The Light that Banishes the Dark
This meeting isn't going anywhere, or at least for the present situation. Many had their concerns, a few spoke on what needed to be said. @ Maynard Treicolt Maynard Treicolt was right. His heart was true. His words might have been 'hard' and some might be considered 'disrespectful', but he is right. Sometimes a Jedi has to go against the Jedi way to keep or bring peace.

A'Sura agrees with this man. He will be training and preparing for what is to come and that is a war with the Sith. So he stood up and left for knowing full well that soon, the Jedi and whatever Alliances that are there will be getting ready soon enough.

A Light Shining in Darkness
Wyatt listened as many showed their support - but when Elise stood, and neither declared for the plan or otherwise, Wyatt couldn’t help but sigh. The Silver’s historically were very autonomous, they had left the Jedi originally after all - it was only to be expected that they would continue to worry about that control now more than ever. He couldn’t blame them - but it wouldn’t matter; they protected a large portion of the Galaxy, and the government they worked alongside with would come to the security council if he offered, he imagined.
And if they didn’t, there were greater concerns at hand.
While the others agreed, Wyatt quickly brought the attention at hand -
Then if those of you willing to fight are in agreement; I would like to change the topic for only a moment. Ryv Ryv and Lanik Dawnstar Lanik Dawnstar have shown exceptional valor in the field of battle, and strength in upholding the Code of the Jedi.”, he said with a nod to the many before them.
Both of you, please stand before the Council assembled.”
Wyatt quietly moved himself beneath the galactic starmap that showed how far the Sith had stretched themselves - thinking it almost ironic that the large display of their power would be superseded by the strength growing in the Jedi. Wyatt lit his lightsaber before the assembly - and the blue light bathed the gathered padawans as they came before him.
Kneel, padawans.”, he commanded - but with a ritualistic authority, one they could respect as endearing, rather than domineering.
We are all Jedi. The Force speaks through us. Through our actions, the Force proclaims itself and what is real. Today we are here to acknowledge what the Force has proclaimed.”
His lightsaber hovered above their shoulders concurrently, but as neither had the iconic braid the order once required, Wyatt settled with the symbolism of a flourish.
By the right of the Council, by the will of the Force, I dub thee both Jedi, Knights of the Order.”
Rise, Ryv and Lanik - as Jedi Knights.”
When he was done, many of the Masters stood - offering a clap to celebrate the occasion. Wyatt gave them both an endearing smile - carefully wrapping an arm around each one as he whispered.
You’ve both grown so much… I want you to know, that no matter what happens from now on, we are family. The Jedi must stick together, and I will be there for you both as long as I can. I’m… proud of you.”, he offered before letting go and taking a step back.
This was their moment, he would give them that much.

Loske hadn't any reason to participate in the discourse up until now; there was enough happening without the kiffar's input. Instead, she broke into an enthusiastic clap at the gathering-turned-ceremony on Ryv Ryv and Lanik Dawnstar Lanik Dawnstar 's behalf.

Knighting! The first graduates of the Paddy Pack!

While palms struck together as kinesthetic praise, she glanced through the crowd to see if Bernard of Arca Bernard of Arca was around. And what his face was doing. Did Arkanian's have expressive reactions?

As the discussion ended, and moved to a Knighting Ceremony, Caedyn remained out of respect for those soon to rise as Jedi Knights of the Order, Lanik Dawnstar Lanik Dawnstar and Ryv Ryv , both of whom he did not know and yet believed all the same that they would go on to do great things as all Jedi sought to achieve in the face of darkness and oppression. "Congratulations" Caedyn whispered quietly, for no one in particular to hear him but simply out of pride and respect for the Jedi Path that these two would continue to ascend and serve.

There was however nothing further that was needed of him, and so in the moment of respite, Caedyn turned and moved to make a subtle exit. His journey back to the Outer Rim Territories would take some time, and between Svivren and Kashyyyk there was still much to be done, let alone in regards to the affairs of House Arenais itself.

The Jedi Temple of Coruscant was a vast and monumental testament to the Jedi Order situated within the Core and heart of the Galaxy, and so Caedyn paused before heading to the Repertoire, to instead pay silent tribute to the towering statues of former Jedi long since passed. Politics was also at the heart of the Galaxy, and the Jedi held their own form of such. Caedyn's father had often found himself in the middle of these discussions, but this was the first that the young Jedi Knight had participated in. He wasn't entirely certain what the aim was, aside from the congregation of larger powers currently in play, that were already tied to one another. While they would seek to go to war, Caedyn would offer what he could, yet the Outer Rim was vast and needed a great deal of support with the remnants of the First Order, the Cultists loyal to the Sith Emperor and the day to day criminality that was rife within the southern expanse.

They all had their work cut out for them, and no one was exempt from that.

Ryv

Paragon of Sacrifice
Ryv remained silent as more spoke up, listening to the others with keen interest. Some echoed the sentiment of Wyatt and himself, while others spoke against it. Every Jedi wanted to complain about bureaucracy, claiming too many Jedi partook in it for some reason or another. Yet, they also all wanted to complain about the establishment of a council. What were the Jedi supposed to do? If no one were to lead them, then they'd need to come together for a group consensus through democracy. Yet, so many just exuded feelings of discontent with the public discussion. It put people like Wyatt in the worst kind of position; damned if he does, damned if he doesn't. He wanted to speak again, voice that very opinion to the self-righteous Jedi, who preached philosophy without consideration of humanity. What good would a code do if all the people they were supposed to protect were dead before they could get there? Ready to speak again, Ryv opened his mouth, immediately slamming it shut at Elise's words.

