philosophical discussion" he said sitting there as he took his first sip. "This place does have an inviting atmosphere and the hostess is both intelligent and beautiful" he said honestly sitting there. "I had a good reason to return" he said honestly as he took another sip "so what do you want to talk about" he asked sitting there.

Nitya accepted his teasing with a quiet, knowing smile rather than encouragement, her expression making it clear she heard the humor and the confidence beneath it without needing to rise to the bait. She moved with easy grace as she finished pouring the tea, then settled beside him again, close enough to feel the shared warmth without crowding it.

She lifted her cup, listening to him speak, and when he asked what she wanted to talk about, she didn't answer right away. Instead, she considered him, really looked at him, as though weighing the shape of his question rather than its surface.

"That was exactly what we spoke about," she said at last, her voice calm and thoughtful. "Belief. Not faith, necessarily, but the frameworks people build to understand the world."

She took a slow sip before continuing.

"You see the galaxy through science. Observation, experimentation, cause and effect. You believe in what can be tested, measured, and refined." Her gaze remained steady on his. "That doesn't make you close-minded. It makes you disciplined."

She lowered her cup slightly.

"But science isn't only about answers," she went on. "It's about curiosity. About asking why something exists in the first place. What drives you to look closer instead of walking away?"

Her head tilted just a fraction, interest evident but unforced.

"So I'm curious," she said gently. "Beyond your work, beyond the lab…what do you believe in?" A small pause. "Do you believe in choice. In people. In the idea that some things matter even if they can't be quantified."

Her lips curved faintly. "And before you ask," she added, "yes. I believe in the Force. But not as a doctrine. I believe in it the way I believe in gravity. It's there whether we name it or not. What matters is how we choose to move within it."

She met his eyes again, inviting rather than challenging.

"So tell me," she said quietly. "What else shapes the way you see the galaxy?"

Delvin jeth Delvin jeth

Nitya Xeraic Nitya Xeraic

Delvin listened to her speak as he sat there and he saw her reaction to his joke reading into it seeing her he would refrain from making such jokes again atleast for now.

As she listened to him speak "science can explain the universe in ways the force can't it explains how everything works on a physical level down to the smallest atom. And to the largest sun and planet and studying said universe can help one know how to best deal with lifes situations atleast In most situations" he offered sitting there. "It doesn't help with emotions and attachments like what we have" he said sitting there as he looked into her eyes.

"I believe everything happens for a reason every choice we make every every single thing that happens that shapes us to make those choices but" he said taking a sip as he held her gaze. "I also believe that how we deal with adversity and how we deal with it shapes our future selves" he said sitting there.

" I see the galaxy as how it is all things live and die suns planets people all things live and die and what we do when we are alive is what matters who we loved what we did" he said sitting there. As he sipped his tea as he looked into her eyes as he felt the warmth between them accepting it but not moving on it or acting on it.

Nitya listened without interrupting, the way she always did when someone was speaking from a place of conviction rather than performance. She held his gaze steadily, not weighing his words against her own beliefs, but letting them settle as they were. When he finished, she took a quiet breath, the warmth between them deepening rather than sharpening.

"I don't disagree with you," she said softly. "Science gives structure to the universe. It explains the how with remarkable clarity, and without it, we would be blind to much of what keeps us alive." Her fingers traced the rim of her cup absently, thoughtful rather than distracted. "The Force doesn't replace that. It doesn't need to."

She looked at him then, really looked at him, golden eyes calm and attentive.

"Where science ends, the Force doesn't argue," she continued. "It simply… exists alongside it. It doesn't tell me how a star burns or why a body heals. It tells me when to sit still, when to move, and when to listen. It helps me understand people, not systems."

At his mention of emotions and attachments, her expression softened just a little.

"I think that's where we meet," she said. "Science can't explain why two people feel drawn to one another, or why loss reshapes us, or why some moments stay with us long after they've passed. But it can remind us that those moments are finite. Precious because they end."

She nodded slowly at his view of choice and adversity.

"That's something I believe as well. The galaxy doesn't promise fairness. It only offers a possibility. What matters is how we respond when things break, when plans fail, when people leave or die." A pause, gentle but sincere. "That's where meaning is made."

She leaned back slightly, not withdrawing but settling into the conversation, the quiet intimacy of it.

"You see the galaxy clearly," she said. "Not romantically, not cynically. Honestly. And I think that's why this place spoke to you, even if you didn't realize it at first." Her lips curved into a small, genuine smile. "And maybe why you came back."

She lifted her cup in a subtle, almost ceremonial gesture. "To curiosity," she said quietly. "And to choosing what we do with the time we're given."

Delvin sat there and listened to nitya speak as he looked at her and took in her voice and how comfortable she was speaking about this subject he took in her mannerisms and how she spoke. She had alot to say about the subjects views she was right naturally.

"The great mystery of the universe is the force science can't explain it and jedi have explained it but how much do we really know about it. Does it have a beginning does it have an end it permeates all living things even granting a few powers great powers but also dark powers" he said sitting there before he sipped his tea.

As he looked at her glowing eyes they held a beauty to them and expressed her emotions well. "But for all its mysteries it offers little in answers mostly giving more questions as a scientist it's a little frustrating" he said sitting there. Enjoying the simplicity of her home and the simplicity of the way she lived.

"How we deal with what life gives us makes us who we are and molds our decisions going forward for sure" he watched her and smiled. "Perhaps that is definitely why I was drawn back" he said with an air of certainty in his voice as he looked at her. He had found his thoughts where focused on her when he was gone in his lab he couldn't explain it and he hadn't any experience with the sensation.

"To the curiosity" he said as he leaned in and kissed her a passionate kiss his hand touched her arm as he kissed her for a few moments before he pulled away and looked into her eyes with his own purple eyes the color of purple diamonds before he leaned back into his chair awaiting to see what she did.

Nitya didn't hesitate when he leaned in.

The kiss met her halfway, quiet composure giving way to something warmer and more immediate as her lips met his with equal intent. Her hand rose to his arm, where he touched her, fingers curling there with quiet certainty, grounding rather than clinging. The moment was unhurried, unguarded, and when she finally drew back, it was only far enough to breathe him in, her forehead resting briefly against his.

Her golden eyes lingered on his face, then on his eyes.

"They're beautiful," she said softly, not as flattery but as simple truth. "That shade of purple… it reminds me of something I used to be."

She didn't look away as she spoke, her thumb brushing lightly along his arm.

"Before my Zorren trials, my eyes were violet. Not like this," she gestured faintly to the gold that now glowed in the low light, "but close. Seeing yours feels… familiar. Like a memory I didn't know I still carried."

There was no sadness in her expression, only recognition.

She leaned in again, this time slower, brushing her nose against his before pressing another kiss to his lips, just as deliberate, just as mutual. When she pulled back, her smile was small but unmistakably sincere.

"You're right," she said quietly. "The Force doesn't offer answers easily. It asks us to live with uncertainty. To choose meaning anyway."

She settled back beside him, close enough that their shoulders still touched, her presence calm and assured.

"And tonight," she added, eyes warm as they met his again, "I'm glad we chose curiosity."
