Wild Space,
Aeten System.

The Dozen's small troop transport exited hyperspace with a flash of light, as stars reverted back to pinpoint dots. Above the remains of the planet Aeten II, known for its valuable source of stygium crystals, the mercenary company prepared for a smash and grab. According to intel, the surrounding asteroid field was once the planet, destroyed in the past, but still retaining the valuable crystal in the debris. The contract was simple enough, even if the actual scenario would be more difficult - the group needed to deploy, acquire and leave with a decent shipment of stygium. The crunch was that the Dozen would be going up against companies who knew exactly how valuable a resource they had, which would mean a high level of security and protective detail... which is why Kur had opted for Ravaj to bring the transport, which boasted some severe power and stealth capabilities.

Walking toward the front of the transport, hunching forward to fit into the cockpit entrance, Kur looked at Ravaj.

"Have they detected us? We should be out of sensor range," Kur said, frowning inside the helmet as he peered over the controls and panels. He didn't really know what he was looking for, but still. "The systems on the transport should prevent basic sensor sweeps... but still, do what you can."

Turning back, giving Ravaj a pat on the shoulder with a large glove, Kur entered the hold. It was completely empty, save for several individuals of the Dozen, so as to allow for maximum shipment space. Picking up his disruptor rifle, the Gen'Dai looked to his other members, grinning in the helmet.

"Approaching the asteroid field... be ready."

Izun looked up as Kur entered the back section of the tea sport. There had been a time when Izun had almost been intimidated by the giant, but now, he saw him as an ally. For however long that lasted in this particular business. Looking down at the Bolter he had been working on, Izun quickly set about putting it back together. In less than half a minute the weapon was fully reassembled, and now sporting the crest of the Dozen, painted boldly on the side.

Pushing himself away from the crates he had been using as a chair and table, Izun walked over to a low hanging shelf, grabbing the helmet for his Immortal class armor there. Pulling it on, Izun let out a long sigh as the suit locked the helmet in place, his senses becoming augmented by the suit. He looked to the other member of the team in the hold area, nodding to them briefly ad Izun walked towards Kur.

"Any changes to the plan, boss?"

As Ravaj sat in the cockpit of the transport, he knew his job right now was the most important. What he needed to do was get past the sensors of 3 Mandolorian corvettes and to get into an able position so that his crewmates could jettison from this transport into the Mandolorian one. It seemed like a difficult task, even with the help of the asteroid field.

Kur and others kept coming in and out of the cockpit, all seemed to be tense but ready for what they were about to do. Ravaj had powered off all things except life support and the engines to keep the ship moving from asteroid to asteroid until he could get a clear shot for the rest of the members. The sensors of the ship definitely hadn't noticed them yet, but you could never be certain.

As he saw the 3 transports lined up, Ravaj moved to a sizable and large asteroid that would give them more than enough cover. As the asteroid was moving, he lined up the ship so that they could have a clear enough shot to go upon the Mandolorian transports. He looked back at the crew behind him: "Alright, you only have limited time and one shot, make it count."

Systems operational: Check. Individual coordination: Evaluating. Mission status: Calibrating analysis.

She stood almost eerily, face placid and posture frozen, near the others as she made her observations of those in the vicinity. Mizuns, or Izun as he preferred to be effectively addressed, spoke followed by the one known as Ravaj piloting the ship. The only familiar individual in the room, inquiries to her data bank confirming his identity and cordial status, was Kur. While she had never worked with him directly more than a select number of instances her banks had been saturated with information provisional of Darth Aion's own personal experience. Her optics flicked from the scene before her to the activity outside as the corvettes they had targeted came into view.

A blink and she had already analyzed them, drawing up their apparent integrity and manufacture credentials from her pre-op data crunch. Only then did she make any indication of motion as she moved briskly past the chiss that had been spoken earlier and approached where Kur was standing. Her motions, while fluid, were all but too human as she emulated the most functional feminine walk for a hairline combatant. Shifting her hips slightly, altering the direction of the majority of her weight as she knew humans to do, she turned her head to and from Kur's position as she made gesture of observation. Crew emotions at an optimal level, consider further investigation regarding Chiss.

