I rose an inquisitive brow as he remarked on me suggesting something that would make me look like a mad scientist. I had no idea of what that could be. A filthy lab coat perhaps? Or a wild head of hair? Perhaps even a maniacal laughter with an addiction to electricity? All of those are common stereotypes, I suppose.

I Managed to eat most of my meal before he took my plate away. At least the portion size was not very big.

He then asked me to pose some questions upon him. No one had ever really asked me that before. Or at the very least not outside of school. It is but another thing that is outside of the element that I am used to. I do not often think outside of the box. Or even inside of the box. I believe that I tend to think inside of a bubble instead. A most wonderful and safe little bubble with little to no risk at all.

"
I am not entirely sure of what I could ask. And being crazy is not something that I associate with. I am not often around other people these days." But I had to ask something. I could not even pretend to be good at this. "What is your favorite book?"

If the cyborg knew what creatures Liin had in her lab, he might think she actually was a mad scientist. But for now, the cyborg believed she was "inside the bubble" enough that she wasn't doing anything that would create a mob at her lab's doorstep. But as he washed the dishes, Saul's mind couldn't help but wonder what she was actually working on.

Her comments made him smirk as he labored away at the sink. "I mean, some people who call trying to replicate something recurring naturally in the body as unholy, but I get what you are saying." He didn't doubt her experiments were well-meaning, but that wouldn't help if some government wanted to use her work for something horrible. "As for books, if you don't count the tech manuals, I do like fantasy and sci-fi. Sometimes I dabble in romance too, if I'm feeling it. My favorite book is a fantasy novel where a boy has to live up to his father, an Emperor, shadow amid a hostile court. It's a pretty interesting read.

As he finished up, he turned to her with a smile. "Did you want to order something for dessert, or do you want a break from me and my babbling?" He wouldn't blame her if the answer was yes. The Cyborg knew he was a handful. He wouldn't blame Liin if she wanted a break from him.

Some could say that having droid augmentations or replacement parts was also something unnatural and unholy. But I digress. I suppose that it only matters to certain points of view as to whether something is good or bad.

I nod my head as he responds to my question. And I must say that his answers are not entirely surprising. Although I cannot say that I recognize the book that he says he is reading. But that is to be expected from one like myself that does not read fiction. "
I am sure that the politics of a royal court is similar to a political one. Neither of which live up to their hype." Holding no voice at all amongst political and business circles; even while hosting such events was rather eye opening and disheartening. Instead of being involved I was treated like nothing more than a decoration of the hall and regarded with very little. Even the words that I spoke would be ignored to the point where it was no different than if I had not said anything at all. I had nothing to offer them all that they did not already have.

At the suggestion of dessert, I politely shook my head. "
I am rather too full for any dessert. And I do believe that it is best if I retire for the evening. It has been quite an eventful day." That is a little besides the point. Today turned out not as expected. And it certainly lasted for longer than I had anticipated. I am not used to being around anyone for so long. Most especially in my own residence. Even back on New Cov I would often be by myself when I was not in my laboratory or in any meetings. My residences were my safe havens and safe places of solitude to recharge after being constantly around others.

I only hope that he does not take offence to that.

What could he say? Life was coated in various shades of gray that no one could fully comprehend. At least the plates in his hands were sparkly clean as he put them in the drying rack. Her comment made him chuckle as he dried his hands. Guessing her mind as Liin looked out the window, looking like she was a million miles away. He walked over, standing a respectable distance away as he said. "Well, you matter a lot in my court of opinion.." And he definitely meant in a way more than just a pin-up girl in his mind. Though she wouldn't make a bad one...

Saul gave a small nod with a half smile. This probably was a big change from her past, having someone hover around her, wanting to talk to her. He could see her body sag abit as the first signs exaustion draped over her. "And here I thought you would have enough sleep after your nap. I guess not everyone can have my endless energy. I'll let you get some sleep. You have my comm number if you need me." Giving her a wave goodnight, he walked backwards toward the door, opening it up and slipping out the door. As he exited the build, he hoped despite some misreading on his part with the unwanted kiss on the cheek and his high energy, he been a good enough guest to justify Liin inviting him back. Till then, he would keep his communicater on, looking out for her call.
