SWRP Apprentice: Challenge 1

Vitor sat at a table. The news had hit him pretty hard, but he didn't really want to ponder over it right now. What was important was ensuring that Emeritus ended up in the hands of the right person - hence the reason Vitor now was holding a competition to determine who would gain control of the company.

Challenge 1:

A simple 5 question quiz. Send your answers to me via PM.

1: You are approached by the head of a faction of questionable power, offering you untold opportunity if you defect from your current position - currently quite stable, albeit not providing you much in the way of business. What do you do?

2: Your secretary persuades you to engage in a one night stand. They(or you, depending on gender) become pregnant, and they threaten to destroy your professional career unless you do as they say. What do you do?

3: A large multi-faction corporation feel slighted by you and states they intend to destroy everything you own. What do you do?

4: A faction you've worked with for an extended period of time, providing with ships and the like, decides to turn on you and attempt to raze your factories to the ground, trying to steal your blueprints and tooling so they can manufacture your equipment for themselves. What do you do?

5: Things begin to get too heated in a thread from an IC perspective. You suspect that the reason the other individual is responding the way they are is due to something non-IC. What do you do?

1 - the company is already running smoothly so I would simply turn down that offer because I know where my loyalties lie.

2 - firstly I would notified my wife with grate guilt at the sin I had commited. Secondly I would find out what it was exactly they wanted me to do recording the conversation. (As evidence ) then I'd turn then in to the local authorities for blackmail. ( if they had a weapon I'd force pursuade them if that is also an option.)

3 - use the contacts I have gained running the stable company and see if they would offer assistance in the defence. If notified I would transport all stock to a new location before the attack and fill the containers full of gizaks.

4 - I'd destroy the digital copies of the blue prints so the could not be accessed by a slicer. Then attempt to transport as much of the goods I can to a second location. In that time I would offer my service's to a government with less corruption if they helped me protect the company assets. Thus gaining stability if they accept. Failing that I'd purchase 3 new locations in secret from the profits to once more keep production rolling till I had gained the necessary support.

5 - try to settle the situation in pm (under my new outh without arguing back if they begin to offend me) if that fails I would kindly ask an rpj to step in and help with the situation.

1 - I would turn them down but offer them a chance for more business and what help they need in their endeavor
2 - That would be unfortunate and strange given my assistant is my lovely Hanna. I have complete faith in her to only order me around for important things.
3 - If they can't be reasoned with, then avoid the petty fight and let them puff their chests. I can rebuild and work on things or just continue enjoying what I can do with the company and avoid the petty bs.
4 - A though one, on the one hand you did sell it to them but on the other... it is your subs and you can always bypass the drama of people being petty. Salvage them into a new piece of equipment so the old subs are no longer able to be used and have improved subs. The factories can be rebuilt and expanded upon in other systems. Away from drama and problems.
5 - First step is talk to them and if that is not working contact an rpj or admin for support

After reviewing the messages, Vitor gave a nod.

"Alright. The winners may move on. The losers..." He pressed a button, recording a quick holomessage. "Miss [member="Matsu Ike"] and [member="Sanya Val Swift"]. The message was supposed to be submitted privately. This was a test as to whether or not one could follow basic instructions, and with no disrespect, you failed. As such, you're eliminated from the competition."

The rest of you will be moving on to challenge 2.
