Faction Sunny days, Repulsorlifts and dwelling on them (RNR, Open)

So, Michael's family was also military. Seems they had something in common. "I know the military part. Those traditions run deep amongst my people. That's why I joined the military academy when I turned twelve."

Was Echo expecting something bad too happen? Just the way she said the last part seemed a little...ominous. Sure this place had been abandoned for some time, but that could have been for many reasons, not all of them bad. Her internal rambling was cut off by Michael's verbal rambling. "So a sanctuary for those who seek it? Cause a sanctuary could be different for each person."

I just think that this is a place for people that need to come together. Maybe it is a “Sanctuary” in every sense of the word, you know?
"So a sanctuary for those who seek it? Cause a sanctuary could be different for each person."

"Nothing to overthink," Echo assured. "Just some of my own musings. This place has a complicated history. We cannot assume all can be seen clear as day."

Echo gave the notion a dismissive handwave. It wasn't really a big issue at the current moment. After all, the temple had been dormant for some time now. Left to be reclaimed by the world around it. If it had been long undisturbed it was surely not in a rush to reveal it's secrets within. A slow burn.

It made the research all the more exciting.

"But...perhaps if any abnormal occurrences are observed," she continued, "Report them to me in the archives."

Yes, I AM my father's son, proud of it too.

Journal Entry:

This was a bad time for me to grab a sip of water.

I ALMOST CHOKED ON THAT WATER! Of course I spit it out… all over “Bred”, who I didn’t see until the last second. I’m going to pay for that later. Military at 12??? She: “turned 12”???? I couldn’t hide my surprise. I have to admit.

You were in the military? Wait, that sounds weird. IT IS! SHE’S… wait… Man, I suck and guessing age… I thought you were like 8.

Echo just blew the whole thing off? Weird! It’s like she has the tone of a damp sponge, but has the personality of a… wet sponge? No, that’s not right? She’s a walking quandary. I think that’s pretty cool.

You are an interesting conversation, and I mean that in the best possible way.

No, I’m not a dork at all.

Eerie raised an eyebrow at Michael when he spit water all over his droid. His sudden, but quick, look of surprise at the fact that she was in a military academy. Wasn't that normal for some places? Michael himself said that he came from a military family, so why....

Then he said it. His surprise was less the military part, but her age. He thought she was... "Eight? You thought I was eight?" Her small fists balled up for a moment as her brow furrowed in frustration. She climbed up onto a crate sitting near them till she was eye level with the teen. "Look, I'm small, not young. Too many people mistake me for being younger than I am and think I can't hold my own. But eight is just a little too much." She folded her arms across her chest to try and get the message across that she was tired of it.

Was yelling at the poor older teen necessary? Well no, it wasn't. Was she tired of being mistaken for a youngling and having people underestimating her? Absolutely. Would she feel bad about it later and apologize? Probably.

Her multicolored eyes gave a sideways glance towards Echo. She then wondered if this is what the woman would call an abnormal occurrence. If so, then congratulations Eerie, you're now falling under the category of abnormal.
