Golden eyes glanced over to Gerwald as he nodded and a slight smile curved a corner of her lips. The woman heard the others begin to converse amongst themselves and a simple sigh caressed her lips noting that she of course was not apart of the conversations. Then as she focused upon the Nexu in front of her, hesitant bare steps carried her over to the Nexu and she appraised the beast before her when Gerwald talked about riding them. Redd also listened as someone added a bonus of drinks and an upgraded room. Quietly she knelt down before the Nexu and reached a hand out to the beast to sniff. It tried to take a nip, but the woman growled at the beast and used the force to calm the animal but projecting not images but feelings of calm. Slowly a pale hand reached out to scratch the beast under its chin before she rose only to make her way towards the animal’s belly. Quietly she rubbed it for a moment; it was a gentle reminder for the beast that Redd was the dominant one here. An exposed belly meant that she could disembowel the animal if she wished to.

“You’re just another beast here in a world that you don’t understand either.” She muttered mostly to herself as her gaze noted the quills, claws, teeth and even the four red eyes. She knew nothing of it, knew nothing of its capabilities, but what she did know was that the Nexu was a predator much like herself. Much like herself, it knew mostly that of killing, not that she could really determine what its life had been like. “I’m with you buddy, my pack is very much different from what I know and I guess they lean more towards their own." The wolf listened as the beast rumbled in response almost in protest. "I too feel your pain, a predator has no business riding another predator. It is not right.” A hum rumbled along her lips as she trailed her hand back up to the Nexu’s head. Quietly she commanded him to roll over and stand.

As it did so, golden eyes looked into red ones in a quiet warning before she slowly appraised the animal, committing it to memory. The quills were a great defense, and the four eyes would probably see more than two. Its wide mouth reminded her of a snake and she wondered if it could unhinge it's jaw to swallow its prey much like a snake, but either way, it’s grasp would mean that it would be hard to pull away from. Slowly she circled the beast as it shifted under her gaze and she noted the tail with interest. It was split and was odd to her, but she bet that if she showed the Nexu who she was then it would be very much confused. Although even as she thought this, she figured that even her scent must smell a little off to the other beast.

Quietly she glanced over at the other who had run away from the beast and instead decided to try something a little different. Although the Nexu wasn’t as big as the other two, it also meant that it was quicker in nature. “Hey! Man who runs! Would you like to face up to your fears?” Redd challenged Vyse as golden eyes briefly locked eyes with him, challenging him to the task that she had in mind. As she slowly walked back around the beast, it almost seemed as if she was quietly talking to the other predator, all the while imposing her own domineering aura upon the beast. After all, predators had a habit of only respecting dominance. Although in this case they were natural enemies that had no business being upon each other's backs. In fact, Redd didn’t care for the bet; didn’t care for upgrades or drinks. It seemed like a trivial thing. Even she herself wouldn’t appreciate anyone upon her back, it was just down right insulting. Fingers scratched at the beast’s chin and even massaged around its eyes in quiet contemplation, although she kept the force focused upon it, she was quietly developing and showing images of what she’d like the beast to do.

With each image communicated, the beast almost growled in disgust and a growl of her own rumbled from the woman in warning to the beast.

Dib'eor'nuruodo

Aristocra of Rhigar
The ancient chiss stood in the shadows afforded by the great stands of the arena. The chalky complexion bore only a trace of azul hue, age stripping away his pigmentation of skin, hair, and eye. The black robes draped over his angular body, the padding making it difficult to tell if he was only skin and bone or if there was substance hidden beneath. Behind him, deeper in the shadowed recesses, were Barron and Braydon who stood motionless. Except for the crimson eyes that flickered over everything in sight.

The arena was relatively empty, the Aegis personnel making room for the training exercise. Dib’eor’nuruodo merely watched with the patience of desert sand carving away the face of a cliff. It took a great deal of time and restraint combined with an indomitable perseverance to enact change, yet it could be done. And this was a small catalyst that would aid his liege-lord.

An Aegis trooper was walking by, most likely off duty, as Dib’eor’nuruodo held a slightly shaking palm up, stopping the young man. His other hand dipped under the red sash and pulled out a scroll, unhackable primitive technology, and extended it to the young officer.

“Give this to the large one out there. Now.”

His words brooked not hesitation nor pause in action. Quickly the trooper scurried across the arena to extend the scroll forward. Upon unrolling and reading it would simply state this.

“Ryloth is under imminent threat. An attack is impending. Immediate action must be taken to ensure calamity and devastation does not occur.

This warning is not given lightly. Great danger comes with this warning. Remember the debt owed by this act of Confederate Patriotism, a debt I will collect shortly.
Viceroy of the Siskeen System,
Derek Dib”

Dib’eor’nuruodo nodded silently and turned, the trio disappearing into the darkness as they departed. Another move on the board completed and, soon, the true scope would be revealed.

But not yet.

Vyse nodded his head as the colossal aristocrat spoke. Vyse taking careful heed his advise. After all, this was his new life he needed to learn fast. His eyes instinctively widen for a moment as he heard his offer, special living arrangements on top gathering influence with the higher ups here? Regardless of Vyse's lack of experience he was determined to try the best of his limited abilities to see it done.

As he opened his mouth to speak, he was swiftly interrupted by the strange women whom spoke a challenge to him. He paused, considering his reply to the taunt before settling it on being action, his focus going to his own beast. He lucked into this life and he was not going to sit aside and simply fail regardless of his lack of training. Pausing a moment to address Taramaz "Thank you for the advise my lord, I shall use it." He then turned back, his eyes locked onto the horned Reek before with determination.

He took a deep breath, gathering all his focus as he tried to tap consciously into a power he had never actively used before. It had simply come to him when he needed it most. Well, now was time to change that. He leaned down by the Reek, all his focused on it as he tried to use whatever powers he had, to will it to activate. He reached forward petting under the horned beast chin as it was still in a daze, the sight of this dangerous creature so docile calming Vyse enough to bring a slight smile. Maybe it wouldn't be so hard? "Alright. . . Now let's try and get you up." He didn't exactly know how to go about, but he continued his focus, keeping his hand on it as he forced his will onto the creature, trying to make his command known. And soon enough, the breast seemed to understand his wish, slowly standing back up as Vyse smile grew into a grin.

He kept on slowly petting it's neck as the Reek huffed a deep breath. Locking eyes with it as he made his wish clear as before, and the beast complied, kneeling down, The beast happy to comply after the Lords assistance moments prior. Quickly climbing up and mounting it, and having to quickly grab onto it's horn as it quickly stood straight once he was on. "Very good! Now. . ." Now connected with the beast, his will made clear to it, the creature started racing forward around the arena.
