• Patrol Ship: The Suru Class is a repurposed vessel intended to defend the borders of the Commonwealth. With overpowered engines for a ship of its size, and a well rounded assortment of weaponry and hangar capacity, the Suru Class is able to tackle most threats it comes across.

• Repurposed: The Suru Class, like most modern Seoul produced vessels, are not purpose made warships. The Suru Class began as cargo freighter ship, but the needs of the Commonwealth saw the class pressed into military service. Only so many changes could be made to the original design, and the Suru Class the firepower of many other modern frigates.

DESCRIPTION
The Dosuunian Commonwealth of Nations was founded on the principle of mutual security, and mutual defense. The threat of the Eternal Empire at their doorstep, and the far too close nature of the Brotherhood of the Maw saw the various systems that now make up the Commonwealth unite. Every available ship was scraped together to form a unified fleet, but as final preparations were being made to mount the defense of their home, the threats they faced vanished. The Suru Class, however, is a lasting testament to those desperate times.

Produced by the world of Seoul V, the Suru Class was originally a long range cargo freighter transporting Seoul goods to other nearby worlds. As the dangers of the galaxy began to close in on the Commonwealth, which Seoul V was a founding member, the external borders of the nation were closed. Without the greater need of mass cargo transport to the rest of the galaxy, the Suru Class was selected as one of many civilian ship lines to be retrofitted to answer to call to arms. Now, as the Commonwealth turns its focus to modernizing its navy, the Suru Class has been deployed in ever greater numbers as a stopgap vessel to patrol and defend the borders of the Commonwealth.
