Start Talking?

Rayne was upset. Fuming, actually. She stood outside a local cantina, where she had simply been attempting to get herself breakfast. Out of nowhere some bald human thugs, a pair of twins as far as she could guess, came out of nowhere and tried to mug her. Which was; A, rude, and B, super irritating. All she wanted to do was enjoy a nice egg sandwich, yet the city of Coruscant couldn't even afford her such a luxury. So the young Twi'lek did the most reasonable thing in that situation, which was obviously to beat the snot out of the two men.

The yellow skinned girl wasted no time getting to her feet and swinging, wasting no time at all knocking the first one out cold. The second drew their gun, but Rayne was a far better shot than him. It wasn't long before they were both down.

"W-wait!" the still conscious goon pleaded, now very anxious. "W-we can talk this out, girly-"

A scoff escaped from the Twi'lek. She promptly flipped the man off and fired a stun round at him. She sighed, turning back to the owner of the cantina and giving a bow of apology before setting off once again.

As she stepped out the door, Rayne bumped right into someone else.

The hard metal shell of a droid would not be fleshy or soft instead cold. The droid would grab her hand and wrist it is knew what this twi'lek did, granted in self defense

"Twi'lek you have fired in the presence of..."
"Cole that is enough" Said a Gentlemen, one dressed as if he was of noble blood, but a bit more adventurous
"But sir She..."
"This Twi'lek acted in self defense, besides she meant no harm to me, you may release her"

The Mans voice was Sweet to the ears, and deep. A slight darkness could be felt emanating from him. His Double-bladed lightsaber stood proudly at his side as he moved foward to the side of the droid. If the Twi'lek women would not immideatly run off he would speak once again

"I am very sorry for my droid, Sometimes it goes off the wires if it senses a discharge in a weapon, My name Is Dorian please accept my apology"
Words followed by a small bow

Dorian was on Coruscant to meet up with a few old friends, however he liked to be early, a few days to early in fact

It started with a hollow mechanical thud, followed by a quick grasp of her wrist.

"Twi'lek you have fired in the presence of..."

The owner of the droid was quick to request her release, but all Rayne could do was scowl. Twi'lek? She wasn't some kind of animal. They could at least call her woman and not fixate on what she was. Thankfully the droid did release her, which was for it's own good. Had it held on to her for a little longer she would've taken control of it. The machine was made of tough stuff, but Rayne had a natural talent for worming her way into the minds of the synthetic.

The young woman frowned at the way the man talked. It was... odd. Buttery smooth but highly pompous and with a cold edge. This was clearly not an individual who was very considerate of normal folks, even if he had asked for her to accept an apology.

Oh great, now she had to respond. Did this guy even sign? How was she supposed to tell him she didn't speak?

S U R E, Rayne signed rather reluctantly, making sure to spell out the individual letters in case the man knew a little. Hopefully that would be enough to clear the situation up and have her go on her way.

The droid of course translated it as just "S" "U" "R" "E" And At first Dorian Was confused as he heard nothing, from the women but he looked up and Almost got right on it "Ah I see, I am sorry...But" He picked up his own hands signing himself. It was crude compared to hers but it got the job done " I can read it just fine"

Of course he would rather just speak and that is where he felt on of his strongest suits were. "My sister is much like you in that regard, She can't speak either" He moved his hands back behind his back and clasped them together "May I know your name young one, I like knowing those I talk to" He asked nicely, Of course if she wanted to not speak, or rather sign Anything she did not have to, and If she were to run away he would not chase after her. He was not holding her down

"Excuse my curiosity, but were you born like that, or was it something else?" His curious mind always go the better of him

He could read sign. That was surprisingly not very common, which was always always frustrating. The man continued to be strange in his mannerisms. Young one? Rayne frowned at that. She wasn't that young, right? Her age was... unclear actually, but she was at least sure she was an adult. She certainly looked like an adult, which only made her wonder how old this guy really was.

R A Y N E, she signed. There wasn't really a good way to say her name that wasn't spelling it out.

"Excuse my curiosity, but were you born like that, or was it something else?"

None of your business, Rayne answered with a muted sigh.

She wasn't about to explain her life story to some random stranger, not one who's droid had attacked her. Speaking of, Rayne was beginning to become curious herself.

Your deal? the young woman signed, phrased as a question. You send droids after strangers for fun?

