OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Media Name: Takaue-chi
  • Format: Hologram Recording
  • Distribution: Planetary
  • Length: Short
  • Description: A concise, authoritative holographic guide commissioned by the Atrisian Commonwealth. Its purpose is to provide offworld visitors with a foundational understanding of the tripartite nature of Atrisian honor, thereby preventing cultural misunderstandings and fostering respectful interaction. The recording features Io Murasaki, a respected cultural custodian, who explains the concepts with clarity and gravitas.
SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Author: Io Murasaki
  • Publisher: Atrisian Commonwealth
  • Reception:
    • Domestic: Widely praised by the Atrisian public for its elegant and accurate distillation of their core values. It is seen as a dignified response to centuries of foreign misinterpretation.
    • External: Considered an indispensable resource by diplomats, merchants, and scholars visiting Atrisia. While some offworlders find the concepts of Myobo and Yugao challenging, the guide is credited with a significant decrease in serious cultural offenses by visitors.
FORMAT INFORMATION
The Takaue-chi is distributed on small, elegantly designed hologram pucks, similar in size to those used for bounty postings but crafted from polished lacquerwood and etched with the Imperial seal. When activated, it projects a life-sized, semi-transparent hologram of Io Murasaki. She is seated in a serene, minimalist chamber, perhaps within the Imperial Palace. Her delivery is calm, measured, and direct, making eye contact with the viewer as if speaking to them alone. The presentation is intentionally stripped of sensationalism, focusing entirely on the weight and meaning of her words.

CONTENT INFORMATION
"To understand Atrisia, you must understand that for us, honor is not a set of rules. It is the courage required to live by one's convictions. We do not see these paths as easy; we see them as necessary. To uphold one's beliefs is the very essence of a life that matters."

1. Momozona ("Peach Garden" Honor)
  • Core Concept: The Honor of Concrete Virtue. This is the path of the active citizen, whose beliefs are made manifest through unwavering action.
  • Io's Explanation: "Momozona is the blade that defends the helpless and the word that speaks only truth. It is not enough to feel virtue; one must become it. Your promise is your identity, and to break it is to break yourself. This path holds that true strength exists to uphold the weak, and that wrath, when righteously wielded, exists solely to undo the wicked. It is a life of continuous, courageous action in the service of the community."
  • Societal Role: The foundation of social trust. A person of Momozona is seen as a pillar of their community because their inner virtue is consistently reflected in their outer deeds.
2. Myobo ("Register of Names" Honor)
  • Core Concept: The Honor of Enduring Duty. This is the path of those who understand that a meaningful life requires bearing the weight of difficult choices, and that death is often simpler than living with the consequences of one's duty.
  • Io's Explanation: "Myobo is the path of the soldier who carries the trauma of battle, the parent who sacrifices for their child's future, and the official who makes a devastating choice to save their nation. It recognizes that living with the consequences of one's necessary actions takes far more courage than seeking an easy death. You cannot undo what must be done; you can only bear it for a cause greater than yourself. This honor is the steel spine of our Empire, built by those who wield their authority not for themselves, but to shape a safer era for all."
  • Societal Role: Provides the ethical framework for the military, government, and family structures. It sanctifies the burden of command and the sacrifice of personal comfort for the collective future.
3. Yugao ("Moonflower" Honor)
  • Core Concept: The Honor of Unshackled Conviction. This is the most demanding path, representing a state where one's actions are so aligned with their core beliefs that they are freed from the paralysis of regret, hatred, or external judgment.
  • Io's Explanation (with solemn gravity): "Yugao is not an absence of morality, but a transcendence of it. Those who walk this path understand that new eras are not created by swords, but by the unwavering will of the people who wield them. They have moved beyond the futile struggle with the unchangeable; they do not waste their spirit raging against what cannot be undone, like the finality of death. For them, a belief that cannot be upheld is a worthless belief. They act with a clarity that seems cold, because their conviction is absolute. They have become the instrument of their own will, where the ultimate pathetic state is not death, but a failure to live by one's own truth."
  • Societal Role: A philosophical and spiritual ideal for masters, mystics, and elite guardians. It represents the pinnacle of personal resolve, where action and identity are one.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Takaue-chi was born from the "Jishi Erra," a period where Atrisia sought to confidently re-assert its identity aafter occupation and attack. The Empress tasked Io Murasaki with this project to combat the shallow, often violent stereotypes of Atrisian honor. The guide's profound power lies in its reframing: it presents Atrisian honor not as a rigid code of combat, but as a sophisticated philosophy of action, resilience, and conviction. It argues that the true strength of Atrisia is not in its weapons, but in the courage of its people to live by these principles, to wield them to shape their world, and to bear the immense weight that such a life entails. It is a declaration that Atrisian culture is built not on a desire for glory, but on the unwavering courage to live out one's beliefs, no matter the cost.

Real quick, your link for Io Murasaki takes me to a imgur gif, but if this is a character or someone you have subbed can you link the sub. If it is not, can you find the gif elsewhere and then link it in image credit for me.

Once that is done we should be good to go here.
