Subjugation of Kalee [Krag]

Other Space Kaiden

Better than other-other space Kaiden
Kalee, one of the newer editions to the Sith Empire and one of the very few planets Krag enjoyed for the climate. Finding a world in Sith space that Krag enjoyed was like a little girl trying to find the perfect bowl of Luau in a Wookie den. "This one is too hot, this one is too cold" but Kalee was just right. Vast jungles, check. Tropical climate, also check. Swamps? Double check! It was like the perfect planet to colonize just fell into his lap and he would be a fool to pass it over. Lord Kaine, the Sith who ruled over the sector in which Kalee sat, had given him the permission he required to take over the planet without facing repercussions. However, Krag may have neglected to mention the full extent of the planed take-over to his "boss", oopsy daisies. What was a few hundred thousand Graug anyway? No one would notice, they would be like that roommate that you know is there but stays creepily quiet in his dark room.

Besides, as far as Krag was concerned, the Sith owed his people for fighting by their side and he planned on taking Kalee, even if Lord Kaine had said no. He hadn't said no though and that came with conditions that Krag had to follow, the most important being that any atrocities or war crimes committed be contained so that word of their happening did not spread outside of the system. All in all, that task was not too difficult to complete thanks to the cooperation of the Huk on Abbaji. The vile insects were still shaken up by the Imperial slaughter of their armies on Kalee and were all too happy to agree to Krag's terms. In exchange for leaving their colony in peace, the Huk would shutdown all communications equipment and halt all travel to and from Abbaji for the duration of Krag's invasion of Kalee. Anyone who cared enough to look into the incident would find only claims by the Huk government that serious terrorist threats and attacks have caused an immediate shutdown of the government and a temporary blockade until the threats were thoroughly investigated. That story would be enough to see that the invasion and genocide of the Kalee went unnoticed until after the invasion was over, at which point the Empire would claim that the Graug were sent to Kalee in response to a biological weapon that was unleashed on Kalee by the fake terrorist organization. It was universally known that the Graug were disease and plague resistant and so it would make complete sense why they would be sent to keep order and peace.

By the time anyone gathered any proof of mass-killings, the Graug would be firmly established on Kalee and the Empire could use the fabricated plague as a cover story for the large amount of the Kaleesh who died during the invasion. Sure there would be suspicions, especially after the Graug establish their colony, but the lack of hard evidence was what would matter in the months to come. If there were any glitches in the plan, Krag would deal with them when they arose, but for now he needed to assume his role as the High General of the Graug military as he lead a Graug Army of one-million soldiers. So many warriors for one planet may seem outrages to some, but to the Graug it was not even a fraction of their total standing army. All of Graug society, excluding the less numerous women, were soldiers and workers alike. After Kalee had been placed under Krag's boot, his soldiers could and would start building the underground cities that would serve as the main settlements of the Graug until late into the colonization and the planet had once again fallen into the darkness of the galactic stage.

The plan was simple, thanks to the simplicity of Kalee culture. The tribes had been united under a single government after the Imperial intervention, but there was still great political discourse among them. Krag would lead his forces into Kaleela and seize control of the central political structures while his men began the holocaust against the Kaleesh. As any colonist knows, the main threat to their survival is the indigenous population and the Kaleesh were definitely no exception. The first steps of the invasion would be to raze any large cities to the ground and annihilate their local population. While Krag was busy overseeing these vile acts, the fellow sith he has brought along will set a trap for any Kaleesh who escape at the temple of Shrupak. Once the natives saw the destructive power of the Graug, they would surly run to their most sacred place and once they got there, they would be captured and killed...maybe not in that order.

Krag, the massive beast that he was, stood tall on the bridge of the Imperial Tulak Hord that had been given to him for this mission. His reptilian eyes scanned the void of space, gracing the black hulls of the Graug War-Cry Frigates that hovered above Kalee. He smiled, a green slime dripping from his mouth as he thought of the battle to come. Soon, he would be bathing in more blood than he knew what to do with.

"Captain." Krag boomed to the ships XO, who he had transferred an understanding of the Graug tongue to "Send the signal for all ships to prepare their troops for deployment and prepare the communications array for my message."

A salute by the captain "Right away, lord Krag."

