He flashes her his lopsided smile pleased at what Leilani said. He was slowly achieving his goal of her falling for him. "We should be there soon within the hour. Long enough to eat breakfast and get ready."

"Excellent I need a shower, and fresh clothes, but all of that for after breakfast." She took a bite of what he prepared, "Have you told your family and your order what you are doing?"

She was curious again.

"No. Well sorta of. My friend Leori knows about the existence of the amulet. She helped me in the search. She doesn't know that I found it." He felt it was to risky for too many people to know. He wanted to keep it secret..

He put some jam on his toast. He takes a huge bite of it.

It would seem many knew about this secret already. Could it be that it was a trait of Hawk, that he had to share secrets? "Becareful Hawk Solo, too many people and someone will steal it from you"

Leilani rose up her gaze staying on Hawk, "How long do you plan on trying to Master this amulet?"

"I don't know how long it will take or even if it is possible to master it." She was right about one thing. He better keep his secret better. Having it stolen would be huge loss.

The ship alarms goes off. "Sounds like we are here." He kisses her before heading to the cockpit. He grabs the amulet on the way. It was glowing white. White was it neutral color. Hawk thought of it as it was sleeping.

He slides into the captain chair. Wraps his hands around the levers bring them out of hyperspace and back into real space. The planet Dagobah was in view. He really didn't like this place. He waits for Leilani to join him. The last time he was on this planet, the wind sheer and storms forced them to land hard. He would need some assistance to land Kamikaze safely.

Dagobah, home of swamps, bugs, spiders, flying things, and...mud. She was thrilled, oh yeah, just thrilled.

She stood in the doorway looking ahead, "you owe me for this, i hate mud" She said quietly, but she knew he had to do this. She only hoped it did not back fire on him.

"What? You don't like mud baths." He says with grin as he grabs the amulet. Time to find out how this work. He walks down the ramp. "Hmmm. Now where is huge lizard? I hate them." He looks around and couldn't spot them. Of course when he wants to find them. They can't be found. So typical.

"Ahhh swamp rat." With lightning force reflexes, he scoops the brown rat in his hand. "Heal or Kill?" He asks her.

He sounded cruel for a Jedi. Experiementation on animals that were only doing what animals had been designed to be. "Heal" She said rather flatly, he had to know she would not, not would many think that his course of action was, honorable.

"ok. Heal it is. Just so you know I don't get any pleasure out of this." He strokes the rat. He grimaces as he breaks the rat's leg. The animal squealed and tried to bite him.

The amulet center stone turn green and healed the rat. "It worked! Wow."

Leilani did not realize that he meant to hurt it to heal it OH her mind screamed. She looked at him, "if you took pleasure out of it I would begin to wonder where your alliance truly lies Hawk."

She heard his surprise that it worked, but she still was thinking about how easily he did harm. It bothered her.

"I think you should throw it into the deepest part of the swamp"

Hawk makes a face at the idea of throwing it into the swamp. "Not yet. I want to understand this before I make any decision. Besides throwing it in the swamp is bad idea. It could fall into the wrong hands."

He knelt down and freed the swamp rat. "You seem surprised. How did you think I was going to test it?" The swamp rat scurried away unhurt.

"Right cause everyone swims fo the bottom of the swamp" She smiled, "Ok Hawk Solo" how did she think, "I didn't think hurting it to heal it was the way, that you would have found something that was hurt"

She did not like what this may be doing to him. He was a lot of things, but he was her lot of things.

Hawk chuckles. You would be surprised on what people would do for this kind of power." He hated to admit the thought to find something hurt hadn't across his mind. Some Jedi he was.

"Good idea.. Let's search for something that really hurt or about to die." He takes her hand as they search the swamp. "Be careful." He points out a few slithering snakes. "Those are poisonous."

Leilani took his hand walking with him, she looked about at the snakes, but it was't the snakes that bothered her it was knowing that that spiders were watching waiting for their moment, had he seen the size of those spiders?

Or the other creatures that crawled on the waters of Dagobah.

"Well if that thing heals, a poisonous snake should be a walk in the park for it" she said with a smile.

Hawk tries not to notice the big spiders lurking around. "Yeah still let's not tempt fate." He reaches out to the force feel if anything nearby was hurting or dying. It was a little difficult sorting out the different life form around them. Everything was so alive.

He felt something dark and menacing nearby. His eyes scans the area trying to locate the source. Everything happen so fast. Three huge swamp lizard jump out toward them. The amulet stone turns red and kills the lizards in mid flight. They fall at Leilani's feet. "Are you okay?"

She barely had time to move, when she wasn't even sure what happen.

She looked at Hawk, then to the dead lizards, "Yeah I'm fine, what happen?"

Hawk let's go of her hand and knees down to look at the dead lizards. There was no outward sign of why they dropped dead. No blood. "Hmmm. I think the amulet did it. I saw it do it once in a vision. That the only explanation I have. The question is why?" He stands and looks at her.

"Maybe it needs to take life to give life" Leilani shrugged it was the only explanation she could think of, and she wasn't sure it made all that much sense.

"Maybe...I'm curious in how it decides to kill or heal. Why did it protect us against the lizard? What is it motivates? ". He grimaces a little as he hears whispers in his head. "Does it have it own thoughts? Is it alive?"

"Maybe it is imbued with some dark lord essence meant to draw in the unsuspecting Jedi" She said with a very matter of fact tone, a very, why had you not thought of all this before voice.

She arched a brow at him.
