- Explosive: Delivers quite a devastating punishment for those hit bust such a round, easily able to penertrate most standard infantry armor.
- Massive Kick Back: Due to it's size and speed at which fired such round carry a large amount of kick back to them, which is problematic for accurate fire the weapon from which is shot from is not properly secured.
In a sense a Bolt is a a bolt is self-propelled slulg with its own integrated solid fuel propellant that propels the bolt at high speeds.To prevent warping of the barrel from which it is fired the shell contains the Bolter uses a two-stage method, first having the traditional round fired using a propellant which also kicks of the fuse at the exact time it leaves the barrel, continuing into the target at it's own power. Said ammunition utilities a mass-reactive fuse, designed to penetrate the target before detonating, mainly to by pass armor before delivering the explosive pay load.
Reasoning for producing such round was to combine the fire power of a standard slug that is usesd by the principality with the ability to act in a small anti-armor role/ grenade launcher. Such a powerful round has thus been designated to only heavy/vehicle mounted weapons as the kick back from such a round would be similar to rapid firing a grenade launcher.