The Silver Jedi would fight the Sith as they've always done? The sentiment brought a lip-splitting grin to the kiffar's face. She spoke the lie with such certainty Ryv almost believed her, but he knew better. When the core worlds needed the Jedi most, the Silver Jedi abandoned the order. The One Sith broke the last iterations of the Republic and Alliance because so many fled the Sith, all to begin a new order where they could hide away from the threat of the dark side. A small part of the kiffar hated the Silver Jedi Order. His father died fighting while they hid away from the darkness, parading around peaceful worlds as lords and heroes. He wanted to call out to her, to remind her of the cowardice that founded her order, but it would do nothing. To hold onto hate and fear, to blame her for the failings of her predecessors, it wasn't how he worked. He made peace with those feelings when he met Auteme.

Fortunately for Ryv, Maynard's voice rang out after the 'Silent Beacon.' If ever there'd been a time the kiffar wanted to hear the Jedi Ace's words, it had to be then. Ryv looked past the crowd of Jedi and focused on the man who brought him back from the clutches of Sith space. Maynard did not look favorably on himself. He thought about as high of himself as Ryv did, which didn't bode well for the pilot's confidence. The kiffar wanted to help him in some regard get past that and become the Jedi Ryv knew Maynard was, but that would take time. This step was a good one, stepping up to defend a cause he believed in, even in the face of adversity. Ryv couldn't be more proud of his friend.

Before the kiffar could speak up, Wyatt claimed his attention. Following the master's instructions, Ryv knelt on one knee, chin raised to keep his eyes on his master's actions. A smile returned to the padawan's lips as the blade graced him with a flourish. Tears momentarily welled up in his eyes as pride surged through him in waves, filling his chest with warmth. The concerns of tomorrow were momentarily lost on Ryv, replaced instead by the thought of his father. For so long, Ryv feared to fail his late father and not live up to the expectations he had for his son. By growing with the order, standing up for those who needed him most, Ryv did more than succeed; he thrived.

Ryv jumped up to his feet, wrapping one arm around both Lanik and Wyatt before pulling them each into a massive hug.

"Thank you so much, Wyatt," Ryv's voice shook with excitement and emotion, tears already rolling down his cheeks. "You don't know how much this means to me," he soon let them both go, wiping the tears away with his forearm. He stepped back, standing straighter, filled with a renewed sense of purpose. Pivoting on his heels, he turned back to face the crowd of gathered Jedi and smiled, bowing his head to them all.

An icy dagger of guilt slowly pushed itself into his side as the Jedi discussed the path their Order was to take below. He'd taken his seat back in the crowd of robes, fading to obscurity amongst the many, the way he preferred it.

Still padawans and yet they had faced so much strife and war that the Jedi would see it appropriate to elect them to lead their war efforts. He let out a heavy breath, foot bouncing lightly. They were padawans, and yet, the Jedi put so much responsibility on their shoulders.

The courage with which they brought to bear their words made him recoil further into himself. They spoke of battles fought and won, of Sith, Mandalorian warriors, unspeakable monsters from beyond the Outer Rim. Of the experiences they had undergone in the face of certain death that made certain the necessity for Jedi to no longer sit idly by. Even as he wanted to admire the enthusiasm Maynard Treicolt Maynard Treicolt and Ryv Ryv brought with their words, he couldn't help but feel ill at ease.

The Jedi were going to war. Even if Wyatt Morga Wyatt Morga declared involvement in their efforts voluntary, Aldric knew that he had no choice. Guilt was gnawing at his conscience. He had no commitments, no tangible skills to aid the Order in their effort of war beyond his blade and his thoughts. Even if he had attained the rank of master, one he barely believed he deserved, his contributions to the safety of the galaxy had been insignificant if not absent entirely. No matter which way he looked at it, he had failed the Jedi who now stood at the centre of this gathering. Failed every Jedi who had sacrificed, ever.

By the time Master Morga made his announcements the movements of his leg had intensified and his breathing had grown rapid. Sweaty palms gripped the edge of his tunic as his eyes followed whoever spoke with a worried gaze. With every fibre of his body, he wanted to feel happy for the two, but any excitement was drowned out by awful fright, thoughts long subsumed by visions of the death that would befall so many in the Order. In his moment of muted terror, coerced by the certainty of impending war, his only relief was the breathing mask he already wore. He feared without it the exertion his lungs experienced would see him faint in Coruscant's atmosphere.

The sideglance of the yarkora on his right brought his attention back to himself. He stopped the incessant shaking of his leg and relaxed the grip that had befallen his tunic; he shrunk into himself as his breathing strove to steady itself and his gaze lowered to the point he could no longer see beyond the Jedi directly in front of him. The snap-hiss of a lightsabre echoed through the hall. As he turned away from the room's centre he brought the edge of his collar up to shield the lower side of his face.

Even as applause filled the room and many Jedi stood in honour of the Order's newly promoted Knights, he couldn't bring himself to move.
