Private Stripping Away the Veil

Sometimes it felt like Ra was being torn into pieces. Now was one of those times. Technically she didn't have a place to call home but instead stayed with her fiancee on Kashyyyk and Naboo. Perhaps it was time she stopped thinking of these places as his alone. When the time was right, they would get married, but no date had been set yet. So when Mike had contacted her about helping somebody he knew, she had to return to Bespin.

The Red Dragon's were based there and had a platform that was all their own. She knew Mike planned to continue to grow, but for now, they were just at one location. Much like how the Dark Hand was on Vjun. As she approached the meeting place, she looked around.

His power was growing and she was confident it would continue this way. Having nothing more than the basics of who she was going to meet, her eyes fell on him. Or at least she thought it was him. Walking up to the figure, she cleared her throat.

"Excuse me, I'm here to meet with Laziryth. Are you him? I am Ra'a'mah Numare. Please just call me Ra."

Typical of herself, she wore business clothes. Nothing that stood out, but it might be noticed there was a lightsaber hilt clipped her hip. This wasn't the only weapon she carried but the only one that could be seen. Ra was not the kind of person to trust a person easily. While to a degree she trusted Mike, Laziryth did not yet have that.

However, Mike had said he needed help and here she was extending her hand to a stranger. It seemed that she was becoming more and more like a Jedi almost daily. Giving herself a mental shake, she didn't think that was possible at all.

Laziryth turned to see a women should was dressed well and he noticed her lightsaber.

"you must be Mike's friend. " Laziryth assumed.

He had heard much about her mostly great things. Laziryth felt a connection to her, but he couldn't figure out why. Something was telling him that she could help is troubled mind.

"You come to help me? " Laziryth asks extending his hand for a very uncharacteristic handshake, but for the moment he felt like it was appropriate.

When he turned around, Ra suddenly tensed up but didn't attack the man. The reason for this was two-fold, she knew him from the Sith Assassins and at first thought, this might have been a setup. His attitude didn't indicate that and then it appeared that he did not remember him. While she was not going to back out of this, she was a bit uncomfortable.

"Yes, I am Mike's friend. Ra'a'mah Numare. Just call me Ra, please."

Accepting his hand, she gave it a firm shake and let go maybe more quickly than what might be considered polite, but she was still on edge. Until he proved he was going to attack her for betraying and leaving the Sith Empire, she wasn't going to be hostile to him.

"How familiar are you with this area? I'm just a visitor. In order for me to help you, I feel it would be better to talk someplace that is more private."

If he said no, she understood entirely and would accept that answer.

Laziryth attempted to be as calm as possible sensing her discomfort.

"I do know the area in fact.. Perhaps we could head to my home it's only a few minutes from this platform and will be a quiet place to discuss matters." Laziryth responded with the information she had requested.

Laziryth was nervous and curious at the same time.. He wanted her to help him but he was skeptical on how she possibly could. He would never tell her that however. Laziryth would turn toward a shuttle and take a few steps turning to see if she would follow...

The fact he did not react to her name gave her sincere hope that he wasn't still with the Assassins and leading her into a trap. That did stick in the back of her mind though. Their jobs had sometimes required them to get close to their target. So she didn't entirely let her guard down with him.

Nodding when he answered her question. She fell into step after he started moving away. One of her hands itched to just draw one of her hidden sabers, kill him and be done with it. Giving herself a mental shake, she was here to help him, not kill him.

He was correct and it only took them a few minutes to reach his rooms. Opening the door for them, she took a seat on the couch there. Leaning back, she waited to begin until he decided to sit as well.

"So what exactly do you need help with? Mike has kept me informed a bit about your training. Is there something you need to learn from me that he doesn't know or something else entirely?"

Making herself as comfortable as she could, her legs crossed at the knee and her foot was on the ground. Her arms were open and indicated she was listening to him, but also on her guard.

Laziryth paced slowly back and fourth in his quarters. He acted as if he was nervous and afraid to speak out, but through his insecurities he spoke anyways.

"I can't remember my past.. I was told you may be able to recover the missing pieces I only every so often see glimpses of. " Laziryth spoke out finally gaining the strength to look her in the eyes.

Laziryth inside was tormented by curiosity and he finally pulled a chair from out behind him and sat across from his hopeful helper.

One of the reasons he didn't attack her soon became clear. He didn't remember her. Mental issues and bringing to the surface lost memories really weren't something she was very good at. However, Ra had once been in a situation just like him. Her first friend and now sister had sent her to Dagobah alone to have her memory returned to her. It had worked for her, so it made sense it might work for Laziryth too. There was another option though.

"I will do my best to help you with this, Laziryth. Off the top of my head, I have two ideas to propose. First, we take a visit to Dagobah. There you might be given a vision and your memory returned, it worked for me. The other one would have you seeking out yet another person. Her name is Jairdain and she specializes in matters of the mind. Which route you take is up to you and I will help you to the best of my ability."

The ball was in his court and the choice would be his. Ra would help him no matter which option he picked.

Laziryth thought over both options heavily second guessing ever thought he had. He was drawn however by Dagobah. He decided that a vision may be easier for him to understand if he was lucky enough to experience one..

"Dagobah.. I choose Dagobah.. I sense my destiny will reveal itself. " Laziryth finally decides after what seemed like hours of thinking.

Only time would tell if it was worth the the time he spent deciding.

He thought about the options she presented to him and decided on going to Dagobah. Maybe that was because of what she had said. Having been in a similar situation and not remembering anything prior to her being an adult clearly, Ra had gone to the swamp world and had a vision there herself. Hoping that by the end of his ordeal they wouldn't be enemies, she nodded.

"We can travel there on my ship if you wish. Bring along anything you think you will need."

It was a quick conversation, she felt Laziyth didn't want to waste time chattering.

"I will be waiting for you outside."

Standing up, if he was like her, he wouldn't pack much and would be ready in a short amount of time.

Laziryth walked over to a case opening it and pulling out his practice saber. He cherished it with his life it being a key fundamental to his character.

"I'm ready. " Laziryth turned putting away his saber on his back.

Laziryth turned to face his escort and would follow behind her out the door.

As Ra expected, it didn't take him very long to get what he needed. What surprised her was he didn't bring any change of clothing. Shaking her head slightly, if he got dirty, then he was going to be stuck in those clothes and making a mess all over her ship.

"Are you sure you don't want to bring any extra clothes?"

If he said yes, she would continue to wait. When he was ready, she would lead the way.

"It won't take us too long to get to Dagobah. Only a day or two."

The docking bay was only just a little further than where they had met, but it only took a few minutes to get there. Lowering the ramp of her ship, she boarded it.

"Make yourself comfortable, take a look around. My room is the one on the right. You can pick any of the others."

Laziryth Laziryth

"My body is fully mechanical.. I do not sweat nor do I need anything but my robes and my saber. "Laziryth confidently.

Laziryth then would turn to her and nod as if to signify he was ready to depart. Laziryth was eager to learn of his past or at least discover some understanding of why he is the way he is. Time would soon reveal his darkest secrets. Riamah Riamah

"As you wish."

This was something she should have remembered, but having worked with droids for a very long time, she sometimes forgot they weren't organic. Laziryth was different though. His body was that of a droid, but his mind was his own. In a way, he could be thought of as more droid than human, but Ra refused to do that.

Their journey was smooth and without complications. Arriving on Dagobah, she hopefully answered any questions he had while on the way. Walking off the ship, she had landed on the grounds of the former Alliance base here. Pointing into the forest, he might feel the well of power that was nearby.

"I can take you there, but this is as far the ship will go. The rest of the way will have to be done on foot."