"I have begun synchronizing corvette operations with necessary trajectory data, I will be prepared to fly the corvette by the time we make contact." She spoke, breathlessly, with a voice with a sultry ring to it. Though her speech was abrupt there was no doubt that it was fluid and of a well studied correlation to human manner. Once she had finished speaking she once again returned to her almost eerily frozen posture.

Kur considered the plan, eyes distant as he thought about several aspects, calculating and recalculating again.

"Same plan as before," The Gen'Dai said eventually, walking to the back of the transport and placing a hand on a large sheet covered rectangle shape. "We're using these, getting aboard rapidly, and taking over the bridge of the closest transport. And that's where Ariela's new piloting skill comes in."

Pulling the sheet away, Kur revealed two boarding torpedoes, which would allow whomever was inside the means to forcefully enter the desired ship with speed. And considering they weren't going to be under fire, that meant the options were a little more open. Plus, not wanting to give away their position to the patrolling corvettes too early, Kur had an idea that just might afford the small boarding party some additional time.

"Both of you are going inside these, and I'm going to give us a slow burn with my jetpack until we're close enough to rapidly approach," The mercenary continued, smirking inside his helmet. "Ravaj will use that time to lay some surprises for the corvettes, and we'll cut through the asteroids to intercept the transports... and by the time we engage the boarding torps, impact and breach, it'll give us a good lead time on getting control."

The plan was more or less straight-forward; cut through the field with a jetpack guiding the torps, intercept the transports, get close and engage boarding systems, rapidly move through the ship to the bridge. Then, with the surprises in place, Ravaj and Ariela would pilot both ships out of the system by cutting away through the asteroids, away from the corvettes. Or so the idea went. And while it wasn't perfect, certainly, it was solid enough that the dangers were within reasonable levels...

"All aboard," Kur said, patting the torps. "We're ejecting on Ravaj's command."

Izun stared idly at the boarding pods as Kur spoke, his hands flexing in slight agitation. He had heard stories about things like this, entire waves of soldiers lost to the endless void when the pods missed their targets. Or hundreds of lives lost when a few pods got torn apart by enemy defense fire. The prospect of relying entirely on these was not something he was happy with. However, there wouldn't be much arguing with Kur on that point. If he thought the idea was good, then there would be no changing his mind.

Walking towards the one on the left, Izun popped open the entry hatch, placing his weapons in the magnetic clamps along the sides. "Can I just say that I think this is a terrible idea?" Izun briefly glanced back over at Ariela, noticing her gaze. It was slightly off putting, but he had grown used to the uncomfortable with this crew. Climbing into the pod, Izun tapped the controls quickly, the pod sealing back closed behind him.

Ravaj knew that he was the matter between life and death between all the beings in the transport (other than Kur, of course). He was obviously showing signs of doubt that this would work, but he knew his skill level and understood what to do. It was only a matter of time before the asteroid would rotate enough just for a couple seconds to give them a clean shot at one of the transports.

As Ravaj was perched on the slowly rotating asteroid, he was beginning to grow worried they would miss their shot. He walked into the back of the transport looking around at everyone "Alright let's get moving people, you have one shot at this and it's coming soon so let's get in the pods." He walked into the cockpit and looked at one of the scanners "You're leaving in less than a minute. Let's move."

The task was simple. Details coordinated with the incoming protocols as her system clocked into full integration. Kur's words filtered into her system, as did the words of the others though they were treated differently by the algorithms churning inside her hardware. Blinking to refresh her optics, she stepped towards the device she'd been instructed she'd be using and without any question or hesitation climbed into it. While the protest from her compatriot was valid, she herself stood on the confidence that she could manage this mission without requiring such a pod.

One of the many perks regarding being a modicum of lifeless.

Once she was content with her position within the pod, prepped for launch despite the lack of necessity, she silently waited for the next phase. The trajectory was valid and Kur's calculations were sound, even still it hardly mattered as she lay silently in the pod. Whatever came of this mission she would press through and make the most of it with minimal complication.
