Darlyn couldn't have asked for a better sparring partner.

That really wasn't an understatement, Kahlil Noble Kahlil Noble had rapidly earned Darlyn's respect, if only as much as he was willing to give based on a first impression. He'd been treating this fight fair the entire time, offered banter in return to his own, and was respecting the effort and threat Darlyn was putting forth. Recognizing Darlyn's talent, at least as far as Darlyn saw it, was something a Jedi rarely would do, or perhaps he rarely allowed himself to believe they would do. So Kahlil was winning points in that regard for certain, as he also was for the resourcefulness in his defense. Using a brief barrier to help block lightsaber strikes?

He knew it was no tutaminis, which would be the only way to really stop the strikes right and proper, but knocking it back with the Force was more than a little respectable! He had to show an equal amount of resourcefulness of his own.

He began to focus on the assault using Kun's weapon, picking up its pace and slowing the sneaky strikes from the second training saber to allow Kahlil to focus entirely on Kun's weapon. Faster and faster, his wrist worked overtime to keep the blades whirring and spinning in as ceaseless an assault as possible. Then, when he reached the fastest pace he could manage, he gently tossed the green training saber to his side, allowing it to spin and whir away from Kahlil, before it went in an arc through the air, like a boomarang.

Exar Kun to the front, training saber spinning in from behind. He was eager to see if Kahlil had a trick for this!

It was getting harder and harder for Kahlil to keep up with what Darlyn Excron Darlyn Excron was giving. Each strike was faster, more focused. The young Jedi's eyes had closed by this point as he let the Force take over his actions. It was really the only reason why he was able to keep his blade moving enough to keep from getting hit. It was the throw that changed everything. For them both.

As calm and fluid as ever Kahlil turned and twisted. His saber once more caught the Exar Kun blade as he reached out and snatched the green training saber from the air at just the right moment before swinging it around to strike his dueling partner.

Darlyn's arm moved on its own, moving to intercept the green blade. He hadn't even really realized that Kahlil Noble Kahlil Noble had caught it and moved to swing it into him, and Exar Kun's blade was being kept away from being of use blocking the training weapon. So his arm moved, and in a flash, it did the only thing that came naturally to stop the blade where it was.

Brilliant violet sparks formed, before a low-powered bolt of lightning was released, slamming into the green blade. Normally, this wouldn't likely be a problem, and the swing would only experience a small speed bump. But Darlyn? Darlyn's lightning was as kinetic as anything else he could've done, and actually stood a chance of pushing the arm back, or disarming the training weapon. It was sort of up in the air what would happen, but without being able to twist his weapon around in time, this was the best he could do.

"Nice catch! You practice that?"

Kahlil could feel the dark energy, but the training saber wasn't his. It's balance wasn't something he knew. If it'd been his own saber he might of been able to keep a grip on it. Instead, though, it flew from his grip as the lightning impacted it. He jumped back shortly after, not wanting to stay too close to Darlyn Excron Darlyn Excron and let him unleash another blast of that lightning or assault of his blade.

"Not exactly. More of letting the Force guide me." He flashed a grin, lifting his blade once more in a classic Soresu stance. "Glad it impressed."