Balaya had come for two reason's one this was Lord Kaine's sector the Graug was just borrowing it and two because she wanted to know her competition. While this one didn't stay at the castle which was now rapidly filling up with others, he was one of the stronger sith knights. That meant much as her form loomed matching his in sheer size. She crossed her arms listening to the beast with her cloak over her armor just letting the barest strands of her hair show. For the most part this was all about genocide, they had no real rules of conduct now which would work in her favor. Th itch to horribly devastate people was strong while the slaugh prepared to board their ships.

"Do you have any special requests Lord Krag? Or are we just going to kill everything that moves and let the gods sort them out?" She let the smirk play on her lips. The well idea of violence was fun and from what was said of the Graug warriors it should be quite a sight to behold, one might even be stronger physically then her... Though it was thoughtful it they had as many weapon. Then she marched to head for the ship, if he wanted to have her attention he knew to call back for her. It wasn't like she was going anywhere.

Krag looked over his shoulder at the fellow knight that had come to assist him in his colonization of Kalee. @[member="Balaya"] was tall for a lesser, nearly a foot taller than Krag which was nothing special to the Graug, aside from the strange feeling of seeing a woman taller than him. On Gratos, the woman were never taller than the men and this Zeltron was the first woman, of any species so far, that Krag had seen to be taller than himself. The Graug snorted the air, then turned his attention back to the ball of green that hung in the void of space.

"Kaleesh no match for Graug. They weak, undisciplined...must die." Krag was speaking in basic now and, as it was known, his basic was anything but outstanding "Kill all in capital city, kill all that flee to Temple at Shrupak. After main invasion over, we take survivors to camps deep in jungle to be used as suicide labor." In short, the idea was to make room for a Graug nest and that meant killing the current inhabitants. If they wanted to, the Graug would simply hunt down and kill the Kaleesh without mercy or remorse and not worry about the trouble of putting them into camps. However, Graug saw the use in slavery and Krag saw no reason than to just work the survivors to death. If they were going to die, they might as well be useful up until their time comes.

As Balaya marched away, Krag turned on the intercom to deliver his message to the ships, speaking in the Graug tongue

"The time has finally come my warriors! For too long, the galaxy has disgraced our people with embargoes and blockades because they are scared! They are afraid that the Graug will lead a glorious campaign of conquest and show the gods that they are weak! Things have changed now! The Graug now has a powerful ally, an ally that recognizes our greatness! This planet, the one they call Kalee, shall be a second home to all of our species who consider themselves strong! A home to those who spit in the face of the nations who have disgraced out people! Here we shall grow! Here, we shall create a new Empire of the Graug that shall return to Gratos and overthrow those who have done nothing to further the advancement of the Graug! Why should those, who do not seek greater power, be allowed to rule? They should not! Fight well today and we will have proved ourselves as the most powerful Graug in the GALAXY!" Graug across all of the ships were surly be pounding their boots and sparring with one another now. Krag had grown tired of his mother, she promoted only weakness and Krag had only realized it after the ways of the Sith had freed his mind. With this new colony, this new home, he would grow his own Graug empire and return to his planet with an army strong enough to defeat his mother and bring strength back to the Graug.

With his message delivered, Krag turned to the droid "Sound the deployment alarms, the invasion begins immediately" Krag commanded, before marching to the shuttles with his fellow Sith Knight.

Juthan watched as the Graug shuttles left for the surface. He sent the Csilla's Legacy towards the surface, sending a transmission to the Sith Lord in charge of the operation. "Lord Krag, Captain Juth'An'Athar reporting in. I came to observe the proceedings that are to take place and provide my aid if you will accept it." He left the Transmission incase the Sith lord wished to reply. He reached over his shoulders and buckled the harness as he brought the shuttle down to the surface, interested in the coming actions of the Graug and the reaction of the Kaleesh. @[member="Krag"]

Waiting at the head of the ship, was him, Subject 637, The Black. He kneeled as his master entered the room, a new mask donned on his face, one a blood red coloration that now stared up at his enormous master. "What is thy bidding, my master?" He asked, venom and hatred running through his voice, not of her obviously, but for the Kaleesh below, they were weak and dared upset the Sith and by extension his master, a crime which they would die for, all of them. The mission was simple, inflict mass genocide on the people of Kalee, and enslave those that were spared his blade, so that they could die doing labour for the Empire. A fate he found fitting for such weaklings.

