The Hive
Structure. Permanence and Connection.
Seeders, Workers, Gatherers, Engineeers.
You build, you gather, you bring a connection where there was only void. You work tirelessly with no rest and thought other than seeding and hiving new worlds.

Character Ideas: Unconscious Drones, Infecting Creatures etc. Mostly NPCs but PCs can work.

The Swarm
Unconsciousness. A greater swarm Collective Will. Integration into the Biosphere. Massed activity within a larger collective identity.

You are the Swarm. Where you look, it does. Where it looks, you do. You sense more than any the intricate details of a million minds brought together as one. Insect and man are the same, they are life. Dead metal lacks song, it lacks voice and harmony. Cities are deserts that burn the worlds they stand upon.

Character Ideas: Heavily Integrated characters. Force Mind Specialists. Herd Creatures or Empathic Individuals. Enemies of metal and machine.

Surge Impulse
Building Pressure. Surge Growth, Clearing the way like a forest fire for new growth. Attack. Destroy. Purge.
You are the Surge. Impulse and drive to feed and consume. To feast on what lays in the way. Impulse becomes drive and focus. You follow the surges, and perhaps even influence their magnitude or direction

Character Ideas: Surge Generals, Commanders, Soldiers, Predators Bred for Battle

Pure Swarm Will
Experience. Purity. A Battle against wildgrowth mutation to refine genomes and DNA to perfection. You shape the Swarm. You are the hand behind the scenes guiding the mutation. The gardener and the Keeper of Worlds. You are eternal. When all else perishes, burned away consumed, your experience remains, perfecting itself as you perfect the world around you.

Ideas: Swarm Scientists, Scholars, Biological Cylons that are reborn.

Wildgrowth
The wake and aftereffects of a swarm on a biosphere. Fast mutation at the fringes of the hive's conscious mind. Rapid growth, the battle within nature begins. You are unpredictable, wild and untamed. None can hold you back, you fight around the hive. You fight for your right to live. There is no order to your world, you see only chaos, life, and death, the balance between worlds is your domain.

Ideas: Wild Witches. Wild Animals, Wildgrowth. Mutation. Chaos. Space Monsters.

Stage 2 Consciousness Designs
Early Stage After effects. Being designed now. The SwarmSurge is not at stage 2 yet.
Willing to work on the concepts with interested writers for later.

Darkgrowth
Force Dead. In a few places, a blackness in wake around wildgrowth exists. The force pulling back in an attempt to stabilize the impact a larger hive has. To deprive it of life. It is also what happens when wildgrowth meets forcegrowth head on. Chaos. Death.

You are only death and decay. Sitting in the wake of something charred and burned in the force, yet still living somehow. A hollow shell of a memory that once was. You are hollow and yet alive. You will not die, because you are death given form. Echos. Illusions. Dead men and women walking.

Ideas: Force Dead Creatures and Individuals, Illusions and Shadow, Solitary Death and Decay, Force Vampires, Other infected individuals

Forcegrowth
Rare occurrence. You are the force pooling at the sides of the dead zones. A barrier to ALL. Any that stand within your wake are to be annihilated. Ripped to pieces. Slowly you push against the tide or are pushed back in turn. You are not to be reasoned with or hear the call of man, metal or swarm. Part of the seasons of the greater consciousness, a reactionary effect.

While all burn within your sight. Forcegrowth is especially focused around wildgrowth far removed from the actual hive. Whereas Wildgrowth is raw chaos, forcegrowth is purifying ferocious energy. The two don't get on.

Ideas: Purifying Characters. Zealots. You are not nature, you are nature turned up to 11. Man, beast, hive, metal, all are cleansed equally. ESPECIALLY wildgrowth.

Others Ideas:

*Infected Spacers and Fleets Welcome. Driven mad by infection.
*Pirates trying to stay ahead of the Swarm or cause general chaos welcome.
*Independent ship captains shooting bugs welcome.
