SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Aerosol applicator to repair abrasions and breaks in synthskin covering.
STRENGTHS
  • Cover Up. Easy applicator masks breaks in synthskin coverage with a few side-to-side, overlapping sprays.
WEAKNESSES
  • Limited Area of Coverage. This can paint over a skinned elbow, not spray new skin onto a cyborg arm that's been taken down to bare metal.
DESCRIPTION
Synthspray was an aerosol synthskin repair applicator that was produced by Locke and Key Mechanics. As most common forms of synthskin were incapable of self-repair in the same manner as actual skin, common forms of damage -- such as abrasions or lacerations -- could be problematic for those who relied on synthskin to cover cybernetics that were intended to appear natural. Synthspray supplied a remedy for this common dilemma that extended periods a cyborg could go between replacing the synthskin covering entirely.

Synthspray used a solution of synthskin and silicax oxalate suspended in a solution of stericlean. Using overlapping, side-to-side applications of the spray, the cyborg could apply a layer of synthskin over the affected area. Synthspray was available in a variety of colors and tones, so that the user could match the cover up to their synthskin cover.

Synthspray was merely a tool for masking damage or filling in minor breaks in the synthskin cover and did not repair any actual damage. It was also only intended for minor cuts or breaks in a limited area of a limb in which the synthskin covering was still largely intact. For larger areas of damage or cases in which there was inadequate synthskin remaining for the spray to bond with, a complete synthskin replacement would be required.