The transmission from the Imperial pilot, it was surprising that so many were here to fight alongside his people. However, Krag had doubt that they were here to simply assist Krag out of any feelings of duty. If he had to guess, they were all here to both witness the Graug in battle or to get a taste of genocide...he couldn't blame them, genocide was quite the rush.

"You come and fight, or you leave." Was Krag's simple reply through the communicator as he marched into the loading bays of the hanger. As he entered, he saw that most of the shuttles were already out of the hanger and on their way to the planet below. The High General grinned with pleasure, barely taking notice as his Horde Guard took their usual positions at his flanks. It was time for him to board his ship and get underway to the planet, it would be unbecoming of a Graug to leave his men unattended on the battlefield.

Juthan looked at the holotransmission as it sounded, the Graug's words "You come and fight, or you leave." were not surprising to him. After all, it was mass genocide this creature that was a Sith lord wanted, why deny that it was my duty to aid where I could when that is what I had signed up for. Though, he felt a slight bit of sorrow and connection to the Kaleesh in a way, after all his own people had been systematically wiped out by a viral terrorist. For a moment the idea of saving a few of the Kaleesh entertained his mind before he sighed, remembering that his first duty was too the empire and not to those that opposed its will, though he mumbled to himself, "Another day."
He brought the shuttle into the atmosphere and headed for the nearest village, reaching for the intercom, "Load the torpedo launchers and aim them sixty degrees down, gunners, head to your post and ready your weapons." Even as he set the intercom down he could hear the sound of the launchers being loaded and the turrets powering up. He sighed once more before securing the visor to this Exoskeleton, his grip tightening on the controls. @[member="Krag"]

Balaya smirked when she heard the plan... Kill everything while not always smart in this case... Worth it. Her blades had been itching to do some mass murdering and then she saw her apprentice as her words came out. leading him to the ship to head down, it was time to take her weapon on a test run while her cloak became a cape going over her pauldrons to frame behind her with her red mane of hair. She stood in front of the might of the slaugh force that had come with them and moved giving a nod of her head. "The mission is simple, we kill everything unless they might prove useful for labor camps. There is no quarter, no surrender. Let the world run over with their blood and do this for Krag."

Then her gaze turned down to her apprentice with a wider smirk. "When we got down there, do as ordered and watch all that happens. The training to see how strong you can be apprentice is here with us." Her hand came out and moved him toward the ship as inside the transport tied down slightly was Jappa the large roogwart she had tamed and near it is where she stood letting the creature lick her hand while they headed down to the planet. It was quite a sight to see as they landed on the world and the doors opened looking at the city, slowly Balaya held her beskad up and let the black blade gleam. "Slaugh attack, Jappa go, apprentice with me." The zeltron walked and let the roogwart move charging towards the temple. she could feel her pet as the soldiers moved marching behind her in formation to give the full effect of what was coming to purge the city. "Apprentice when the time comes you will raxe the temple to kill any trapped in there. Go and setup but wait until we have herded them into there."

The morning skies of Kalee were bright and clear, the warmth of the sun gracing the fine ground of the planet. The Imperials had control of his planet, but Tylan was safe in the fact that he still had power over the fate of his people. As long as the Sith left his planet out of their business, he had no reason to fight them. Fighting led to the needless death's of his people, deaths that they could no longer afford after the Huk invasion. Still, he felt uneasy with this Sith presence. The Empire was not known for their generosity to their subjects, in fact they were known for quite the opposite.

Tylan was sitting in the capital building of Kalee, his eyes wandering from sight to sight from the window of the, newly established, Prime Minister's office. He thought that this job would have more too it, but things had changed little. Although the Kalee now called themselves a united people, the separate tribes still fought for control. The only real difference was that they fought with words now, instead of rifles and grenades. Surprisingly, things seemed to go better when all the tribes were just killing one another. At least with a bullet, you got your point across as clear as day and arguments were usually short and sweet and nobody was left to complain afterward. As the Kaleesh leader sat, starring out the window, he felt a vibration on the seal of the window that he was leaning on. That was peculiar...perhaps there was an earthquake or something.

Suddenly and without warning, the whole room began to shake and something glass fell to the ground and smashed into countless pieces. "What in the hell is this?!" Tylan cursed aloud to himself as he threw open the window of the office and peered outside. Just as he poked his head out, a gush of air beat down on him and nearly caused him to tumble out the window. The warlord, turned Prime Minister, looked up from the window and saw that a swarm of Imperial landing craft had suddenly burst forth from the sky and were quickly descending all around the city. Each hull burned like the fires of hell and their beating engines shook the primitively made buildings as they soared past. He knew it, those imperial pigs had betrayed his people.

