Culture: Sucellus has a culture that has been influenced by the presence of varied immigrant species that have sought out Sucellus over the years. Emphasis on personal freedoms is valued highly within the planet, with citizens normally abiding by customs so long as they do not harm others. Citizens are slow to take offense to topics and ideas, preferring to debate them instead or learn more. Diplomacy and education are highly valued on Sucellus.
Educational services are free to all Sucellus residents, with children attending primary schools before advancing to specialized preparatory academies upon reaching their early teenage years. The educational pinnacle of Sucellus is the University of Rhea, located in the mountainous city of the same name. The University is home to top-notch diplomatic and foreign service programs.
While civil unrest, fighting and war are near unheard of on Sucellus, a military base was commissioned by leaders during the Gulag plague. Soldiers originally kept peace
and distributed supplies during the dark times. In modern times, soldiers maintain their service commitment of yore, but also train for planetary defense. It would be against the nature of the citizens to attack.
There are few planet wide holidays on Sucellus. Various festivals and feasts are celebrated instead. Traditionally all Sucellusans return to their familial homes during the majors feasts to celebrate, causing the more suburban and rural areas to fluctuate in population during these times.
Technology: Sucellus is on par with a technology level that would be found in the Core. Due to its far out location, up-to-date "hot" and current technology is delayed on reaching the planet for a number of months. Sucellus even boasts the HALCYON train system, allowing citizens to travel quickly and cheaply. Tribes containing some traditional Felucians will eschew some technology in favor of "old ways". Their technology is lacking and considered backwater by the technical standard set by the Core.
History: First discovered in 25 ABY by scouts, Sucellus was slow to populate. The beginnings of the planet started as a small town in which workers in the timber industry lived. As skirmishes grew throughout the galaxy, families of the timber workers slowly joined their relatives on the planet, seeking a quieter life. Corporations controlling the timber industry saw the appeal and soon added various operations to Sucellus, allowing for further immigration.
Slowly the planet advanced throughout the years in both technology and population, but the population never reached the great heights of some planets. Outside cities and towns remained very rural, allowing for Felucians seeking a more traditional life to set up in the forests and continue their agricultural practices. Many also joined the wood product industry that flourished far from the main cities and towns.
As the planet grew, a government formed between the citizens of the planet, representatives for each area of Sucellus were chosen to be the leaders and voice for their people. Under a unified government and out of corporate rule, Sucellus focused on infrastructure and making their planet better for those involved. Taxes from the timber and ore industries help make Sucellus one of the most technologically advanced in the Tingel Arm.
By the time the Gulag plague arrived the planet was flourishing. Due to death and disease, progress slowed and the timber and ore industries came to a near grinding halt. With the disease under control once more, Sucellus looks to the future.

Intent: To create a "Alderaan" type world for the Levantine Sanctum. In addition, it would be a new homeworld for this character and several others. Various resources in place also allow for excellent RP opportunities and the faction as a whole.
