The 'Storm' universal combat platform is the newest modernization of the New Imperial Order's Stormtrooper Corps armor pattern, initially under development in 862 aby, the 'Storm' revitalization project was transferred from the Technoid Manufactorum to Kuat Entralla, a subsidiary of the corporation as it began to take manufacturer's right of all New Imperial contracts with more and more of the Skakoan founding technicians and engineers being transferred back to Technoid Manufactorum and the Trade Federation proper after locally raised New Imperial workers had been trained, educated and certified, many of which veterans of the Third Imperial Civil War, a vital asset in the development though of course, the needs of the trooper had to compromise with the cost requirements of the New Imperial Order, a nation more and more strained by an era of Total War.
Largely, many of the systems in place with the 'Storm Armor Mk. IV' were carried over to the modernized combat platform. One of the vital changes came with the shedding of many Jaeger Solutions systems inbuilt into the previous model, the war economy finding it too expensive to continually import the components or face higher charges rather than producing on inhouse licenses, swapping out the heads-up display, combat boots and shield generator with Kuat Entralla equivalents, all of them passing each trial set to the specifications set by the veteran advisors on the development team, resulting in a cheaper and easier to produce armor platform which has also taken ergonomic advantages over the previous Storm pattern.