Tylan quickly ran to a Cabinet in the corner of the room and grabbed his slugthrowing rifle and an ammunition bandolier. He then rushed back to the window just in time to see a landing craft soar over the building across from his and hover just above the surface of the roof. The loading doors shot open and from them, massive green and pale creatures jumped forth form the darkness of the holding areas and down to the roof. They were monstrous, their stench was so strong that Tylan could smell it from his office. What were these things? Suddenly, the sound of gunfire broke out like a thunderstorm across the city and dozens of ships began dropping off their loads of soldiers on the streets and buildings.

Without mercy, they began mowing down the Kaleesh bystanders on the streets. Tylan was a witness as a bulking warrior grabbed a nearby and unarmed Kaleesh ans stuck the barrel of his weapon right in her face. There was nothing left of her head after the beast pulled the trigger and tore her skull apart with a barrage of slugs. The beast dropped the body, covered in the gore and blood of his victim and roared to the sky as if he were some mad predator screaming with pride at his kill. Tylan's eyes grew wide and he backed up to the door of his office, this was not good...he needed to rally his troops now.

"Fire." Immediately freighter fired down on the city, rockets launched from the side and the two laser cannons on the underbelly blasting apart home after home. Juthan himself had to leave the cockpit and go into the mess area of his ship, not wanting to watch this carnage.

During the assualt, Tae was aboard his master's ship preparing for his plans for Kalee. Tae had come a long way from hunting down Akul and protecting his people from the threat of Shili's many beasts. Tae had put on his black and orange armor and proceeded towards the hangar of the Tulak Hord to search for his master's whereabouts and, hopefully, be sent into the fray aboard The Anubis. Tae had prepared his body and mind for this moment for days and now he was prepared for whatever it was the Kaleesh, or his master, would throw at him.

Krag stood, watching as the final of the shuttles prepared to lift off when his apprentice appeared beside him. Krag looked down to Tae, drool sliding down the side of his chin. He was just in time, Krag was going to board his shuttle now.

"This mission will be a test of your abilities. You will learn the ways of the fire, as I have and you will use them to bring destruction upon the Kaleesh."

"Yes, my master. When will we begin our descent upon the wretches? I hunger for slaughter." Tae said with a hint of eagerness in his voice as he looked to his master.

"My men have already started their assault, we leave now." Krag snorted, pushing his apprentice towards a nearby shuttle with a large, grotesque hand. The beast boarded the shuttle after his apprentice, his Horde Guard following close behind. In a few minutes they would be on the ground and fighting the Kaleesh.

The shuttle was slightly warm and the heat of the large Graug radiating from their bodies added onto that so Tae was in for a semi-comfortable ride. "I have yet to face the Kaleesh, master. Any words of advice against the wretches?" Tae was quite inexperienced against many species of the galaxy due to his former master being only concerned in a few small sectors. "I do hope this battle is a bloody one. I crave death more than usual today, master. I don't know what it is but many Kaleesh are going to day by my hands. That I swear." said Tae Reek before a low chuckle to his master.

He had to give one thing to his apprentice, he craved blood like a true predator should. After their trip to the crypt on Korriban, Krag had grown quite fond of his apprentice and his blood lust. Still, he was more of a tool than a friend and nothing would change the fact that he was not a Graug, but still he was interesting to have around.

"The Kaleesh are weak vermin, they use primitive weapons and I know of no worthy force-users among them" Krag snorted as the shuttle doors closed and the ship launched into space "Our mission is to completely exterminate their kind, those in the cities will die immediately. Already my forces kill all that they see, I expect you to do the same. After we have taken the cities and enough have died, we shall begin moving them to the labor camps where they will work for the greater glory of the Graug until death." Simple, crude, bloody and effective all rolled up into one barbaric genocide. You couldn't find any better way to please a Graug in the galaxy, it was better than sex with a Zeltron.

Krag was silent the rest of the trip, listening to what else his apprentice had to say but not offering any more advice. He was too busy feeling the darkside energies radiating off of Kalee as his forces slaughtered and butchered. The more they killed, the stronger Krag would grow during this battle and so would any other Sith. While any dark energy was good energy to a Sith, there was something special about the aura created when a living being was slaughtered. Krag felt as if the energy created by death gave him more to feed on, it was almost strong enough to send him into a state of euphoria.

