DESCRIPTION
To follow the current project of Sudoka Industries to make new venues of computing power, this takes along the lines of professional use over personal use -- or at least, stationary over mobile. This UniSense™ Projection Bar is intended as the multimedia hub for a stationary terminal. It has mounting areas to be attached to a processing centre, a slot to insert specialised displays designed for use with this device, and audio and video in/outputs for use with either the intended terminals or other methods of channeling audio and video.
In a terminal computer, its primary and only practical use, this component would likely be the most power-consuming, since it generates both the audio and video user interfaces. Though the technology within is still smaller and therefore less prone to huge power consumption, its very nature causes it to use a fair portion of energy. It can be used standalone (though this is not recommended), as a kind of projector by itself, but any image displayed would be an incomprehensible line, making it merely perhaps a useful toy at a party for playing music and displaying colours on the ceiling.
The Projection Bar could be considered arguably outdated technology, as it still requires a surface for the image to adhere to in order to make an understandable image, however the technology that is built around it allows for it to be an interesting utility piece, despite its off-the-norm design.
