TECHNICAL INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • TCD DB-SR01x 'Powerslave' Droid Brain
  • Long-range Bioscanners, tuneable to track and identify specific biosignatures over long distances.
  • "All-purpose" Scanner (motion, metal, comms, droid, vehicle, cargo, minerals, terrain, navigational.)
  • Multi-jointed 'wings' for hand-like movement and maneuverability. (See image above)
  • Force-conduit Lens 'Feedback' Receptors for medium-range force user detection and force alignment identification.
  • Refitted Diatium power cell for long-term usage without an external power supply.
  • Independent Personality Programming with Self-Preservation Protocols.
  • Low Resistance 'Limp Frame' Mode with 'Powerslave'-powered movement-prediction.
  • Force 'Focus' Capabilities, mimicking that of using one's hand for focus on a manifesting a force ability.
STRENGTHS
  • Electro-sensory Amplification: When connected to an apparatus with the same sensor and/or scanner capabilities, the STRND-series ODRDK-F3000 acts as an amplifier, working in tandem with the device to increase the effective range and general efficiency of the sensors and scanners when used through the STRND-series ODRDK-F3000 itself.
  • Self-preservation Protocols: The STRND-series ODRDK-F3000 is programmed to prioritize the wellbeing of itself and its operator. It will rarely act with total independence aside from taking the initiative to protect itself and/or the operator. Independent directional diverting of deflector shield power, deployment of aerosol, application of the taser, and constant advice and information reports about possible threats and safe plans-of-action calculated by the 'Powerslave' AI are some key features of the Self-preservation Protocols.
  • Force 'Focus' Capabilities: Skilled practitioners will be able to use the ODRDK-F300 as a 'focus' when using the force. With use of precise telekinesis or even mechu-deru, the droid can be made to move in a similar fashion to the somatic hand movements one would usually use to focus and manifest a force ability in place of the user's actual extremities. The droid itself has no influence on the force directly, it instead merely aids the user in manifesting the desired effect while keeping their hands free.
  • LRMPFM: LRMPFM (Low Resistance Movement Prediction Frame Mode) activates automatically when the droid is seized or manipulated by the force. This mode allows fine manipulations of the droid to be much easier due to the small movement predictions that are calculated by the Powerslave AI. Low resistance means that incorrect predictions can be easily corrected by the manipulator without much difficulty, and allow the AI to recalculate and correct its course of assistance.
  • Phrik Coating: One of the many modifications made to the ODRDK-F3000 when compared to the previous ODRDK-6000 model was the inclusion of a thin layer of phrik on the outside of the chassis. Seeing that the F3000 is made with force users in mind, it was only prudent that the design includes a measure against the weapon that is ubiquitous with force users: the Lightsaber.
WEAKNESSES
  • Operator Dependence: The STRND-series ODRDK-F3000 is incapable of independent movement and requires an attachment to an operator for locomotion. The droid has no binary vocoder and can indicate scans and information only through light patterns and through connected auxiliary apparatuses such as a visor HUD in a suit of armor, a personal computer, or other devices.
  • Ion/EMP Sensitivity: The small size of the STRND-series ODRDK-F3000 leaves little room for shielding the large density of technological components within, making the droid rather sensitive to targeted interference.
  • Kyber-Instability: The Force-conduit lens composite includes a fair amount of kyber crystal in its makeup. The direct powering of the lens by a diatium cell creates a similar internal effect to a lightsaber, but the energy is encased within the lens for the purposes of operation rather than to be used as a weapon. Due to the small area of power containment, it is easy for the lens to burn out or for the power cell to overload and become inert when under operational strain. This is a nearly unrepairable issue that usually warrants a total replacement.
  • Force Vulnerability: The presence of both force and kyber crystals in the ODRDK-F3000's design facilitates many of its functions, but can also very easily be used against it. The lens and head, which are the most important parts of the droid are very susceptible to the force in general and can easily be disabled or destroyed by it without much effort by the assailant.
DESCRIPTION
The STRND-series droids were inspired by Astromech droids and the utility they provide to fighter pilots. Realizing the niche in the market that had yet to be filled, Darth Avernus and several AvCorp™ engineers made this project a top priority for some time. The design intends to provide specialized infantry personnel with a small, unintrusive, and lightweight droid that could provide them with supplementary tools and sensors as well as an 'assistant' AI. The ODRDK-F3000 model was designed specifically for use by trained force-sensitive operators.

The center 'eye' of the ODRDK-F3000, as well as the top 'bar-wing' hold the bulk of the sensor apparatuses, with the four 'wings' are each outfitted with electronic components internally for sensor amplification, and a highly reflective crystal lens externally to amplify and process incoming visual data. Unlike the ODRDK-6000 model, the F3000 incorporates force and kyber crystal into this lens for force detection and focus capabilities. The lenses also act as reflectors for the many lights installed in both the center eye and wings that are used for visual communication of status by color, and visibility assistance through different spectrums of light that adjust to the environment.

A small, collapsable scomp link and collapsible fusion cutter are both housed within the chassis 'head' directly behind the center eye and wings. The bulk of the electronic components are housed here as well, making the 'head' a vital and vulnerable part of the design. Damage to the head will significantly hinder if not totally disable the ODRDK-F3000. The remainder of the electronic components are spread out along the 'neck' which has a less significant impact on overall operation when damaged unless severed outright.

First and foremost, thank you for taking the time to use the factory. I'll be reviewing this submission alongside Ravenfire Ravenfire and we both hope we can get you an approval on this submission with as little a headache as possible.

If you could link the Manufacturer here, that would be outstanding! Thanks.

Believe it or not here, your balance here is actually coming out as a full 3 points underpowered. If this was intentional, awesome, but feel welcome to but this up by three points if you like.

All in all, this is a fantastic! Please tag myself and Ravenfire Ravenfire with any edits made to the submission

I'm glad you like it!

I added the AvCorp™ hyperlink since I forgot to do so.
I bumped the production up to Minor and the Kinetic Resistance up to Average. I think that still leaves me under by one? If so, I'm fine leaving it a little underpowered in those fields. I think it fits the overall flavor of the submission to leave the rest of the resistances as is and not increase them.

Hopefully that puts everything in order!