Her signing was very tongue and cheek. Even without words it was clear that she had an attitude. As far as Rayne was concerned it was justified. His droid had grabbed her unprovoked after all.

"I can understand that...After all you don't know me, and don't need to tell me" This was not the first time he asked what could be considered a "rude" Question and it would not be his last. While in politics, or leading people he was a natural speaker, but a casual chat to him was...A bit awkward to say the least. In all his years had has had far to few casual chats with others, something he did want to change

"Once Again I am very sorry for my droid... And no I don't send my droid to chase people...Not for fun at least. Cole is my guard and takes no chances" Cole being the name of his droid. He could take the Twi'leks apparent attitude "This question you will have to answer Rayne, Who were the two you shot, Just creeps on the street?" This tone of his was a bit more serious.

"This question you will have to answer Rayne, Who were the two you shot, Just creeps on the street?"

She had to answer? What was he, some kind of officer? There wasn't really much to it. This was Coruscant. Even 200 levels below the surface did scum and villainy rear their ugly heads.

Don't know, she answered with a shrug. Assholes probably. Didn't keep their hands to themselves.

Rayne frowned. Was this an interrogation? She had never had trouble with authorities before. For all she knew this weird persona was a deep cover. It seemed unlikely, but the situation was certainly confusing enough for her to consider it. She let her answer linger for a moment before continuing to sign.

They're still alive.

There. That should clear things up. She hoped things wouldn't get any weirder. Rayne didn't know if her brain could keep up with it all.

"I have no patience for men like that, Trying to mug people, a women no less" He let out a heavy sigh "Many people don't keep there head to themselves and people that don't keep there head to themselves should be able to protect it, Clearly they could not" He was not one to keep to himself, He did like to chat with many people, but he knew that if even his droid could not protect him, he could easily pick up the slack

"Do you need an escort for a while, just to make sure someone thinks twice" He knew he likely would not need to, or that this women would even accept her offer, But he asked trying to be nice. Plus he found this twi'lek a bit interesting, as he had not met any mutes before, barring his sister of course. He knew he may have came across a bit creepy, but that was never his intention.

This woman can handle herself, she signed, frowning a little.

Rayne didn't care what kind of goofy elite culture this Damion fellow came from. She was a fighter. She wasn't going to wait for someone with higher social standards solve her problems, not when she could fix them with a blaster and some elbow grease. Strangely, the man did offer to escort her. It was a bit amusing, she thought, given that she was borderline homeless aside from her ship that was serving as her home. Such an escort would be short lived and not very glamorous.

I'll pass, she insisted. To be polite though, Rayne did rather reluctantly throw in a Thanks anyways.

"While I would Insist, I am inclined to believe you can handle yourself" He would had her a small chip "You were fun to talk to, I would love to speak more if you wish" The chip would contain his holo number "Plus if you are in trouble I would be happy to help

He was interested in the Twi'lek. NOT in a romantic or another way like that, but he did find her fascinating. The holo chip would contain his droid's holodeck integrated into its right hand "I am staying on planet for the next few days" He did not want to force her to call for his aid if needed, as he would be happy if she simply rejected it or threw it away somewhere

Rayne was so lost. Fun to talk to? They spoke for like five minutes. Him offering his number was also odd. Everything about it screamed some kind of dorky pick-up, but everything about the man said he didn't swing that way. The young woman rather cautiously took the chip, examining it for a moment before slowly sliding it into her pocket.

S U R E, she signed out again, still trying to collect her thoughts on the matter.

Well now things were awkward, which Rayne hated even more. She figured it was probably for the best that she made her leave now.

Bye, the woman signed with a shrug.

If the man didn't protest her departure, Rayne was walking out the door and off into the undercity to return to her ship.

Before she would look away he would copy her last moves "B Y E" He would sign back to her as a form of respect for her. Sure they might have only been speaking for a few moments, but Dorian Did like to chat, especially with one's he found interesting, and she was interesting to him. He would watch her depart for a bit before turning to his droid. Hos smile leaving his face, turning into something a bit more serious, and maybe just slightly concerned

"Follow her...keep her out of trouble, don't let her see you, and keep it non-lethal" He spoke to his droid as a direct command. While the droid was not built for stealth, but it would have little problem blending in with the crowd of both organics, and droids.

Meanwhile Dorian would turn on an commlink so he and the droid could stay in contact if an emergency arises, and would continue his walk alone waiting.