As the Graug brute sat, taking in the energy of death, the shuttle finally broke the atmosphere and the shuttle headed for the city center. The shuttle set down in a city square of sorts, flanked by tall buildings on every side. In the middle of the square was a large fountain with a statue of ancient Kaleesh warlords in the center and a road that led right past it. The doors flew open and the Graug soldiers rushed out into a killing filed, the Horde Guard exiting before Krag or Tae. The sounds of battle were deafening, explosions going off in the distance as @[member="Juthan'Athar"] commenced his airstrikes. The Knight ignited his blade and slowly crashed his way down the ramp and onto the battlefield, just in time to see a nearby Graug warrior aiming his "Harbinger" Anti-Material Rifle at a nearby building and firing it through a window. As soon as the explosive charge hit, the entire wall of the room blew outwards and littered the square with rubble and the carnage of those who hid inside.

"@[member="Balaya Zambrano"] , I land with apprentice" he said in primitive basic through the commlink "me take city center, meet you at capital building...then move to temple in jungle."

Tae sat on the shuttle in quiet contemplation. Lurking through his mind was the day he defeated that akul who devastated his home. Tae heard Krag's words and heard them well. Tae began to build a hatred for the Kaleesh. Not for anything particular. He would use this hatred to fuel his burning flame of fury within him the bring upon the mass slaughter of the Kaleesh. Tae was not Graug but he saw them as more than allies on the battlefield. "We'll give the remaining a fate worse than death. A life of servitude. Delicious." Tae licked his lips as he imagined the slaughter and massacre to come. The dark side radiated from the planet like waste from a forgotten lake.

"We're nearing the surface, master. Your rule of this planet is nearly true. Now the fun begins." The ship's doors eased open and the Graug began puring out onto the planet's ground. They landed in the middle of a city unknown to Tae. He walked off the ship, following his master with his unlit saber in hand. The constant sound of battle, blood being shed, body count rising, Ithari being fed. It was a symphony to Tae Reek. Tae then activated his lightsaber's blades and prepared himself for whatever the Kaleesh would toss his way.

Krag paid little mind to his apprentice as called a ball of flame from his lightsaber and threw it towards a group of charging Kaleesh. The ball exploded outward upon impact and the resisters were instantly engulfed in a ball of flame that ate away at their skin. The screams of the burning warriors filled the air as the Graug began pushing forward into the buildings.

"Tae, go with the soldiers and clear the buildings. I am going to wait for the ships to land the warbeasts and begin the march on the capital building."

@[member="Tae Reek"]

Tae looked up to his master and nodded. With him, Tae brought a group of battle ready Graug into the nearest building. Immediately, they were ambushed by a few Kaleesh warriors. Tae took his saber and cut through the midsection of two of them while the Graug warriors mowed them down with their guns. "Keep moving. There's bound to be more." Tae said as they continued moving through the building. Once they had finished clearing this one out, Tae would lead the Graug soldiers following him into the next buildings.

Krag's lightsaber swung violently in the air, cutting clean through the bodies of the Kaleesh without even the slightest resistance from the bones and flesh. His Graug warriors were showing no mercy, already they were covered in the carnage and gore of the Kaleesh and they thirsted only for more. The buildings around the square were either burning or crumbling to the ground. Some windows still held the periodic sniper who would try to pick off the Graug soldiers, but most of the Kaleesh had fled the area to regroup elsewhere. Otherwise they were in the middle of fighting Tae and his raiding party.

Whilst his apprentice continued the massacre in the buildings, Krag watched as the shuttles finally arrived with his war beasts from Gratos. The large ships dropped containers fit enough to hold a full sized walker, but by the violent shaking and growling from within it was not hard to tell that it was surly not a walker inside. Krag grinned, causing disgusting green ooze to roll down his mouth and onto his black ultrachrome armor. Using the force, Krag was able to unlock the ramp of the cargo holder. No sooner had the ramp fell to the ground was the massive Glycons bursting out into the open air, screaming at the top of its lungs as its handler struggled to steady himself atop the beast.

794202-gears_of_war_brumak.jpg

All around the square, three more containers fell and three more Glycons appeared onto the battle field. This was going to be a glorious day for the Graug.
