Every good spacer (and smuggler) needs an equally good gear bag. It needs to be extra secure to prevent nosy little pick-pockets from stealing all those hard-earned valuables. Enter the Stash Pack! Shaye Ares designed this utilitarian backpack herself. Well, she gutted a well-made backpack and altered it for her own needs. And then she upped her game to bring this bag into production. By the way, they are totally not made from a large supply of stolen backpacks.
The Stash Pack features a large main compartment that will fit a change of clothing or a folded up jacket. It has a special padded pocket for a datapad and a built-in charger. The exterior is weatherproof (water and heat resistant), and it’s made to deter would-be thieves with armor weave and shell spider silk and an electronic combo-lock. Inner layers of protective fabric have been used to reduce the risk of data-theft as well, you can never be too careful.
On the surface, it’s a very durable bag -- but there’s more! Along the two side-seams, there are concealed pockets that expand into the interior of the bag. And there’s one hidden pocket along the bottom seam, too. These special hidey-holes are kept separate from the main compartment in order to fool prying eyes.
Speaking of prying eyes, be careful when you enter security checkpoints or places where weapon scanners are used, the backpack cannot fool those. The bag is also vulnerable to a number of weapons (save for vibroblades and blasters), so it can be damaged or destroyed.
